This year was a different experience for me. Having been to the WHCC show each year since 2010 as a "displayer" and an observer, this year I was set up in one of the buildings as a "seller". It was my intention to clear out all my extra parts, tractors, and accessories, as well a sell my Brake Linings, 9-Pin Connector Kit, and Lug Nut Conversion Kits. Among other things, my major sales included the following: Suburban 401 Suburban 551 1969 WorkHorse 700 1967 607 One half of an RJ-58 4 Engines 32" Snowblower 2 42" mid-frame snow plows 2- bathtub carts 48" mower deck RJ deck and several other 1960's decks and parts too numerous to mention. Thanks to one and all, including all the RedSquare members who stopped by to see me. I had a great time, made a little bit of pocket money, and went back home in one trip rather than the two it took to get there. Special thanks to @wheelhorseman Lowell, and @Vinylguy Terry and their families for being my helpers. Any time that I needed coffee or food or ice or someone to just watch the booth while I had to make a nature call, they were happy to help. I'm counting down the days until next year.

Well, it's 1:06 and everyone is busy loading up, but it has been a great show! Only our second year, but we've met so many new friends and visited with many old ones. This is truly a family event where everyone treats you and your kids right! We even got to meet Michael Martino and get a signed copy of his book. Below are a few pics I snapped today. Enjoy!

Few people knew...at the same time as our Biglerville show... on the opposite side of Gettysburgh was the big AMOA AMC show/convention...just sharing a few picts here for anyone who cares to look. BTW, the AMC Nationals are being held next weekend in Kenosha Wisconsin if anyone is interested. Interesting side note, hardly anyone in the AMC circles knows anything about the AMC/Wheel-Horse connection... but curiously, I did see someone at the show riding around on an anniversary model ...next years feature tractor. Couple walk-around videos here... ...seems my hand isn't as steady as it used to be.

Well I had my family pick up a 1045 for me up in New York a few months ago and I just finally got to see it in person. My parents came down with a trailer load of stuff for me including the 1045 and the 1 bottom plow I bought from sqounk.. and another yellow and white tractor and wagon.... 1045 runs great but needs work as steering is very stiff, and that makes it jump teeth. Also lift cable doesn't lift rear hitch...

Hi everyone just bought my first wheel horse tractor today. And I think I'm hooked already. I bought a 520h with 48" sd deck and 48" push blade. Also has the hitch on rear already. I'm excited to try it out tomorrow on the yard.

I had a great time at the show this past weekend, even with the rain! It's about a 6 hour drive from Raleigh, NC, but it is one of my favorite drives! I also really enjoy the scenery around the fairgrounds and took several trips out and about just to take some pictures and look at the old barns. I almost didn't come but my wife, who is 7.5 months pregnant, said "James, the big show has been on the calender for the past 6 months, you can start being an adult next month, go to the freaking show, and quit making up excuses for why you shouldn't." I'm so glad I listened! A big thanks to John, Paul, and Jay for letting me mooch some shade under their tents! One thing that resonated with me this year was that the show is more about the people than the tractors. The first time I went to the show a few years ago (I confess) it was 90% about the tractors, 10% about the people. This was my 3rd trip. It was 50% percent about the people, 25% about the tractors, and 25% about the pie. Y'all, the pie game was on point this year. As far as the tractors go, I noticed myself being drawn towards the short frames. Howard's 857 was especially tempting! I hope y'all don't mind the pictures of the scenery! The trip up on Thursday: Tractors that caught my eye at the show: Very tempting Howard! My view of the Parade! After the ice cream social, the rain came down, but that didn't discourage some from riding on their horses! Scenery Pictures from Saturday Headed out around 5:45am from the camp ground. Here are some shots from the ride home.

I have been trained to have a keen eye of my surroundings and when it was noticed that a blonde haired woman was taking a lot of pictures in my direction during the parade I thought ...... well I am registered with the Bureau of Homeland Security (in a good way folks ... a good way!) so she must have interest in what is going on here at the Wheel Horse Show. So I figured you might just want the full history of the Wheel Horse Show and I hope I delivered. You took some great pictures that captured the feelings of the families going through the parade and attending the Wheel Horse Show ........ just look at all the smiles ! Quick story for you and Craig .... on the way home we stopped in Gettysburg for dinner and some folks parked a pick up truck towing a AMC Javelin on a trailer near my truck and trailer full of Wheel Horses . When they got out they started to check out the Wheel Horses ..... and then the guy boasted out to me "Ya' know American Motors owned Wheel Horse" ....... I pulled down my eye glasses a little and looked over them and proceeded to tell what year the merger was, what AMC car model (Matador)and Wheel Horse tractor models had the same hood design along with a few other details of the merger ...... he didn't know who he was messing with ! It was nice talking to you. Wild Bill in Richmond, VA

Coffee cup??? Don't you mean his Rock & Rye cup? Somewhere tonight in Biglerville, there is a liquor store owner wondering why his Rock & Rye shelf is still filled.

Traffic and weather slowed our travel time dramatically and unfortunately I missed the beginning of the Tractor Parade to tweet live... I am still very grateful to have been able to tweet the pictures in the link and share all the great people with Wild Bill and the wheel horses on Friday, nonetheless!

A little project I took on over the last week or so. I didn't have a WH blade so I adapted the JD blade I had. 2000 pound winch and 80 pound weight box. Both turned out really well. Super smooth operation.

Finally found some time the last two weekends to reinstall the K301s I had rebuilt a few months ago. Everything hooked back up and tonight after work she went on her "maiden voyage" mowing lawn. Did a great job.

I saw a lot of Steve on a stick during my short visit on Friday , my question is after all the food and drink will Steve on a stick fit in the narrow seat on Ed Kendall's tractor that was at the show?

I don't think my already too big waistline could take it! I would need a Bud Andrews 2 seater! That being said Thanks for the cookie bars Bob and thank Mrs. M too!

Well guys, I honestly think with the weather forecasts they were giving, we made out pretty good! Had a blast and am sticking around Getttysburg until tomorrow. Craig, we're taking in the tavern at Dobbins. One of our favorite places too! Emory is still wearing his WHCC hat Tommy gave him a couple of years ago!

Left the "Big Show" with another early 953 (thanks @A-Z Tractor) and a 418-H parts tractor (thanks @fast88pu) and lots of great friendships rekindled. My return trip was great, hope everyone made it home safely.

Hello, Dells! Thank you! It was great to see you again this year and I enjoyed looking up tillers online to learn more about them and checking out your new tow behind tiller with Emory! Thank you, Jeff! Craig said he had a wonderful conversation with your wife as I was live tweeting picts from the tractor parade- and I am sorry to have missed meeting her! Hope to see you both next year at the Big Show!
