    Dad just left Miller Tire a couple of hours ago on his way home from the latest Missions trip. It is convenient that dad travels through OH on a regular basis. He was able to save about $75 in Shipping costs because picking up his tires while traveling through. I think they are really cool looking and can’t wait to see them on the tractor! They look just like miniature tractor tires. If you can’t read it, the size dad chose was the 7.60-15 implement tire. Given the size and look if the front tires that Tom installed, I think this is going to be a home run. Once those are installed, then we need to work on getting the PP-10HD set up for his rig and then try it out in my garden. More to come...

    I see Wheel Horse offered a 3 bar deck leveller as an upgrade for 42" and 48" decks with bagger attached. I am too cheap to buy one so I made it. I cut a bar from an old worn out leveller then welded up and filed the wear points. This is a standard 2 bar leveller. This is the leveller with the third bar just sitting loose. I have not installed mine yet. I guess time will tell whether this was a useful upgrade or not. Cleat

    The model 854 has been on my wanted lost for a long time! Whenever one comes up for sale it’s either a zillion miles away, beat beyond reasonable repair or overpriced (in my opinion anyway). So when @stevebo calls to say he has a nice 854 for sale AND he is giving me first refusal how could I say no! I have dropped over $7500 on a couple home projects in the last 30 days so my slush funds were hurting, but Steve gave me a week to make my decision. Of course I bought it and my wife and I rode out to Steves today for it. This one has had a couple previous Connecticut owners (we love to buy and sell among ourselves 😁) Pics of course....

    Getting my mess of a d160 rebuilt and found the source of play in my steering. This may also explain the oddball rim. Bottom race. Or is it races now? -----------------------If you don't like modded OEM parts go no further, there be carnage ahead!---------------------------------------- So I went on a hunt for a replacement. Wow those are expensive. No standard bearings even close. Turns out 3/4 x 1-3/8 x 1/2 wheel bearings fit perfect because of their flange. Well almost. The ID is a little off. Adjustment needed. I already ground the lip off. I believe the lips were to hold the bearings for assembly. The flange of the bearing sits nicely in the adjustment cup. Looking down into the cup with bearing in it. Flange side down. Worm alignment with sealed bearing in cup on left. Same as new. The cotter pin hole doesn't line up but there is enough room to drill a new one. End view with bearing installed. To install both top and bottom bearings you have to grind or turn a good portion of the shaft and the lip on the other side. It's only .030 so not to bad. Both bearings installed. Fit nicely against the shoulder of the race on the worm. Worm alignment with both bearings installed. Old outer races removed. tightened snug. Still has full travel and is more centered. No way to install cotter pin. but my alignment cup was so tight it will not come loose. I'm lucky I got it out. End cap with both bearings installed. Hi-tech cap removal tool one ground down wood bit. The sealed bearings sit up against the shoulder of the race and the bearing flanges face away from the worm. The flange may need adjusting depending on who made it. There is no inner seal so it can be greased like usual. I'm not sure how they will hold up to thrust loads but for 6 bucks I'll risk it. I didn't grind near the original races at all so it can be put back to original if need be, minus some metal anyway. Welp, back to painting parts.......

    I don't know what has happened to me, but my latest thing is black hoods. If you only drove the c125 I bought from @oldredrider you'd understand! It's like getting on a brand new tractor. And of course the c165 I'm working on for Emory.

    I think my favorite is my 1972 Commando 800 ( it a roller now but I have some plans for it ) , It was my Dad's and I got when he died in 1991 and it fits my butt.

    I really don't have enough knowledge of all the models but I sure am crazy about my 854's. I really like the body style. 854 6 speed on the left 854 3 speed on the right Custom 12 6 speed.

    Got the muffler guard mount made and installed. Need to make a lower bracket to keep it from vibrating. Also trying to get some electrical components mounted so I can make my wiring harness.

    Added weight on the front would be the first thing I'ld do. I have exactly the same tires as you do on the front. (1) liquid in the tires (Rim-guard is best, anti-freeze, windshield washer . . . ), (2) weight on the tires (like you have on the back ones), (3) weight hanging in front or on the front axle (chains, barbell, . . . ). With the blade down pushing, the front-end is actually very light, you need the extra weight up there for steering control, not on the 'A' frame of the plow but on the tractor but so the wheels are held down on the ground better. Your bar-lugs or chains will greatly reduce side-slippage with the added weight to hold them down. Good Luck & have fun this Winter . . . Glen

    We had a full sized beech tree begin to bud back in spring, then just stopped, dead. No worries about the tree... We live in plenty of forest... but I've been mulling over how to fell it for 5 or 6 months. It was leaning Towards the back lawn and septic system... Bad place to drop a tree. Well this last tropical storm took care of it for us. Here in Maine we get a lot of bad storms that are Nor'eastah's as we say so the trees grow to withstand them. This one came in VERY strong from the southeast and took down A LOT of trees. Massive power outages across much of New England From the downed trees. That tree? Blew Exactly where we needed it !! Off the lawn and away from the house. Good ole mother nature.

    So I have a Kioti CK20 I leave in WV for my dad to plow the 1/4 mile long dirt/stone driveway ,he has been using a rear 3pt mounted blade but in January the 30" didn't push/pull well or scoop easily either so figured a front mounted plow may work better for him since he doesn't turn around very good to see what's going on behind him, I picked up a Power King Economy 54" front plow blade and modified it to fit/work on the Kioti without removing the loader then using a Harbor Freight ATV winch to raise and lower it while still maintaining the hydraulics for the loader and rear 3pt, Jeff.

    My C125 is my go-to tractor, but my favorite out of all the ones I own would have to be my C141. My elderly friend who first introduced me to Wheel Horse tractors bought it brand new, traded it to another friend of his, and then all these years later I ended up with it, so it will always be special and my favorite due to the story behind it. It's quite the ugly little machine now, but someday it will get a full restoration and love the rest of it's years in peaceful retirement

    For now I must wait to receive the electric fuel pump, until then I can not continue, I will keep you informed, the bad thing is that I do not have the 702 in the place where I live. Really, thank you very much for your advice and solutions, thank you!

As near as I can tell he's only about 8 hours away from you, he could be at your front door by dinnertime today. So @elcamino/wheelhorse, how's the weather down there?

    Strip the wire about 3/4" Spray silicone into the plug boot and on the last few inches of the wire. Slide the boot on and then fold the bare wire over and crimp on the plug terminal. Then pull the wire so the plug terminal slides into the boot. I use a phillips screwdriver to line up the terminal and seat it into the " 90" of the boot.

    Finally! For years! I hoped to find a mid-mount grader blade without having to pay $300 AND drive all day! $130 and less than an hour round trip I have one in pretty good shape! Happy day! It's different than what I expected though. Frame is more like a cut off dozer blade. I'll add a picture if can figure out how O my phone. #711219 escapes me. Garry! I need you! Rear mount at the axle. Angle control looks odd. No means from the seat. Crap. Don't know how to add pictures from this phone. Craig will harass me I suppose... When I get to my computer Craig!

    I won't claim a favorite, cause it's like was said above; maybe it's whichever I am after/want, currently. I have a short list of favoriteS though, that I'd like to own: GT-14 and any BlackHood (think these ARE a favorite, styling-wise); 953, and the C-160. You could add any D series...but...with all I've read/heard of them....I dunno if I'd ever actually want to OWN one, though I love the idea/looks of them. I think it'd be beyond me to maintain, but who knows. My Dad, more or less, believes there is nothing that can't be done with the standard Kohler 12hp tractor...and anything that needs more than that, well, they don't have "wheel Horse" decals on them; aren't any garden tractor. He owns an IH 2000 that he restored, with FEL and 3-point, for those types of chores. He may be right...Lord knows I've seen him do things with those 10 and 12hp WH's that I wouldn't have thought possible.... But where is the fun in only 1 tractor, I ask you? Side note: I do currently have only 1, my '92 312-8 that he recently gave me---it'll be the last tractor i'll ever sell, if that says anything definite

    This is a picture of RJHammer's horse...he put the "stops" on the top and the bottom to funnel the slack toward the engine pulley. This is on a horse with the engine near the seat, but the whole thing works the same as for your 702. You will find that you will be able to shift if you do this.

    Red: I run Ag's in the front, filled and wheel weights. Better steering than turf tires.

    As Paul said, the majority of our snow falls when the temperature is only a couple of degrees below freezing and once plowed the driveway (paved) will melt off and dry once the sun gets to it. I have found that the tri ribs work best.

    Well done Mike. Looks great. And who cares where it comes from, it is the tractor that counts. My I have to agree with you on Photobucket. My opinion is this site is the worst. It takes for ever to do anything I took all my picks out of it. Enjoy the tractor. And may be get it dirty?

    Well I have tile coming this week so the bathroom saga continues 💰💰💰. When I get that finished, IF the boss doesn't find anything else for me, I might get some more play time. That is the see through side. Saves me from having to put a fuel gauge in it.

    It's been almost a year since I posted this and dad nor I ever really used it to push any snow, just didn't get enough of the white stuff last year, so with that being said I really wanted to go all hydraulic for this machine and patience has prevailed I finally found what I really wanted locally and at real good price $400 for a John Deere model 390 going for over $1500 on right now(don't go all fussy it ain't green ) full hydraulic front dozer blade that I'm going make fit and function on this little orange beast, keep a watch for more pics as get this installed and functioning, Jeff.

    Also today I thought I would try my pattern on some plywood for my fuel tank before I have the aluminum cut. Looks like it will work just fine.

    Axle and spindles were a little on the worn side. Reamed out the axle to just under 1" and installed 7/8" id x 1" od brass bushings. Waiting for a 7/8" reamer to finish this up. Should take out all my slop.

    Just a thought, how about reversing the direction (swapped left to right) of the AGs on the front as they are not driven that may help more for steering traction ...Jeff.

    I'm setting here warm, comfortable and confident. My best guess is that the blower was blocked by setting for so long and that I must have freed it up bench testing it. I researched it to death, tested about everything and begged for help here. I really don't think there was hardly anything else wrong with it except it seems it blew a fuse after I checked it or my memory failed. (happens more often...) As usual, thanks for all the great tips and help! Great collection of helpful knowledgeable crew here! Now if can convert my man cave getaway from 3 season to 4 season! But perhaps another thread! Thanks guys!

    Ron - I will let you know on the screen once I get it apart to see what the GT14 one looks like. Would also be interested in a B/C style parking brake pawl if you have one. Not a good weekend for doing anything outside, but the rain did stop long enough yesterday to get the GT14 out to try the new valves. It works better but still not sure it is 100%. It had no problem backing up the hill it couldn't back up before, although it still didn't seem like it was as fast in reverse as it should be. I noticed a few times after a directional change it would start to move slowly and then after a second it would fully kick in. It also still "groans" when going downhill and the pump/motor are trying to slow the tractor down. My Bronco doesn't do that, nor did it seem like the Charger did, or at least they aren't nearly as noticeable. Curious if anybody has any experience with that. I also noticed a "click-click-click-click..." coming from the rear end when I push around in the garage. It's more than just a noise, the transmission vibrates with each click. I haven't noticed it when driving the tractor, just when pushing it. I jacked it up and it does it when manually spinning the rear wheels. I wonder if it is something related to the limited slip diff? I was reluctant to start the next phase of work on the GT14 last night (I have a bad history with working on Horses on stormy Sunday's in November) but thankfully today it looks like we aren't going to get any bad stuff. I started taking it apart to fix the brake pawl and inspect the inside of the tranny. After I got the RH fender off I noticed the dual fan setup on the pump. It looks kind of hokey, but the parts book does show them stacked like that, so I guess it was made like that. Taking the belt guard off also revealed a secret, there is no tensioner pulley! The belt just runs direct from the engine to the pump and the tension is what it is. I didn't hear any belt squealing or see any smoke, so it seems like it worked OK, but it won't be going back together like that. We'll see what surprises are in store as the work continues.

    I Well, after sleeping for 3 hours after getting back from an overnight camp out with a couple of other dads and their son, I finally got a little more done on Emory's tractor. I managed to clean the dash tower and frame rails, knock a few dents out of the hood to mount and adjust it, and reassemble the sheet metal for a dry fit. I also cleaned the engine a little and ordered a set of custom decals from @Vinylguy. Emory asked if he could sand "my" tierods and of course I said yes!
