What do you guys think of my raider 8 with my front mower. I took the duals off and put turfs and hubcaps on.

I got my $60 front mower attachment working tonight. I had to make yolks get wheels and even make a mid mule drive. It all works good. I made everything from a picture too.

Welcome to the Machine Thought I would post up some recent modifications to The Machine prior to up coming plow season. After a good season of plowing last year it was time for some upgrades, not because what I had did not work, just wanted try to make it better. So I started with some new Firestone 16-6.5-8 tri ribs, and 23-10.5-12 23 degree bar tires, added an 1054 hy pump, with new seals and spring, welded cylinder rebuild with new hyd lines and lift cable and adjustable tie rods from @wheelhorseman1000. Also ordered up a 12" shear and moleboard from Brinly, and to hold the front end found an old cub that needed to be squashed for the weight on the from to hold all them ponies down. 5th( don't know how it moved it was 1st) picture is last years, all others are with modifications. Bring on plowing season.

The Los Angeles alternative rock band Los Lobos was a natural choice to record the La Bamba soundtrack. Though their own work is difficult to categorize, Los Lobos were longtime veterans of the L.A. club scene who could tear through early rock-and-roll classics as easily as they could open for acts as diverse as Bob Dylan and Public Image, Ltd. Yes. It could be that. Use some aggressive star washers on one corner of the engine mounting. You have proven you have ground issue.

Good evening every one! I recently ran across all this Wheel Horse madness looking to see how small a garden tractor cold get and still "look" like a tractor....little did I know I would find they get pretty small and they still do tractor work! These little machine's amaze me. My brand new 22hp Kohler craftsman mower would probably break in half if I ever hooked a plow, or disk to it. I'm very excited to be here and learn. And maybe figure out some good places to look, I can't find one within about ten hours that is affordable lol....but I don't give up easy!

I have used the 25% coupon online and had the engine (13 hp) shipped to me, even though the HF store is only five miles away. All they can say is no! The trick is to not talk to anyone.

Well it's different. I have no clue how you would go around trees. I'm only 16 and I made all the parts I needed from a picture.

A Wix 51410 or the same filter from Napa 1410 is a good choice for a hydraulic filter. Garry

I cut 2 slots in the bolt with a jigsaw and I was then able to crimp it a bit and then unthread it. The one slot cut into the threads by a small amount but when I ran some diesel through it to wash it out, the plug held the diesel so I'm thinking it's OK. Thanks to all of you for the various tips and tricks. I definitely learned something from all of this and I'll be happy to have my horse back in the field. -Chris

But I can only install the rears until I find new front wheels! Also moving to Tennessee Thursday-Sunday. I have to make a trip down-back up- and then down again... Not looking forward to the driving...

Ok... Great advice, all. If I understand the concept, the sharp edges of the star washer will pierce the paint and make direct contact with the frame. I guess I can do my best to scratch some of the frame paint off where the motor mounts to the frame as well as a star washer. I hope this does the trick.

Low oil level, Dirty oil, and operating on hilly terrain.

I needed a trailer so I could take my D-250 to the shows, so I found a $300 6foot by 10 foot trailer but it needed work. I got home and rebuild it, have before and after pictures hope they load right. Still needs a tail gate and a new set of ramps

A bit late to comment but I have run into this before over the years on various stuff, I use a small propane torch to heat/cool a few times and lightly drive in a good quality torx "star" bit to grab what material is left from the hex pattern

The 520 with the tiller is permanent because i hate taking on and off the tiller lol. The others take dual stages, plows etc..

Put a steering wheel and rear tire back on that and it would be still better than any of the big box store tractors. Come to think of it, that is probably better than big box store tractors as it sits!

I took some pictures yesterday of two recoil starters I have for Kohler 4 HP K 90 or 91 motors. The first is of my restored Schnacke recoil that Joe Papke helped rebuild for me. He did an excellent job. I did not realise I had two Schnacke hex bolts for the flywheel. They are different lengths due to application on different motors. This is noted in the Schnacke literature posted on page one (for the hex type Schnacke Recoil as opposed to the tooth type). I have a different recoil which is a New Old Stock Fairbank Morse Recoil and cup that was made for use on a 4 HP Kohler housing and I plan on using it on one of my RJ's. Between my brother and I we have four RJ's and I am hoping to have four different type of recoils on the four tractors for demonstration purposes.

Oh man when you told me how much paint and primer you used last week you never said anything about clear. I didn't know you were using clear coat as well. How many any cans of that do I need also? I almost ordered paint today. Glad I held off.

There are lots of places where can be hard to come by, plan on making it to the Wheel Horse Collector's Club show in June. Come with a big empty trailer and you can rustle quite a few horses and bring them home.

So this was on the local CL. This was in the ad along with a decent 1054, a couple of CCs, and some other garden tractors. $500 each obo. And no, he didn't put in that it was running when parked, but for some reason, that phrase came to my mind as it seems that is the terminology used for every non-runner.

Excuse my JD in background, at least it's not green and yellow too bad wheel horse never made a backhoe that big or it would be red! Hmmmm maybe I could give it a shiny new red paint job and custom wheel horse decals then I'd have one of one special edition!

Bring him in the office and ask one more time. Highly doubt he would confess now after denying it but... Show him the video and kindly wish him luck at his next job. It proves that you know what you're talking about and leaves absolutely no doubt about it. And if he is a good decent guy from the beginning, he should completely understand. If he doesn't understand, then you still made the correct decision. I'm with Jerry on how can he EVER be trusted again. Trust takes a lifetime to earn and only a second to loose. Every time someone misplaces something from now on, guess what you'll be thinking? That's also not fair to either of you. Consider it as doing him a big favor by teaching a life lesson and hope it helps him in the future. Keeping him around only hurts both of you. I do understand what chorusguy is getting at but teaching consequences for ones actions is a much better lesson in the long run IMO. You can still like him, help him, and all the rest of what a human being is but keeping him around is just enabling that kind of behavior. You must not pay too much if the guy has to jeopardize his job for a few bolts!
