5 pointsYa this knock off one is 18 1/4 as well. I mean, it should work but I'm guessing a spindle is tweaked, I saw plenty of evidence of rough treatment as far as the steering goes, so no big supprise there. That adjustible one will resolve all of this. I need this back together before summers gone. Lots of project work to do yet. Mine are work horses, no time for garage queens here!

4 pointsFarmer, I have to tell you. In one way or another, I have been around pigs all my life. I can smell a pig farm from 5 miles away...and it is one of my favorite smells. I know they can become pets and it is then hard to put them down. With that in mind, I sympathize with what your are going through. On the other hand...my favorite breakfast is bacon & eggs with peanut & jelly toast and orange juice. My prayers are with those that have befriended the little porketts. You might get a kick out of this. When my brother and I were around 5 or 6, the family would spend a week or two up on my Dad's Cousins farm in Almena, Wisconsin. It was a dairy farm, but they raised pigs also. They had this little pig house with a small opening on the far end into the pen. In the early morning, my brother and I would sneak up on the pig house...and then rush in, screaming and yelling. The little piglets would just scramble and jump all over each other trying to get out of that little hole into the pen. My brother and I would be rolling on the floor with laughter. It was like "Leave It to Beaver"...we would get yelled at and told to knock it off...but now that I look back on it, I think the adults in the room were smiling after yelling at us.

4 pointsBuilt a light bar for my B-80 the other day and got the lights all put on and wired up today. I'll post some pics of how bright they are this evening.
-
3 pointsThese two came at Easter as weaners (6 weeks), never kept pigs before at the farm or in the garden and I have to say, I’m gonna miss ‘em. I know I’ll console myself with a freezer full of meat, but they are fun to have around. Today was setting up the trailer and getting them used to it ready for their date with destiny tomorrow morning.

3 pointsShe's the smartest person ever known. Almost half a dozen degrees and she's spent most of her life with a septic tank. It looks like she poured my whole chicken fryer full of lard and chicken fat into the sink. Looks like I'll be getting the tank pumped before fall. Could be worse. We could have a garbage disposal. 😀😕

-
3 pointsLaugh all you want, but I've been thinking of ways to get it on the trailer. I doubt it would make it to the highway. 😜 You folks are the good kind of fun. 😂
-
3 pointsCan you get to the back of the rim with something like a really long punch? Any pictures you could take to show us where you think they are stuck? Go big or go home. Quarter stick? Sometimes I wish I had guys like you for a neighbor and sometimes I'm glad you live halfway across the country.

3 pointsA co-worker told me he bought the same ultra-sonic tank and loves it. I bought a 1 gallon can with a basket from NAPA and have had good luck with that, but you do need to let it soak for 1-2 days. Not near as strong as the stuff back in the 60's & 70's....(before EPA & OSHA)!

3 pointsThe GT 14 didn't use the 1533 bearing. it had a needle bearing I believe and to make it work thy put a race on teh end of the differential endplates. It "Should " pull off
-
3 pointsHmmm.... I only have one AutoZone in the area and it is not near me so I never go there. That said, I'm quite sure Advance Auto Parts, which I do go by, will match prices. I'll double check that for sure. Thanks Dick.
-
3 pointsJust bought a can of Berryman's at AutoZone for $ 15 plus change. I have used Lacquer Thinner but prefer B.
-
3 pointsI made up a witches brew years ago, acetone, Xylol, Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) and probably Lacquer Thinner don't remember. Worked OK but it evaporated as i didn't have the nice sealable can and basket like Berrymans. Probably even cost more buying a qt of each thing....Why make work for yourself
-
3 pointsWell worth the $20 just for the advice not to mention manuals, info and the friendships.
-
3 pointsI am. Trying to convince my wife that we should raise and slaughter our own pigs. The way I see it, we could raise two pigs for the pric of one going to the slaughter house. She says she wouldn’t be able to process an animal that she raised. We’ll see in time!

3 pointsIt's all me guys. Yesterday I looked at my post (#2) and it was blank. Now my emoticon is back. I'd like to blame it on this new computer but nah, it's got to be me.
-
3 pointsTHAT is why it's awesome. @Chris G don't pay no mind to him. You plant ya butt where ya want... Jim probably has "seat envy"..... Hehehehehe.......
-
3 pointsThanks guys, I really appreciate the comments and advice! This was the first fit of the new hubs on the remachined axles. My pinion carriers arrived today, so I can finally see some of this trans going back together!
-
3 pointsSafe to say it was a PO thing then. Chris.... I once had a 520 come in with a ....never mind. .....did I mention the nice stack?.....
-
3 points@WHX20 the seat is surprisingly comfortable. But here's some pics of the lights working. I got to adjust them still. But it's raining so I'll save that for another day.
-
3 pointsVery useful animals are pigs. You can use every part for something. There's only two things you can't use. The curl in their tail and their squeal. If they could fly, the price of bacon would go up.
-
2 pointsThe receipt lists the part number as #139313 0996 Berryman Chem-Dip Carburetor Cleaner 0.75 Gal. $15.97

2 pointsI love pigs. Especially at breakfast. When I was a kid my uncle had pigs and me and my cousin would go out back and we would throw corn at them. He got the ideal if we took corn cobs and put needles in the end of them and feathers we can make darts. So I made one and threw it at a big Sow and it's stuck her right in the butt. I looked up and here comes my uncle and it's a good thing he walks slow. just as he cleared the barn that dart fell out. Never done that again cuz I knew he would half kill me if he caught me doing that.
-
2 pointsI'll try to remember to take a pic of the piece of chrome pipe I found at the recycling center. No idea what it was in it's useful life. Got weird fluted ends... When I saw it, exhaust stack was the first thing I thought of so I grabbed it.

2 pointsWith two horses (legged versions) at my place I have a regular supply of fertilizer to deal with, until now dealing with it was a tractor-trailer, hand loading/unloading job. Last autumn however, after a long wait searching upay, this spreader appeared. I think I got lucky, had to pick it up from central Wales, around a 5-6 hour round trip but it was worth it. At approximately a third the price of new and in really good condition, I’m a happy bunny. Only had a couple of things to do to it, the bed chain and the ratchet pawl. Here are a few statistics, 27 cu ft capacity or 1/2 ton (wet material) I’m confident that the tractor with handle it, just use a bit of common sense with ground conditions.
-
2 pointsThe 512D is a bit of a strange one, it’s basically a 312-8 with a 8 1/2 hp diesel. Because I own both tractors and have done the same jobs with each of them I can testify that the 512D just shades the 312 (magnum) That 8 1/2 hp Robin feels about 14 hp, great fuel economy but noisy.
-
2 pointsThere's room for all of God's creatures...right next to the toast and jam! From my 4H years with the kids I came to appreciate pigs - they are smarter than a lot of their barnyard friends - especially sheep - which my kids raised for 4H.
