10 pointsBoy, did I miss you guys. Life took me away for a while. I had a couple challenges that kept me busy. Dad passed away and I had to move to Arkansas to be closer to mom. I'm still trying to get all my tractors to the new place. Anyway, I'm back. Hopefully, life will stay boring for a long while.

10 pointsI'd be all for California becoming it's own separate country and then they can regulate all of their own stuff.

8 pointsThis confirms the old saying that California is the land of Fruits and NUTS! Climate change has been in a constant state of flux throughout recorded history, the only thing that has changed is the private intrest money that has been pouring in to promote specific industry agendas. I figure this guy is being supported by the Lithium Ion Battery lobby or the Electric Utilities. When he talks about noise pollution he fails to think about what is spewing from his mouth.

8 pointsSeriously ... this guys on crack...Seriously Either that or he seriously p'ed off his neighbors so much they took the muffs off their leaf blowers and run a 1 to 1 mix just to get him to move. Seriously

7 pointsReplacing old equipment with new stuff creates other kinds of industrial pollution ( I guess since most everything is made in China he thinks it is OK to move that pollution there???)...not to mention the strange stuff generated in the making of Lithium Ion batteries

7 pointsDon’t they already make electrical toys for this guy to play with ? Just saying !
-
7 pointsGot a couple hours in tonight. Probably won't get to work until next week now. The rest of the week is nuts. Emory has a dr appointment at UVA Friday and I'm going to drop by and see @oldredrider while we're up there. Christmas parade Sat. night. Assembled a little - temporarily bolted on the fenders and floorboards. I also fabbed up a set of adjustable tie rods - got less than $25 in the set.

6 pointsPerhaps if we all lined up our 's in a big line along the California border, put our dozer blades down and pushed west in low gear we could help California into the ocean... Just a thought... (a really nice thought...)

6 pointsThat's what happens when you live in a town....rules, rules, rules......I prefer the country - and good or bad, my county doesn't have any zoning rules - no permits to do anything to your property..
-
6 pointsJust to say, in 1981 i was on my way home from Korea, i landed in Oakland on other side of Airport, a Mooney got in my Face with intentions of telling me about soldiers killing women & children & it was lights out for him, Dang Sissys, i pulled my duffle bag up across my body & Double Timed across Airport Like a 520H on Alcohol, Cali Bodys were flying, had Security chasing me in a Golf Cart, never caught me, barely made my Flight to Pittsburgh but i had that overwhelming felling of Victory ! I plowed them Pu%%ys over and laughed all the way Home ! Now i'm Saying Bad words ! Stop Smiling Richard & Jim !

6 pointsSome people have nothing better to do that show how far their head is stuck up their Butt.
-
6 pointsI made a little progress. I prepped and painted the subframe satin black. Once it cures I’ll get it bolted back under the tractor and continue with fabbing the loader.

5 pointsYou may have found some money , all you need is a collector. It could be used for old button type shoes. Check flea bay , that is where my wife check when she drags crap home from Goodwill etc.
-
5 pointsaah good thing there's a whole lot of water between them and me. i bet the guy that wrote that feels really good about himself and is now somewhere in a forrest with his richard up a tree
-
5 pointsReally?!? These people need a job. For how small these engines are I doubt it even leaves a footprint on pollution.

4 pointsI think I have it! It is a bugger picker for those who can't stand the thought of using their finger.
-
4 pointsWe have a winner! Button Shoe Hook. You could also use it on a to stretch springs.
-
4 pointsI don't mind the zoning rules so much . I just hate the home owner association rules. One place I lived had a rule that you could leave your garage door open if it faced the street and you could not have trailers on your property. It did not take me long to tell the Association President where it could stick the rules. Wasn't long after I moved.

4 pointsI picked up a single stage tall chute for my 315-8 a few weeks ago. It's all ready to go aside from the tire chains which are still hanging on the wall. I'm going to look at a cab this weekend. If I come away with that I'll post a new pic. I've never used a blower on a tractor before so I'm sure I have a learning experience ahead of me. The blower is primarily for sidewalks and out thru the yard to get to the wood shed and things like that. My driveway is gravel so I doubt I'll be using this to do it unless it freezes over smooth like it usually does. That's what the Massey is for. I'll eventually put the 5 foot power angle blade on it.

4 pointsStarted using my 520 FEL machine last year to install lights around first floor gutter. Added a removable safety tube. I drive along and the wife hangs them, way better and much quicker than a ladder.

3 pointsBoth get my vote based on a quick image search on the web...Only this one's a fancy folding model... Now, if it was RED, I would have it pegged as a WH combination back scratcher and belt grab tool...NOS Pt Number: WH BKSCRCHRBLT 123.456 (F). The (F) stands for the fancy Folding model...

3 pointsAlways like a new member fro down under! No crime on the 14-38, I have owned one for years. Came with the Mrs when I married her and they were both built to last and worked out pretty well so I kept them both! On the crank end play there should be some movement but not real noticeable. Could be a sign of lower bearing wear but verticals always wear more in that area. The vibration is not a good sign either. That's why good clean oil is a must in vertical shafted engine. Doesn't surprise us we have just about seen it all!

3 pointsI'm in the process of repurposing this old player piano into a computer desk. I just finished making a coat/hat rack out of part of it and another piece of the piano will be used for the front of a hinged top box/bench that will sit under the coat rack.

3 pointsI really don't get how the heck the continue to say the population is somewhat low in Illinois - we have some truly huge herds running around and the number of vehicle strikes just continues to climb . We do need more management resources here badly - budget cuts have certainly hurt that department in a bad way . Sarge

3 pointsSo far he's been really good about not pestering us or asking too many questions. He just keeps reminding me that I need to fix the CG8 for him and telling me all of the things I've done to this one that he wants done to his. Hope this works - less than a month left!

3 pointsGood Eye. that's what I thought also. I recently got this tractor for cheap, it had a good sounding non smoking motor. the frame was folded in the middle, broken at the trans mount, and otherwise all cobbled up by PO. Surprisingly enough the trans is pretty well non leaking, including that filter, and It ran and seemed to drive OK. Rather hard to shut the hood with the bent frame. I had a B80 frame in my parts supply that was not broken and was of similar patina (rust), and so thus began another project. I actually did not need the frame repair plate on this, but I put one on anyway, and painted it flat brown to blend in with the color scheme. Yes, the trans filter gas been replaced

3 pointsI don't know how you're gonna pull this whole thing off... that thing just screams..."Christmas tractor".
-
3 pointsMine is sitting in the garage, ready to go. I just bought a cab for it, hope to get it picked up and mounted in the next few weeks.
-
3 pointsHere's mine. 1961 701 with a 6-2211 snowblower. Just got to put the weights and chains on. Then a 1960 Suburban 400 with a reversible snow blade from a 1948 Wards walk behind tractor. Customized to fit the suburban.

2 pointsJust got back to the " civilized world" after spending 4days with my BIL in his new cabin high atop the Appalachian Mts. No electric or cell phone service. Access by 6X6 Polaris Ranger. Main menu was left over turkey, deer sausage and the latest batch of shine.

2 pointsK = Kohler old style engine (not a Magnum) 34 = Cubic inch displacement ( 16 HP) 1 = single Cylinder A = small oil pan Q = Quiet S = electric start
-
2 pointsHmmm, you dont need my sick thoughts, so id better be good
-
2 pointsEither one will do, Ft/lbs multiplied by 12 equals Inch/pounds. Some have both graduations listed on them.

2 pointsHaving been in the auto parts industry in the past and still forced to deal with them.... I can assure you you're WAY better off to try as much as possible to buy from actual Small Engine shops or online vendors such as we support at Redsquare. Most parts store chains Can't Accurately look up small engine things, if at all.

2 pointsPretty good haul - those older Ford GT's were pretty well built and that old Case just screams classic all over it . I was always a fan of them but no one around here would ever turn loose of one due to their cost and they rarely ever broke down as well . An AMX drag car - now that's something you don't see every day , at the track or elsewhere for that matter... Sarge

2 pointsTry building some of these traps. No need to check them on a daily basis. I use coolant in the pail so it won't freeze & it also preserves the mice so that they don't smell bad. Make sure that the can spins freely & rub some peanut butter on it for bait. I have very good luck with these.

2 pointsAlky Hal attracts moisture hence the H2O. OK things Fixed with Sea Foam: B-i-l had a car he just bought. Wanted me to check it over for brakes steering ect. I drive it and the engine knocks bad. I call him and tell him that it sound like you got a bad engine. He picks it up and adds a can of Sea foam to the oil. "you can't spoil a rotten egg" Knock disappears and he drives it 2 years. I had a 94 Chevy PU with 120,000 on it and a lifter tick when warm. I'm working at Napa and the Sea Foam rep comes in and gives me a can to try. He says add half a can to the oil. I do and drive 5 miles home for lunch. Tick is gone and stays gone for another 60,000. Delivery van's door hinges are stiff and I'm tired of fighting with them.We try Thrust, WD 40, Liquid wrench ect. nothing helps. I try SF Deep Creep and now the doors hit me in the butt cause they won't stay open. Weedeater won't rev up. I call my OPE guy because I hate tiny carbs. He says add a little SF to it first before you bring it in. I add a couple of tablespoons and WROOOM! Wife's van is pinging like crazy. Add a can to the gas and no more ping. Impact wrench is down on power. I add some air tool oil and no change. Squirt some SF in it and it's like new again. My 520 hunted and surged at idle when I got it. Added a good dose of SF to the tank and add some every time I fill it. Surging has been lessened to the point where it only happens once every five times I idle it. I'll have to think about some more.
