Help comes in a lot of different forms. It comes in forms where somebody needs physical help, help with money etc. Yesterday during my adventure to Portland I just happened to have a flat tire on my trailer. Well first off it was as I got off at my exit to take about forty miles south on the highway. I approached a Firestone tire store and they told me No right along with the Walmart up the street No was there answer. If it was my truck then sure we will fix you right up. I even tried triple AAA to no avail. This will be there last year for that. At that point I called one of the people I was going to meet, Brandon Schamer came to my rescue. Brandon was looking for some xi attachments which I had a couple extra. Brandon stopped an bought a small floor jack for his car, also to jack up my trailer. Brandon got to me and the journey began. Got the wheel off and made the trip thru downtown Ft. Wayne to another Firestone dealership who actually carried the tire I needed. Got the tire put on and we returned to the Walmart parking lot to reinstall the tire on the trailer. We then unloaded the xi attachments. I have never been so grateful for the Help that I received yesterday Brandon just like I told you Thank you very much!! At that point I sill had a tractor to deliver. I called Derek W. up as he was packing up at Portland well that worked out good too, he told me too set tight and he would see me also at the Walmart parking lot. He came up and picked up the tractor. I am here to tell you when you need help the Wheel Horse people get together there's not a lot of things that can stop them. Just a little proud of my barn find 854 with a beautiful iron oxide patina. Got the mower deck also in similar condition.The engine is not seized and the starter spins. Working towards startup soon.

I built a set of forks for the loader tractor. made them simple and easy to adjust side to side and to remove all hardware with 4 bolts on the side of the bucket. will let you know how they work at a later date. The cross rod is 7/8 in. cold rolled steel, and the forks are 1/2 x3 in.. and the square tubing is 1 1/2 x 3 in. I put 2 locking bolts on the square stock to hold the forks in place You can move the forks in or out where ever you need them.

Well good news, I finally have enough money to buy a decent wheel horse! My search is now on full throttle, I'm mainly looking for round hoods and the body style after that, the squarish hoods? Like the picture lane ranger just posted of his tractor. Anyways just thought I'd let you guys know what's going on since I haven't been on in a little while

it will have a job when running- spotting seadoos around the yard and dragging in new (old) tractor projects. Have been using a Toro to pull seadoos around, but it just does not have the traction needed.

After almost two years of down time I finaly got around to retesting my 1990 520 h. After I bought it I noticed it was leaking oil from the oil filter mount and that the motion control was always in a bind, as well as finding a crack in the frame and because it fell outta the truck bed. I had to weld in reinforcements on the frame, replace the hood with a nos non vented one, replaced the gasket and cleaned the mess, also installed one of matts foot controls and gear reduction steering . Then it sat for awhile, last weekend I was considering robbing some parts off it then decided to get it going instead. I'm more than happy with it now and noticed that it was really fast? I had to do some sweet talking but got my wife to race me across the front yard with my 520 hc..... Same ground speed! Must have a leftover 89 hc gear that was used up in 1990

I know I know everyone likes pictures and videos. We were upstate recently and I had my son on the 314h pulling some logs. And me on the 522xi dragging a driveway groomer in circles. Once again they made my life a little easier.

In the early 1960s, Goffin and King were busy cranking out tunes they hoped would be hits for the likes of Bobby Vee and the Shirelles. Manny, The "no name" 1973 8 HP 4-speed is the predecessor of the B-80 4-speed. How about posting a picture of the RM327 ID tag and it's location on the tractor. My guess is that the previous owner put a decal or ID sticker (tag) in the wrong location. Stickers and ID tags for accessories weren't normally found on the tractor itself.

You may be pleasantly surprised, could be all it needs is the fuel pump ,and a little love. Worst case scenario, you will spend less to rebuild it than a "Big Box" lawn mower will cost and the will be working 20 years from now! Go get it!

This should be the one The HS is for horizontal engine crankshaft. In 1973 there was also a vertical crankshaft VS engine used with the same model name - 8hp 4-Speed Garry

I have an interesting situation. I have three tractors I got back in March. Each one was/is in various phases of restoration/refurbishment at the time of purchase; and with different parts missing. Recently while researching the ID tags one of the tractor's ID tag rendered confusing results. The decals on the hood of the tractor say it's an "8 - 4 speed", but the ID tag on the side says the Model number is: RM327. Researching the model number results in a 32" rear discharge deck. Am I missing something here? Are there any techniques, or methods to determine the model name/number of a Horse with a missing ID tag? Thank you. Chaplain Manny

looks like a peaceful place for a bit of horse play.

Got the carb cleaned up and it fired right up and purrs like a kitten. It had not ran in five years according to previous owner. Here are a couple of pics of it as well. Rough looking but runs solid and transmission is smooth.

You might be better off starting a new post with that question Skeeter. Not sure how much traffic this post gets in order to get you the answer that you are looking for.

I have a trailer with 23" tall tires and an overall width of 4'. The box is about 3' x 7' with two stakes at each end. I cut everything about 4" long and pile it crosswise on the trailer. It burns faster than I can cut and haul it. I find material 4' long can be handled easier and it gets cut up before it gets dragged through the dirt. I often haul and cross pile in 4' x 4' piles 6' tall as time allows and then make a full day of hauling and burning. Garry

Huskee Kevlar belts on the shelf at TSC. Inexpensive and never broke one. I label the sleeve with a magic marker; i.e.: 48" deck. Then I staple gun the belt sleeve to the shop wall.

Hardly far fetched Mike... that there's a given.
