I am hoping to pick this up Saturday 11/24/18. Will be a fun little project. Know it needs a carburetor and I'm sure a few other things. Will know more this weekend. This is all I have as of now. Know we all like pictures...LOL

Brought this one home on the cheep yesterday, I know it's a Series I, but it runs like a top (once it's warm, hoping it's just carb) and I think it will clean up nicely! not sure, but I think that's a 48" deck underneath

Our traditional nine day gun season started last Saturday. Not much luck here in the Northwoods. Lots of does but nothing with antlers. Bucks only up here but have nine doe tags to fill back home in farmland country. We'll fill the freezer then. The view from my stand. A balmy 4 degrees outside! Deer shack sports a fresh coat of paint this year. View out the window. Past years hunts, we have been doing this since great grampa's days. Even the little guys horns get used!

Harbor Freight has the Motorcycle lift on black Friday sale for 279. Good deal I think. I thought I did ok when I got mine for 299. Marv

I was able to get a few pics of the ole girl yesterday. I rode it around a little in Dad’s field. There’s a video link as well and you can hear the trans making a little noise. I’ve since added a little more trans fluid - about 1 1/4 quarts total and hope that helps with the noise some. It does seem to be getting less the more I drive it. It has plenty of power and surprised me how light it is in the front compared to Emory’s suburbans. By the way, I’ve posted a wanted ad for an rj or suburban to fix up for Emory for Christmas. He asked me to redo his work horse, but he has really been wanting an rj or another suburban. I wouldn’t mind driving 5 or 6 hours each way if anybody might have one they’d like to part with.

I just found a snowmobile front end on CL and picked it up just a day ago. After skinning it, I decided not to use the complete axle just the skis. l posted this just hours ago on my tread. Thanks to Eric I found my way over here. My thought is to weld a pipe on the leaf hanger and secure the spindle with a double pin. No tracks on this baby

During plow season nothing. The movement keeps it pretty well polished up. end of season some Wd-40 to keep the shiny metal from rusting. i do put some wd on the top cross pin as i have to pull it out and shift position to scrape a concrete apron.

Saw this ‘beaut this morning in town while I was marking out my snow plow drives... this post was the first thing I thought of, so I grabbed a pic of it.

This is a 1986 K-20, 8600 GVW, 4 Wheel Drive 4 Speed, LT9 350, 4 Barrel with YE9 Silverado Trim Package that I Factory Ordered in March of 86 and took delivery in June 86. This Truck was only used in 3 New England winters since i purchased it new. The original paint had some issues and I had it redone in 2016. The Interior is original other than the installation of a GM Headliner which was replaced due to separation from the foam in 2000. It now has 104,000 miles on the original drive train, clutch included. This Pickup has been an unbelievable, reliable & fun truck, All this for $14,850.00. They sure knew how to build a truck at the Janesville, Wisconsin plant. Thank You for taking time to check this truck out. Jim

That will work Jeff. Just cut the hide off behind the front legs, then make the cut on the top of the neck to the center of the antlers. Cut the back half of the hide here behind the front legs. Then skin the front half by making the slitting cut on the top of the neck. Most of these small bucks I've taken that didn't warrant a shoulder mount were caped out and sold to local taxidermists for use on mounts were the cape had been ruined by neck and head shots and cut throats.

Castle brand muscle grease

Just a reminder. Do not allow any battery voltage to get to the ignition. That will release the magic smoke from the coil. The ignition is self-powered and the single ignition wire just grounds the ignition to shut the engine off. Garry

My brothers 633 Wheel Horse is used one winter for my snowplow tractor!

I use Mobil-1 10-30 synthetic in the two 520-H's that I have left.Hydraulics work pretty quickly when cold.Stored in unheated,un-insulated pole barn.

Title says it all, building up another horse - but trying to make it a little special... so bought these bad boys! 27x10.50-15 BKT skid power HD - hoping I can squeeze them onto a set of GT14 wheels. so I set about making an adapter from 5 stud to 4 stud, but the pcd is close and the holes clash- so it's a little tricky. so had the bright idea of making making my own hubs. Cue big taperlock sprocket! i think it was a lot easier than making the adapters and those taperlock bushes are going nowhere!

I got an old spray bottle with some used motor oil in it.

lubriplate , chain and cable spray, keeps metal alive

I spray mine with the castle pure silicone spray.

Trade it in on a unit with a Sundstrand Their lifts work immediately no matter what the weather. Seriously, I retired the 418A from winter duty got tried of her filling the shop with exhaust fumes waiting for her to decide to lift the blower so I could move her outside. The Charger/electros pick it up immediately so i can pull the out side to warm up.

@RLB to The fluid just needs time to warm up! I have a 520 and it just needs time to warm!

I have 4 tractors with the Eaton 1100 When the temp is low, one takes 10 minutes to lift and the other three lift in 1 minute. All four tractors work fine. I have seen a bulletin from WH stating to prevent damage, the tractors with the Eaton 1100 should be warmed up for 10 minutes before use.

30w unless a long cold spell, then 10w30 always conventional. I'm with TheTool Crib on this subject, "never synthetic". Particularly if you are following a PM (preventative maintenance) schedule. Why spend the extra loot? At Camp Lejeune motor pool we had 30w Texaco, if you preferred we had 30w Texaco, for combat vehicles we used 30w Texaco. On extra night duty we invented Jiffy Lube! We used 30w Texaco! Bring your car and a six pack, oil change, high tech 30w Texaco! With three grandsons, our PM schedule runs double time! Keeps the brats boys busy doing something nice worthwhile. Better than playing Nintendo games, I think.

In a warm climate like Florida a 200 CCA battery will be fine. Smart man!

Getting my new to me 314 Wheel Horse tractor ready for winter duty. All new tires on the tractor. Painted up the muffler and motor tin, putting new foot rest material ( skateboard tape) and placing my 42 inch snowplow on it . Good running tractor with less than 600 hours.

Exactly what I thought when I saw the Picture Jeff. European skull mounts are popular and not as expensive.

I include 2 left and 2 right facing decals. many of the tractors have the logo facing forward on both sides of the hood yet I have also seen a few that have the logo facing left on each side so I include enough decals for my customers to apply them the way they prefer. Give me a call with any concerns about this kit.

High pressure washer may clean it out Eric. Nothing wrong with a little oil from a can...especially one that has a trigger and shoots it. If you want something a little thicker, they make a Red Grease in a spray can. Got it at Farm & Fleet...CRC Red Grease.

I use it in all the pressurized oil system engines, and I have used it in the old Koehler Engine too. No issues. I do know we had switched to synthetic in pump gear boxes at work and they ran a good bit cooler. Transfers the heat better.

What a great truck Jim! You sure ordered a dandy all those years ago and had the foresight to hang on to it. That is a great looking square body and I’m glad you shared the with us!

Here’s to the day! I got a 7 and an 8! The 7 walked in to me 26 minutes after Imsat down in my stand this morning at 7:30 on the dot, the 8 point I called in with 3 short grunts and got him at 4:23 pm. Just got it from retrieving the latter one.
