8 pointsThese are two barn finds from a friend. A 68 Super 12 and a 70 Suburban 12. I went thru the fuel systems and did a quick clean up to get them running. I tentatively have one sold already and still trying to sell the 70. I'd keep the 68 but again no room. I also got a 2135 Cub Cadet that needs a deck and tires otherwise pretty nice shape. All were under roof the whole time.

7 pointsWhen was the last time anyone has seen one of these? I thought Ive seen them all but I am sadly mistaken. Looks like the size of a Cub or maybe an Allis C and made by Minneapolis-Moline. Its on CL in Concorde,Ohio. Another classic from a bygone era. I hope it finds a good home as it looks to be in excellent condition according to the other pics and ad.

7 pointsI got a little lucky today and bought five K-90 motors plus a bunch of parts. one even runs two are complete and three are missing little stuff. All for every day low low price of 75.00 Happy Hunting everybody. Tim

6 pointsI have a 418-A and I live 3 miles North of Boston so it wears a snowblower year round. its a beast! all the power I need, and the fluid hydro drive is simple. hopping on it is like puttin on your most comfortable boots. Cast iron 50 LB's in the rear, and a newer model single stage tall chute that gets a nice rooster tail of snow flying 35 feet away.

5 pointsCarb kits are easy to find and not expensive. Most kits have a replacement float valve/seat and new gaskets. Clean everything else. They do not come with a mounting gasket. Best to buy one as any air leak will effect the carb operation.

5 pointsI finally decided to take the next step to get the primer off and it is coming out great.

4 pointsFinally got a chance to cut up the "organ donor " for skittles. Got the foot control assembly out in one piece and almost have the power steering ready to come out. Removed the front cast iron grille in preparation for the heart transplant. Also got a complete transaxle on the way to snag the axles out of for the eaton 1100. Everything is falling into place. Fingers crossed 🤞

4 pointsIf you jumped the solenoid (big wire to big wire) and it did not spark then a cable or the starter may be your problem. Go ahead and run one jumper from the battery"-" to the starter body and jump directly from the battery "+" to the starter post. if it turns over you have a bad cable, if not your starter is likely the problem.
-
4 pointsLike 953nut says, CLEAN all connections before ordering parts, but you can use a jumper to bypass the solenoid to check it out..

4 pointsIf I had stock or kickbacks I'd still be there. I just remember everything we carried and how to get quick answers for people looking for items. I used to have hundreds of account#'s , phone #'s and part #'s in my head. Still have a lot of filter #'s in my head but most everything else is gone as you well know by dealing with me.

3 pointsThe green Is just a protective coating till it gets painted red. 👍 The donor was a 2005 gx345. I had mowed with it till the deck got bent and I started using the 418-a to mow with. Everything on it cost over $100 to repair so it became an organ donor.

3 pointsI picked up the rear idler pulley and made a bracket. As it turns out no modifications are needed to the tool box after all. I will have to modify the pto mounting bracket to get all the pulleys lined up correctly. Getting close to ordering belts, making belt guards and trying things out.

3 pointsNot real familiar with the "newer" tractors but to me safety switches can be the cause.

3 pointsWith any electrical problem the first thing that needs to be done is have the battery load tested at your favorite auto parts store and clean and tighten ALL electrical connections including grounds. replacing parts prior to doing this will generally result in wasted time and money.
-
3 pointsYou can cut the cables to the desired length. Measure twice, cut once!

2 pointsA carb that is in tune is a beautiful thing. The carb on the raider 10 is now at the very edge of not running the tractor. it will start with the assistance of a squirt of carb cleaner and run if it is choked a bit less than full choke. The choke control on this tractor has a series of click detents and the one that works is about three from full choke. It does run well once it starts and the choke setting is dialed in. My questions ;; Is there a cleaning procedure in print or video available? Is there a parts kit that any of you recommend for this carb? Is there any evaluation of the fuel pump that one should do, or is just cranking the engine to see some fuel pump out of the line sufficient? Thanks for your time in helping out in this endeavor.. I am not a total newbie to carb work as i have cleaned out some really nasty motorcycle carbs with good results

2 pointsWho would be the holy man , I may need to speak to him. Don't tell me it is Steve on a stick.

2 pointsWhen you get it running pay close attention to any weird behaviors. You may new to call on a Wheel horse holy man to Excercise it:-) Reminds me of:

2 pointsI'm not familiar with the 310 but if your tank is above the carburetor it will run by gravity feed.

2 pointsThis product from Eastwood is about as tough as anything in a rattle can. Be sure to follow the instructions. Not a very manly thing to do, but the instructions are important on this. http://www.eastwood.com/ew-extreme-chassis-black-satin-aerosol-14-oz.html

2 pointsThis is looking an awful lot like a Rat Rod build that was on here some years ago. It had a blown engine and a high stick shift inspired by Daddy Roth. Oh yeah!
-
2 pointsThanks for the input guys! Found this thread (in a google search off all things) while searching for the insert bearings. Link here for mine and others reference. Thanks @rmaynard will be following your instructions, and @dclarke crib notes to the t! What might be the thoughts on using a gear lube ..say 80/90 instead of 30 weight?
-
2 pointsGasoline with ethanol that sits for any amount of time, will cause the metal parts of the sediment bowl/shut-off valve, fuel pump, and carburetor to corrode. In your case where everything is running okay, I'd replace the bowl/valve with a new one or remove it altogether and add a new shut-off valve and in-line fuel filter.

2 pointsYou can also use wheel spacers behind the rim if the off set brings the tire too close to the body.
-
2 pointsAs to my post in 2012 I am rethinking this as I still think a 607 is very hard to come by. It took me 3 years or better just to find one. I have not seen many posts on this model. Just my Enjoy what ever you have.

2 pointsThere have been quite a few threads on here about making a sub-frame to mount a FEL, here is one you can take a look at. No mater what brand loader you are working with the process is about the same.

2 pointsI can fully attest to that!! This wheelie is from moving the throttle from idle to wide open, no need to dump the clutch to get the front end in the air. 6.5 predator with a lil work done to it.

1 pointThe $30 eBay replacements work just fine(I know just put one on dad's CC last summer after couldn't get the original cured after 3 soaking and kits) just be sure to watch for the correct linkages for choke and throttle, BTW if you go up 1 size on the carb you'll gain a little extra HP (1 carb is 7-8hp next is 10-12hp and then 14-16hp) which is a good thing and most overhaul kits are $10 on average, Jeff.
-
1 pointNot nearly enough room to gear down to 540 pto rpm - that would require a very small engine pulley and a huge pto shaft pulley . Only possible way is a gear reduction box , which is one expensive venture for sure . Sarge

1 pointGet a cowbell. And a big hardwood drumstick....... You become a cowbell virtuoso. Every rock band needs more cowbell.

1 pointAnd thank you for becoming a supporter. I love to read the posts and get all the information from all the experts here. everyone has a problem at sometime or another and I can read how there fixed. That's how I've learned so much about wheelhorse's. I never knew nothing about the wheel horse until 2 years ago when I bought my first one. I Love working on something I can fix. with out the supporters here there wouldn't be a RedSquare.
