15 pointsJust got out of the hospital. Overall Emory’s EEG didn’t show anything unusual, but enough activity was there to show that he had a seizure and the possibility of a future seizure. They are keeping him on his medicine for the near future. Weaning him off or stopping the medicine will be a discussion later on down the road as he grows. Thanks for all of your support and prayers. Redsquare is the best! Thanks so much to our Wheel Horse family!! Back to his goofy self!

9 pointsUpdate on Scottie... It has been a while since I last updated you and a lot has happened. After our little trip to St. Mary's emergency room on the 6th of January, we found out that he had a blocked suprapubic catheter and the urology medical team wanted to see Scottie on Tuesday (01/08) as an outpatient to change his catheters. I was a little skeptical as what the medical team was planning on doing on Tuesday, was Scottie going to tolerate this procedure without being put under, or was he going to require surgery? We arrived to his appointment on Tuesday, Scottie was in severe pain from just traveling over to Rochester, that any other movement or transfers was going to send him over the top for his pain. Please keep in mind that he was very medicated before we left home. Once we got into the room, Scottie had to be transferred onto a table in which made him cry out in pain, and he needed to have his bladder full of normal saline in order for the two urologists to change out both of his catheters. Well, the nurse started to put in the normal saline solution to fill his bladder, and he only put in 30 cc out of 150cc and Scottie was screaming so badly that I told the nurse to stop and to go and get the doctors and let them see Scottie like this. The doctors came in and stop the procedure and scheduled him for surgery instead, because they did not want Scottie to be in so much pain. We were sent home with a surgery date of Thursday (01/10). Lowell, and I got Scottie all ready to go and into the truck and off to St. Mary's for his catheter change. The urologist was uncertain if we could replace the suprapubic catheter and be able to drain it like before since he was unsure of the placement of his bladder. We were told that if he was unsuccessful with the suprapubic catheter placement that our other option was to drain the bladder from his penial stent. Not the option that Scottie wanted nor did Lowell or I want. The surgery was to last for about 30-45 minutes once Scottie was put under, much too Lowell and my surprise 30 minutes later Scottie was out of surgery. The urologist came out and talked to us about the procedure and told us that he was able to replace the suprapubic catheter and the urethral stent without any complications. He was also successful with allowing the suprapubic catheter to drain his bladder. We also were told that Scottie's bladder was high in his pelvis after the accident on 12/12/2018, but after the scan on Thursday 01/10/2019, he was able to see the bladder returning to the normal location. Since the surgery, Scottie has been in pain from the bladder spasms and from any type of movement. When he has a bowel movement, it causes pressure and he strains (not intentionally) and it triggers a bladder spasm. We were told this week that we are looking at two more surgeries from the urology stand point. One for another catheter change which will be two months out and the second surgery will be for the bladder and urethra reconstruction which will be three months out. Providing that we don't have any other complications that arise between now and then. We go in on Friday for his orthopedic appointment to check on his pelvis and his other fractures. We will find out if his hardware needs to be in permanently or if he will need it taken out. Will he be there for the Big Show in June? I truly can not say for sure as of yet. All I can tell you is that Lowell and I are planning on him attending but we will have to see how Scottie is doing then. Scottie is one spoiled little boy by the Wheel Horse guys in Wisconsin. Thanks to WHX21 and others, they made Scottie's day!!! I love to see him smile!!!!

8 pointsEmory pulled a push mower out of the weeds at my MIL’s house. We know it hasn’t run in at least 40 years. He wants to get it going for a 4H project. Here’s a shot of him working this morning. Good way to keep him up😃.

5 pointsThis is the infamous 1959 David Bradley Sears Transition Tractor Model 91760601 I found in Chesapeake Beach Maryland. I found the hood in Holden, Massachusetts. I have a total break down in mind. I think this one is the 1959 Gold & Blue..I wonder if my vinyl guy can reproduce these decals? Regards, Oldman

5 pointsDon’t feel bad Richie. I honestly don’t think I matured past 8 years even though my body is 45😂🤣😂! Lots more fun that way!!!!

5 pointsNothing wrong with being goofy. I have lots of practice at it. Glad to hear he’s doing ok.

5 pointsI found an ad on CL for Garden tractor rims with 23 x 10.5 x 12 tires on them. I went to the guy’s house and bought the rims. I was telling him I collect wheel horses and I’m going to use these wheels on one. He takes me to his garage and asks me if I want to buy another horse. I said sure and I’ll be right back with my trailer. Now I own a 310-8 . It runs great and the blades work too.

5 pointsDear Lord, be with Dell and Emory, provide them with safe travels to and from the hospital and guide the doctors to provide answers and a solution to Emory's seizures. I ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

5 pointsBeen working a little while we try to keep Emory awake for his test. His engine runs great when it’s on level ground. As soon as you get on a hill and the float bowl empties, the engine dies because the fuel is gravity flow. Checked the cam and it appears to have the lobe for a pump, but won’t run a mechanical pump. So...I decided to try a Briggs pulse pump. I tapped the fuel pump block off plate for a new vacuum fitting. Got it plumbed up. We’ll see if it works after we get it off the table. Kind of looks like it’s got a heart now🤣.

4 pointsMy dad works as a machinest in the big college locally. He was up at the scrap yard one day and found this almost brand new toro wheel horse snow thrower. I didn't really look at it cause he wanted to give it to my brother in law with his last wheel horse but then he bought a JD. Now he's gettin the 310 I picked up the other day. I went to my dad's to get the thrower and realized it wasn't ment for a 310 style tractor. I ran the serial number and it turns out it is ment for a 260 series toro. Well after doing some digging in my parts pile I have every piece I need to convert it to fit. So between my parts and my dad's fab skills we might have it up and running by this weekend storm so I can put it through its paces before I deliver it to him.

4 pointsThat looks like a fun buggy, might need a diving suit to keep dry while driving it though I think the standard Volvo Turbo engine produces about 160-ish Hp.. A few tweaks to the standard turbo will see that number rise to almost 200hp!!! If that's not enough I could always change the chip in the brain for something a bit more sporty and get even more power!!! (note to self.. Check life insurance before driving) Morning all, no progress has been made on Wheel-Vo at all in quite a while, all the parts have been carefully stashed away until I get MadTrax finished, but some thinking has been happening.. The nice slot mags that came from a CX trike a long long time ago were dug out to see how they looked.. Me rather likes To get the wheels to fit the Volvo axle I'm going to have to make a pair of wheel adaptors as the PCD on the wheels is a lot bigger than the Volvo PCD.. The trike the wheels came from was running (we think) an Escort rear axle using these adaptors to get the wheel to fit!!! The thought of putting any power through these is scary to say the least!! But as luck would have it I did make a start on a pair of wheel adaptors to fit these very wheels onto Project Why Not which saves some work although there is still plenty of lathe time needed to finish them.. When I start back on this project the first job is to tempoary widen/lengthen/make a bit taller all the panels until the "upscaling?" looks right and of course the engine and other bit's are covered by the bodywork.. Then I can start measuring for a chassis and try to work out how to get suspension under the thing.. No suspension (like Why Not) would be easier, but Why Not gave my body such a hammering that I don't think plonking a cushion on seat would be enough

4 pointsWe’ve made it and Emory is so sleepy that he’s just silly. We did manage to keep him awake though.

4 pointsMy favorite Pageant of Steam show of all time. Historical construction equipment was the feature. I sat there for hours watching!
-
4 pointsWell, Emory and I are up. Time to start the sleep deprivation part of his test. This is going to be hard for both of us. I’ll be glad to get back home this afternoon!
-
4 pointsvery cool, I did I full resto on one of these, looks like the belt guard is there, are the 2 part front rims? one side is reverse thread! that's the same decal set I used on mine, just an FYI that engine is a replacement. you will also hate roll pins when your done!

3 pointsThought some might find this interesting. Was in an H-60 I built for a go-cart in the 70's. Got it out of a shop in California. Block was bored for a caged needle bearing on mag side with ball bearing on PTO side. Ports cleaned up .040 or so off head. Camshaft reworked for more lift.

3 pointsAny updates on our boy @wheelhorseman? Tell Scottie he’s got to get straightened out soon so we can all see him at the show in June. Bet that boy will be spoiled rotten!

3 pointsGood eye Howie ..the plot thickens! One of the problems with having a "cabin" Jim is you need two sets of everything! I usually don't have too much problem explaining that to SWMBO! She gives ya any grief about havin a duplicate set of tools. for the cabin ask her to drag her kitchenware back and forth!

3 pointsI Installed My Center Brace Today, Don't Remember Who's Idea This Was, But Thank You For Posting Pictures. I was Thinking The Same Thing, That's Pretty Wide Without A Brace To Help Hold All The Torque. Here's A Few More Pictures Taking Today After The New Install. Tomorrow I'll Finish The Scraper Blade And Skid Shoes Install, Then Onto The Idler Sprocket Install On Thursday.

3 pointsMy choice on the loss. I mainly chase round hoods up to early 70's. He is a great guy. He better take good care of this one. I plan on working a maintence plan with him since he isn't mechanically inclined.
-
3 pointsThanks guys! I'm leaving work in a few minutes to go home to get some rest. My wife is going to put Emory to sleep at 10:00 and he and I will get up at 2:00 a.m. I guess we'll play with horses for a few hours to keep him awake and keep his mind off of things. We'll have to leave home around 6:30 in order to stop and get breakfast and check in at the hospital at 9:30. The hard part is going to be keeping him awake for the drive! His test is at 10:00 and his appt. with the neurologist is at 11:45. I'll try my best to update everyone after we get back home and I get a little shut eye. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we make the trip. I'm worried still about the attempt to induce another seizure to monitor his brain waves. I know he has to be scared and that worries me as well. Have a good night!
-
2 pointsWe got home around 8:15 after an ice team stop. We laid down and Emory has been asleep since a little after 8:30. Time for us all to get a little rest. Good night boys and girls!!!

2 pointsIt's odd that that when you asked us to make him smile that Cindy and I were mere blocks away from the Packer pro shop at Lambeau that day on other business and we could swing in and pick him something up. I personally am taking that as God's will in looking over us. Sides nice to know there are Packer fans out there other than the @squonk. We hope he enjoys our meager trinkets. It is truly sad that a man of his age should have to go through such things as this and we will continue to pray. BTW to heck with the BS I hear tell you guys might be attending a show here in WI in July?? Might be a good time to run him up to Title Town for a field tour? My offer to a real game still stands as well ..... We'll see.
-
2 pointsIt always hurts me to see a child in pain, and I am truly sorry for his predicament. Hopefully, this last procedure will help Scottie. As far as the big show is concerned, it would be great if he is well enough to attend, but if not, there is always next year. Once he is beyond the urological problems, the rest of the body will heal quickly at his age. You, Scottie and all your family are in my thoughts every day.

2 pointsYeah this one definitely has potential to be pretty wicked. Looks like we'll be putting the snowblowers to test along with the plows. One of the big challenges here in Maine is that there's only about 50 air miles between the warm ocean air and the higher elevation mountains. I was looking at some of the reports earlier today and this storm is going to be too close to call almost right up until it is on top of us. Seems pretty sure we're going to get at least 8 to 12 inches... but if it goes as little as 50 miles out to sea we could get buried with closer to a foot and a half. That 30 inch possibility is about 2 hours north of us up in the bigger mountains. Which by the way, is where we want to move!
-
2 pointsEric, on the evening news they were saying you may be getting 30" of snow Sunday/Monday, best strategy may be to hop on a flight to Florida for a few days. The pile left by the snow plow will be about six feet.
-
2 pointsBest keep an eye on that fella masquerading as @WHX21 I've read talk around here that he's really WHX23
-
2 pointsYou ought to see my garage . It's like playing chess in there with the pickup along with all my other crap !
-
2 pointsTunahead- I left the cabin already due to the impending storm and work, so I will have to wait until next time to read the dipstick. I will revisit this trail once I get that done, could be a couple weeks as I’m not sure when I head back. FYI- had about a foot of snow last night, and the big storm is coming tonight, could be 6 feet on the tops, so revisiting an old subject, yup, we get snow!

2 pointsWhat is the temperature? What oil is in the transmission? The hydros do resist pushing and cold temperatures together with thick oil makes it next to impossible. It would be best if you don't force the tractor to move.
-
2 pointsYour Sundstrand trans is model 3100077...like a 1276 or charger 12. Linkages are the same too. There is a tension adjustment for these..under the tunnel cover (2nd pic). Try the adjustment 1st and check the up/down motion of the NYLON plate...it should NOT be sloppy in the channel. CHECK THIS too... may be a broken tab on the shaft as in the last pic.

2 pointsHere's another option for you..

2 pointsHope all goes well - he's already proven himself as a tough kid and will probably take it in stride like everything else. Hope they get some answers for you folks - we'll be thinking about you. Sarge

2 pointsGiven the numbering system that used at the time the WW-105 must have come out in 1965 (last number being the year). I have never seen them and hadn't seen this list before.
