Enjoy today! Whatever you do (or did) for a living - I hope today provides time to appreciate all the benefits a life of honest labor affords us...

Well, I've been working the ole girls a little. Mower the yard with the ranger and found out mowing the yard really can be fun! Trimmed the bushes in front of the house and hauled off the brush with the c-125. Made a day of work more enjoyable! Emory even had to try out the ranger.

I bathed the red team today and to make sure I'll have very little snow removal this winter I put the blower on. If I want to wear shorts in January, I'll put the chains on.

I was working at my friend's new to his business building today and we saw wild turkeys crossing Market Street in West York!

Well, it was late before I had a chance to get to our horses. Emory wanted to drive the c-125. His legs aren't quite long enough yet, but I let him ride in the flat in one of our fields. He did well and had a ball! He's driven it a lot more than I have. I've got to say it is one of the best running and sounding kohlers I have. With the Nelson muffler it just sounds plain mean. Here are a few pics. Please overlook the quality - it was late, getting dark, and I wasn't too steady!

That's discrimination to let one horse have a beer and not the other. Or, is that other horse on the wagon?

We fought pretty hard to get this day - never forget those before us that died trying to get the rights we have now - and never let the powers that be erode those rights . The Working Class is under serious attack from big business that wants us to earn 3rd world wages and further erode the Middle Class - pay attention to their agenda and fight back because this stuff affects all of us one way or another . Florida native, Molly Hatchet founding member and lead guitarist. I even named a dog Molly back in the day. R.I.P. Dave Hlubek. Edit: A "new" Steely Dan Gaucho outtake album. A little rough in places but still pure Steely Dan. R.I.P. Walter Becker. Edit 2: Music for mild PTSD therapy? (Like hurricanes), Who knows... There are worse choices than Steely Dan and Little Feat for inducing alpha brain waves via music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf8VP8t5nu4

It may be tough to make out but I added a belt support between the bottom idler pulley and the rear drive pulley to help reduce droop or slack when clutch is depressed. Then fabricated and installed the rear discs for the eventual turning brake set up.

Thanks guys!!! Driving horses is doing more than anything else for his hand - he does it without even thinking about it!!

A few years ago we had a flock of wild turkeys living in the woods next to McDonald's and they would come over to the drive through to get handouts a few times a day - - - - they loved the biscuits! After a bunch of chicks hatched and were wondering through the parking lot the wildlife people came and relocated them to a National Forest. The manager of the McDonald's loved having them there, they attracted lots of business.

Driving it like he stole it ... I like that last shot with Emory's right hand on that steering wheel . I'm not seeing his left ! Keep up the good work Emory !

I picked up my second 520 awhile back from @DeterminingFactor that had no spark. Changed out the 9 pin connector from @rmaynard as the red wire was already routed around the 9 pin. Found the coil was bad and replaced. Motor runs good and now on to the next step. PO said hydro was leaking I think I found the problem so tomorrow I will open up the hydro and replace all seals and gaskets. Plan on wet sanding all the tins and repaint, new decals will need to be ordered. Now if I could only convince @ACman to release the rights to the wheel a matic decals, other wise it may end up being the patriotic series decals. This one may take a while as still working 10hr days and Saturdays. I'll try to post as much as I can. Also picked up an Ark loader for it. Need to build subframe, new hoses and modify a few other things

Anyone know where I can find a snow plow or blower for my 1045?

If a person tells me the price is too high without seeing it first hand I just tell them good by and hang up. As for the no show, I always tell potential buyers I will accept the first cash in hand buyer and if they can't come now I have no intention of holding it for them unless they want to make a Paypal payment sight unseen.

Welcome to our world Javlin, just please don't judge an Indian by the color of his feathers if you get my drift. That's been done in our history before. Just let it go, chalk it up to experience, don't let it rattle you and move on with your sale/search and hopefully get to deal with good folk. Ther has been more than one good piece of advice from the fellas here on dealing with CL crazies BTW next time some idiot tells you you don't know squat about tell him that may well be but you got bros that do!

With the hi-low trans, what gear do you normally pull in? Only reason I ask is I may give it a try with the C-120 I have. We have a local garden tractor pulling club and one of the guys that helps run it invited me out to a local pull. I'll do the stock pull class for fun. I think there is one other wheel horse that pulls. May give it a go.

Buy new set screws (with the square head). They are about $1 each for high quality ones. Do not reuse the old ones. Do not forget to put never seize on the key and keyway too

Yet another one to follow us home. 312H with only 456 hours, 50" belly blade, belly mount cultivator set, 42" side discharge deck, and snowblower. Great condition. Makes it well worth the 460 mile round trip to get it.

Don't , ding, ding we have a winner!!! I just got home. We're worn out, but had a great day! I picked up a 68 lawn ranger that will be put to work mowing our yard and a C125. I'm tickled with both and they run great!!! Below are a couple pics I made when we picked them up. Planning on visiting again in December to pick up a few more parts while we are in town for a dr appt. @oldredrider and I have nicknamed the black hood Coyote Ugly since it's so ugly that I just can't help think she looks pretty good!

Two of my 5xi have come from JD dealers for very good prices. It seems they don't like to have the red "ripe" tractors around the green "un-ripened" equipment.

Well, I've been waiting for a while to take a little trip up the road. Going to see my friend @oldredrider in the morning. Wish I had time to go on up and see @limited12, but it will have to be a quick day trip! Gonna pick up a couple of new toys! What better way to start a long weekend than with a horse rustling trip!! I'll post some pics of my haul later tomorrow! Good night, time for a little shut-eye!

I got one 854 drivable so the grandkids could ride. Carburetor was broke on one half of the mounting flange and the treads had pulled loose on the exhaust.

I took mine all apart and cleaned thoroughly. Then lightly scuffed the heavy rust off with a few different scotch brite pads. Only scrubbed enough to remove heavy rust and debris. Then freshened up and replaced what was needed. Ended with a couple coats of Eastwood patina preserver and one coat of gloss clear to give it a little more of a shine. Here's a before and after.

Nice find! A 244-H may be a lawn tractor, but it's still built to last. Far better than the modern stuff you find at the big box stores. Searching the "competition" sometimes turns up good deals -- they often want to move things that aren't "their" brand. I found a good deal on a Subaru for my daughter, sitting on a Chevy lot because of that. The local Subaru dealer's price on the same model, same year, with similar mileage was around 3K to 5K more. The Chevy dealer had taken it in trade and just wanted the Japanese car gone off the lot.
