13 pointsUpdate on Scottie Yesterday, Scottie had his fourth surgery since the car accident. This surgery was to replace his two catheters and to see what the next plan is for his recovery. We had some questions and concerns about him being able to pee normally or if he has to have a catheter the rest of his life. We were told that everything is fixable it just depends on what the course will be. I could see the weight being lifted off of Lowell and Scottie's shoulders and the anxiety lessen for Scottie. Scottie was taken back into surgery to replace his catheters a second time. His procedure was a success and he has two new catheters. We were told after the surgery by the surgeon that Scottie will be in pain for the next few days and that his urine will be a punch color. We were informed that his reconstructive surgery will be happening in April sometime. We asked our questions and got some of our answers and we are waiting on clarification on the others. We were taken back to see Scottie anticipating him to be sleeping or resting and much too my surprise Scottie was awake and in pain. Once his pain was under control, we were able to go home and we were back home about 12 pm. After we arrived home, I went into the house to get Scottie's bed ready for him, when all of sudden I heard the door open and to my surprise it was Scottie walking in with Lowell helping him. Seeing Scottie walking was a big accomplishment, but also it took a toll on him. About 1:00 pm, we received a phone call from the resident who was in on the surgery, and he informed us that after looking at the images that were taken during surgery that he had some good news. He stated that we needed to come back to Rochester and have his penial stent catheter removed and in 6 weeks we go back to have his supra-pubic catheter replaced and more imaging done to determine when reconstructive surgery will happen. Well, being that was something totally different than what the surgeon originally told us, I called and spoke to the surgeon. After talking to the surgeon who has been on his case from the beginning, I found out that his penial stent will stay in and that his reconstructive surgery will be delayed. The reason for the delay is because they need more scar tissue and urethral tissue to form before they consider the reconstruction surgery. The gap between the bladder and urethra is 2 cm and they would like the gap to be smaller. I was also was informed that Scottie needs to start standing up by the edge of the bed and that he needs to start a home exercise plan to help with his anxiety. Scottie has had some issues in controlling his bladder spasms and his pain that is associated with having two catheters in his bladder. He has issues controlling his anxiety when he is in extreme pain, but the medical team has switched around his medications to help with the bladder spasms and pain. Bryan is doing well and he talks to his one teacher weekly about Scottie and how he is feeling. Bryan is focusing on his school work and his graduation in May. Please continue to pray for both of the boys and our family as we continue down the long road to recovery with Scottie and Bryan. We want you all to know that we appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers and thoughts.

But the gentlemen said he felt it needed to go with me and i was not gonna disagree. Came with a solid deck and it's got a k-90 and solid seat pan!

7 pointsI have both blowers, blades, front end loader etc and they all have their place. For a light snow under 8" or so the blade does it well and quickly. For a very deep snowfall the little wheel horse would have trouble pushing a blade so the blower works better. For the odd time we get wet sloppy snow sometimes it ends up being a bit of both. Always best to have multiple tractors, Wheel Horses in particular love to travel in herds. Here is my lineup from 2015 Cleat

6 pointsThe real pain is getting the flag connected to the lift lever. Once you have the blower installed and the lift rod length adjusted with the spacers, you could remove the blower and leave the flag in place. If you don't use the lift, just tie the flag up so it doesn't catch anything. With the flag already in place, you should be able to install or remove the blower in 10 minutes. Or, get a plow and leave it on all winter. I haven't used my blower for 3 years.

4 pointsFirst, a bit about me. My blood pressure is high when not controlled, but unfortunately i found out how high the hard way, because I always take my meds Having 5 days of supply left, I decided to find a new doctor because my existing doctor left my exams up to the nurses. I took my old prescription list which was two blood pressure meds . The new doctor said they could be combined into one pill and asked me my pharmacy and it was WalMart. Then life got interesting. WalMart did not have the stuff on Thursday. My wife went there on Friday and no dice on the combined meds pill and the old script i had of two pills could not be filled because the doctor prescribed the combined pill. This was Friday. evening. Walmart said no worries hat they would call the doctor in the morning. UMMMHMMM. I am not stupid enough to believe that. Doctor's web site said he would be there on Saturday. after arguing with my wife about haw nice the people were at WalMart, i simply asked her if she knew how nice the morning shift would be on Saturday.. i am figuring worst case scenario. i got my pressure checked and it was nearly at the level you are supposed to be at an emergency room.. I just quit arguing with my wife so as to not raise my pressure even higher I decided that it was up to me to save my own bacon, so i went to the doctor [who lied on his website about being open] by posting a sign on the door of new business hours. Wanting desperately to posses a piece of paper with a RX on it, my only option was going back to back to Wal mart. i told them Failure was NOT an Option and what was gonna happen in no uncertain terms. Either the drugs or if they were still out, a paper scrip that was my property that I paid for and wanted back. The pharm people were not having that , but I stood my ground. i told them to get on the phone and find and find another WalMart that had the stuff in stock. They gave me the 'Why didn't i think of that?' look and found another store that had the stuff ten miles away.. Victory Lessons learned is never leave the doctor's office without pAPER when you have a new prescription, and be able to think outside the box a bit when you are surrounded by others who have a narrow focus...Oh, and i found out that my old medication was recalled! You cannot make this stuff up!

4 pointsIn ‘06/‘07, I rode my hard tail (struts) Shadow plenty of times in single digit temps. It was my goal to ride every month of the year, so if there was no snow or chance of melted runoff freezing, I rode. I made myself a steel seat pan that I could bring in to work and keep warm, and had a warm bed when I got home from night shift.

4 pointsThey were built in 76 & 77 as the entry level tractor. Same frame and transmission as the B's and C's at the time. Recoil start and no frills at all. An excellent tractor.

3 pointsRecently picked up a near complete 61 db and although it was repowered, began the trouble-shooting process and replacement parts search. Many thanks to Jabelman for technical assistance and providing a key element to fitting this engine correctly. See the main obstacle is carburetor base. Shame, the prior owner replaced the original engine and didn't keep the sheet metal, not the hood bracket, or even the carb/offset! Just tossed all So here's a few pictures of the progress made. The old recoil & shroud were toast. I rebuilt a pull and rustled up a vertical 7hp shroud. Just enough to to test for spark. Removed the drive belts. (This thing has no neutral) engine does have spark! Thank God! Magnetron Ignition are amazing! The whole unit will be gently disassembled and put back together as per the manual. I have just enough of the implements to hurt myself! Lol It's no Wheel Horse by no means, but a challenging and rewarding endeavor...... Regards, Oldman

3 pointsAt my parents' place back home in WV this morning...and here at my place in VA now...
-
3 pointsOk my take on the situation, the single stage thrower will lift rather high 8-10" vs the 3-5" a dozer blade does, so with that being said why couldn't you leave it attached from fall to spring even fetching wood from the woods.

3 pointsand he’s really good at making decals! By the way, I used to work at an appliance manufacturer. A quote from the engineering VP: Stickers are what you get when you don’t crap your pants in preschool. Decals are for race cars and labels go on water heaters.

3 pointsOk great I saw it at the 2x11 size and again with the snow blade kit but missed that one. I'm gonna blame it on a long night at work lol. Thank you order going out soon as I get home from work.

2 pointsI am starting to redo one of my 8 disk harrows. Got it tore down and 90% blasted when I got to this decal. I went to vinylguys site and don't see it. Anyone know where I can get one/two. Don't want to have to try and save it. The decal seems to be thicker than regular and clear covered it is 1 3/8 x 7 5/16. Thanks

2 pointsLove you too Jim! Yeah them hurricanes are no fun. In ‘04 when we got those four in a row, it was a mess. Every weekend, another hurricane. Just enough time between storms to go out and pick up shingles, spread more roof patch on the open spots and clean the yard.......just to get ready for the next round.

2 pointsIf you haven't tried it before - try using long, heavy blocks of aluminum to dissipate the heat. It does several things - provides a dam to hold the argon gas pocket better, removes the heat much faster and helps to control warpage on larger parts. I hunt for heavy extruded aluminum scrap in the local yards and buy it for pennies on the dollar - most yards will sell aluminum, brass and copper back out for a little more than scrap price. That is where I buy material for the lathe to make custom bushings/bearings for worn parts in my shop. Sarge

2 pointsIf only need a blower a couple of times, why not mount a DOZER BLADE instead. The blowers have lots of high RPM moving parts prone to breakdowns / repairs. A dozer blade (42 or 48") has virtually no such parts and require little maintenance. Whats more, the dozer blade will come in useful in so many ways...especially in the woods, grading driveway, and they are awesome for snow clearing as well. IMHO...get a dozer blade and leave it on permanently. Very easy mounting too. Will require a rear axle mounting bracket which is also used for a roto-tiller. What's in this pic is exactly what you need for the dozer blade. I HAVE THIS AXLE BRACKET.... send me an email if wanted. my email is: daveoman@windstream.net

2 pointsagree with ed kennell , on the blower hook up , i also put the blower on a 4x4 to make it a quicker hook up. i hook up at tech a matic ,first , giving me mechanical advantage. at the lift rod hook up. also agree with the 10 min mount/dismount time, pete

2 pointsThanks Ed, sort of what I figured, but I thought I would ask. There was a like new thrower ad recently here just a couple of miles from the house for 200.00 and I passed it up. I didn't want to pass up another one if it was practical, but it appears not. Guess I'll just have to build a bigger shed and have a tractor for each job like I saw in one of your photos recently! Gary

2 pointsSo glad to hear. Thanks for the update. Still hoping to see Scottie at the big show.
-
2 pointsThank you Joette for the update. Way to go Scottie for standing and walking. I know it is not going to be easy but I hope that you take courage and keep at it. Moving as much as you can will not only help physically but also mentally. The mind feels much more rejuvenated when we get up and move around some. We as a family and a TeenGroup will continue to pray for healing, successful surgery, and strength during the recovery. Be Strong buddy! We also will will be praying for Bryan as he is winding down his senior year toward graduation. That is always a busy time and goes by in a heartbeat! I hope that he will be able to accomplish the necessary work and make some positive memories in the process.

2 points@Sparky.... Must be terrible. 0 here this morning headed for a forecast high temp of 35 and sunny!! Tomorrow could hit 39!!!!! Must be summer already! I can feel some snowshoeing coming up.

2 pointsWelding is finished for the night. I’ll leak test tomorrow then finish mounting the top pan!
-
2 pointsI agree with 953 and others on waiting to order parts until you tear it down. I started out planning to replace seals in my 71 Raider 10. The trans showed no signs of failure other than oil leakage, but once I split the cases, I found bearings missing rollers and a broken pinion carrier. Needless to say, I replaced all the bearings and seals as well as the pinion carrier. Stevasaurus’s video is a great tutorial if you have never done one of these transaxles. Danny
-
2 pointsWell, here’s an update. I’m not positive if it’s an excitement or a disappointment, but I only have 106” of tig welding left! There is approximately 191.25” of baffle seams inside the pan. I also came up with this logo for the door. If you have to ask what it means, well that just tells me that you’ve never been in such a hot place for extended periods of time that you.... need to get creative to keep all your things comfortable.

2 pointsYou caught me...I did not think they even made a B-60. Looks like they came with 7 hsp Kohlers K-161-T. Do you have a model number on that horse? Or know what year it is?? Looking at what section you posted in...is this B-60 electric?? Would like model number.
