We got alot of snow 20 to 24 inches and i plowed for 8 to 10 hrs with my 1277. I used to b worried about the sundstant rearend but not any more. I never would of believed that my tractor could of pushed so much snow. It worked its but off n had no problems doing it. The only problem I had was a tire chain break on the cross links. I plan on becoming a supporter on here so i can post more pics n show everyone how much power n heart these machines have in them. I also made tire chains for the front tires id like to show everyone but i can never get pics on here it always says there to big. Thats why i want to become a supporter to post pics n I've been helped on here so much i love this forum n would be honored to support such an awesome thing thnx.

Hello well storm is gone and now it my turn to clean it up with my wheel horse. Also with a old man riding his horse.

Man could I have used Mad max today. I drove to Red Lion to clear my MILs property in town. She is coming home from Tampa, Fl. tomorrow.....go figger. I had about 150 feet of sidewalk packed with frozen snow 3-4' deep pushed in there by Penndot plows. Took about 3 hours with a ice chipper, a shovel and a Yard Man Bee Hind blower. Next time I will take Mad Max the ice crusher.

This is a chipper I use to make leaf mulch. Got tired of picking up the mulch off the ground after running through the mighty mac so I added another attachment!

Ok We had some disappointment from some guys because they didn't get a lot of snow. I say HORSE HOCKEY!! You are welcome to come down and take as much as you want for free! Just south of Allentown, PA. 12" of heavy snow. Thought spring was here? What's with all this white wet cold junque? We used a 16 hp Work Horse, was all set up with weighs, chains and a 48" blade. The old Horse performed just great, as always. This is an older video. plow spring was repaired. "Squished" the spring a bit then screwed in the cast end piece.

Thats what I did for 41 years, the best part of storm work was when we turned the power on and everyone cheered. It makes you feel good to help people when they need it. Yes give them a big hand 16 hours on and 8 off in bad weather is hard work and very dangerous, but the end result is worth it.

we had about 7 inches of snow then sleet and rain on top. a tree snapped across the driveway taking the power lines out and snapping a power pole in my backyard. i spent the day watching the lineman work, new pole, redo the lines. Ohio Edison power, shout out to them. in from out of state to help JCP&L. These men worked all day here, couldnt give them a coffee even. Got my respect. John, glad you had some fun you dog you. Just picked up my first tractor purchase here in Tennessee, bought it for my wife to help mow my big yard (has the big 48 inch deck) and just to have as I like the standard shift wide frames! Don't forget I love all garden tractors from the good ole days but heart belongs to the horses!

@squonk When you join the over 65 Club and are able to get seat time when and if you want it. It does not matter if it snows axle deep to a ferriswheel as long as you have heat and light and no Dr appointments who cares. Waldo is here.

I have 23 x 10.50 x 12 tires on 7" rims for the rear. My old front tires were 6.50 x 8, I now have the Dee Stone 4.00 x 8 on the front.

10.50 are as wide as you can go on 7" rims. You will get some rounding up of the tread with a lot of air pressure. I have some 23 10.50 12 Carlisle Turf Masters on 7" rims and keep the air pressure low.

Finally it looked like Winter was going to arrive today! This - after the daffodils and cherry blossoms were already blooming. But, the line moved further North and the sleet and rain took over. We were in the 8-12" forecast range but was actually 4-5" of wet, wet snow and a lot of sleet. I have to admit for this snow storm I wish that I had a steel edge on the plow instead of the UHMW.edge. It had a tendency to "ride over" the ice underneath. I always wait until the county plow comes by before going out to do my neighbors and my driveways. It was nice to have the second cab on the plow tractor considering my other cab never got installed this Winter!. With the 25-30 mph wind blowing I hardly felt the weather while plowing for two hours.

I have the same tractor as you C-160 auto with Elect PTO and have had similar issues. CHECK: 1) blown fuse 2) Key in "on" popsition 3) test clips at PTO wire...it should SNAP when POS and NEG wires are touched at the PTO. If the El PTO doesn't SNAP at all, probably broken wire in coil. It MAY be broken off with just a little bit of wire showing and that can be soldered. CASUTION on removing the PTO. Don't try toi use a puller of any sort. There is a special way to remove it. Use a bolt as shown in these pics and thread into the center of the PTO. That bolt will jam against the crankshaft and force the PTO. There is a thread either on here or on Youtube on how to REWIND the field coil...not too much to it. If you find a PTO on Ebay to fit the 1" crankshaft, the field in it is the same as for yours (for a 1 1/8" crank).

Got some seat time in Litchfield County. They are saying 18-24". This is the third time I hit the driveway today. Did the neighbor's twice

My old crusty 606 that I rescued from a fence row has been puking gear oil all over the place so I decided I'd pull the hubs off and take a look at the seals...... welllll the hubs were already loose!! turns out the gear oil has been seeping between the hub and the axle shaft. All I had to do was back off the bolt on each hub and they slid right off! I never get that lucky!

Got a little seat time in today. We got about 7". Just didn't last long enough.

I hear ya Jim, I also found the blade worked better yesterday on the wet heavy stuff. The new snow we got today and the drifting snow from last night was much drier and colder. The blower work well to clean this up today at my place.

I had my 1267 there 2 years ago. But after my cardiac episode I can't stay out in the cold too long. Plus it's so loud it was rattling the windows. I was doing a little of that. Too my good fortune a room controller died today and I was 3 hrs. working on that. I wish I could have stayed home. If I can't get there by driving a snowmobile would be sent to get me. My wife has had the last 2 days off. The dogs loved that! Those pics were taken as I was walking thru the buildings with a shovel in my hand.

Hey Ed. I know what you mean about the packed snow. I had 9 inches of packed sleet over here with a little freezing rain to hold it together. I really wanted to try my new tall chute snow thrower on my 418A, but the packed sleet kept jamming the chute. Maybe next year when the snow is fluffier. I ended up getting out my old Craftsman 30" walk behind snowblower. It was slow going, but it got it done because it is a 2-stage, and cleared the icy mess out of the chute faster. I'm glad I didn't get rid of it when I got the WH blower. Then I cleaned up with the WH plow on my old 1076. Right tool for the right job. But I'd prefer 18" of light snow over 9" of packed sleet any day. Jim

If the wire is broken very close to the housing, you MAY be able to CAREFULLY solder a repair connection. Once that repair is made, drip some epoxy cement onto it to keep it from wiggling and breaking loose again. Just a thought....

I have finally finished the restoration on my 72 Raider. I want to thank FunEngineer, Vinyl Guy, A-Z Tractor, and most of all, Glen Pettit.

It may get longer. I plan on adding another vac/blower to it so I can pickup leaves that the neighbors take to the curb and blow them into the chipper. Currently I pick the leaves up with two self propelled Billy Goated and set the bags on the chipper table and feed the leaves in. could this be a blown and turbocharged Mighty Mac?

Yes it's long. I have to watch when I move it either direction that I don't swing into things. Im currently running a 10hp Lombardini air cooled diesel. It rolls some "coal" when I load her up.

This storm is really the first major use I have had in three years for my cab-covered C-175/Blower. (Not that I'm complaining)! First off, I was getting hot sitting in there for the 45 minutes to do my drive and a few of the neighbors driveway openings from the plow going by. It really is the Cat's A**! However........I'll need to get a small 12 volt fan to run against the front plexi-panel. I was fogging up a lot. Out on my township road, I wouldn't have seen a semi coming without wiping all the panels down every couple minutes. It was nice to not be covered in snow, have a wet butt and I didn't use hearing protection. (The cab cuts down on the sound quite a lot)! I should have had one on my plow and blowers back when I first started this WH madness. I could get used to staying dry!

The tires are great! The only additional weight added on the tractor are the four suitcase weights on the rear and the weight of the cab that I estimate at about 45 pounds. I haven't put the wheel weights back on since getting the Kenda K502 Terra Tracs, and have never loaded them. Today would have been a good day for chains with the ice underneath but I never lost traction. I am adding pictures I grabbed at my neighbors house that has the steepest driveway. In fact, I had it in Hi range (forgot to switch to Lo!) because of traveling down to that house. Still climbed right up that driveway.

1956 must've been the previous owners birthday. Definitely not the year of that tractor. Looks like a 1961 701 to me but it's been a long time since mine was sold. More pics would help but I bet someone will be along shortly who can ID it from just that pic. yes Ed, they cleared it off the driveway entrance to get the trucks in. but left it on the property, ( i am not complaining ) they also plowed the driveway. they thought it to risky to drive in. I notified insurance co. a real mess here. Glenn

My advice on garage size for everyone infected with the WHA. Calculate the square footage required, double it, and you should have 1/2 of what you will need a year later.

Good to hear you had quick help. Did they also clear the tree from your driveway Glenn? Home owners insurance will pay for downed tree removal on driveways and fence repair.

I put a smaller pulley on my thrower to increase auger RPM by 10%. The side benefit was, I can now change belts w/o tools.

Now that's a serious mulching system. I likey.

I'll show you my tally sometime.. record of times a tractor would not start and after an hour of wringing out wiring circuits, you discover some dummy left the PTO engaged.
