Hi - I don't know the proper way to get this out, ..friend of mine was driving on us 36 west of 231 near Morton Indiana and saw a bunch of older wh for sale - round hoods and a factory tricycle set up.,. the guy told my friend that his dad was a collector and had died.. he just wants to sell them ..if you don't mind, please pass this on to the forum in a way that all have a chance to see it. Was painting the gas tank and engine for my daughters pink suburban and she decided she wanted to work on her other tractor today also.

Something I spied on a CL ad ! I've checked this ad acouple times , and just noticed it in the background . Something you don't see everyday , thought I'd share .

Any time I get the chance to involve one of the grand kids in a project using tools I jump on it. Today the oldest was working with me and since she already knows and enjoys using power tools while working on my houses decided time she learned how to do a little wrenching. Was a simple enough job was only replacing the shifter boot. that went so good taught her how to drive roll pins while replacing tensioner knob on the mule drive.

Had the 161 out cleaning up around the place and then jumped on the 701 and went for a trip around the neighborhood. My wife just shakes her head. Someday I hope she understands.

Check/Change Fluid and filter in the transmission. If I remember correctly the automatic transmission on that model takes 10w-30 motor oil, but check the manual to be sure.

Starting to look like a tractor anyway. Hotter than haites here last couple days. The ac in the shop decided to go south and I don't feel like fixing it. After working on them all day I don't feel like working on them when I get home! Motor is all together and in. Was a little stubborn starting and plenty of recoil issues. Finally got it started with a wrap around cord and once running and the carb dialed in it ran pretty good. Had problems wth the head gasket leaking. Manual says torque to 210 in lbs and in a clock wise pattern instead of cross wise which i thought was odd and they wouldn't stay put. Got poed and cranked them down to 25 ft lbs cross wise and seemed to hold. Also having problems with the drive belt but the belt is old and dry rotted so a new one is in order. If someone can point me in the right direction as far as correct length be obliged. The old one appears to be about 29" and doesn't disengage fully.

I'm finally getting around to starting a thread for this fine machine. You guys here advised me to get one about a year ago. Almost exactly a year ago, in fact! I had been to the Symco Thresheree with my CC100 and a CC 782 that I owned at the time. The 100 is a great little plow tractor and did a good job as usual. The 782 on the other hand was not. They can be good tractors for plowing but this one was giving me fits. After swapping seat time from the GD (gear drive) 100 to the Hydro 782, I decided that I needed to get another GD tractor for myself for plowing. There are many guys that plow with heavy duty hydros and swear by them. I'm not trying to discount that here or say that hydros aren't up to the abuse. Few things are as tough as a suns strand hydro build back in the day. I just prefer selecting a gear, dropping the plow, letting out the clutch, and enjoying the ride. For me, I feel like I can focus more on the sound of the tractor working, the feel of the tractor under me, and sight of the Brinly turning soil behind me. If I'm cutting grass or blowing snow, I'm a big fan of hydros. But when it comes to turning earth, I want to be on a GD. I had been watching an ad on CL for about a month that contained a 314-8. I had no previous experience with a WH GD and so I came on RS and was encouraged by many of you fine guys to take the plunge! ENTER GhostRider! He was ugly when I first picked him up but with less than 750 hours and a very low price, I felt I couldn't lose! He was a multiple owner machine but used by the previous owner just to plow snow. As you can see, it came with weights, chains, and the most important initial item... the Brinly hitch! The owner said that he had thought that he had it somewhere. Sure enough, it was in a tool cabinet in his shop! It was rough around the edges, but I was ready to put it to work! We had a plow day at my uncles coming up in a couple of weeks and I wanted to use it. I changed all fluids and installed a fresh drive belt. I had to sell the 782 to make room for the GhostRider and so I robbed some the plowing essentials like the AG tires and weights! Now I was ready to go plowing!

know the filling! One year the deer ate all of mine, did not get one. I installed and electric fence. My wife says; between the fence, special tractor with tiller, (wheel horse of course), fertilizer, lime etc. etc. etc. I could import tomatoes from Italy cheaper!

The engine on GhostRider, for being a single cylinder M14, runs buttery smooth and I was amazed how slick the tranny operates! It Had been really dry and the ground was pretty hard at Uncle Bob's but GhostRider did a really good job in spite of the conditions... This was the only pic of me actually plowing that day but my buddy took this video... I'm plowing with a 12" Brinly which plows even harder than a 10". The first thing that I realized was that GhostRider was going to need front end weights to keep the wheels down when the plowing got tough. You can also see the comfortable seat that I installed for plowing purposes. I figured that if I was going to spend a lot of time "in the saddle", it might as well be something welcoming! My uncle Roger can fabricate almost anything out of wood or metal. I asked him to help me solve the weight issue and he came up with this! It weighs about 65# and sure helps keep this horse from bucking too bad! At this time I also put a set of spare ags that I had on the front rims. I also pulled the engine cover and painted it. Ready to do some more plowing!

I tried to post these separate for voting purposes, but the system merged the posts together. These are 3 posts of the restoration of my 1983 GT-1142 I did this summer after my father passed away. I grew up on this tractor and now it looks like it did in 1983, minus the deck which rotted out a few years ago. More photos are in the galleries. My personal favorite is those close up of the left side and the way the light rays are.

Guys, I have the above wheel horse but now have a gear box transmission issue which I cannot fix, any ideas where any spares are available in Uk else will sell for spare parts Kohler engine runs fine albeit with no air filter as carb needs a bit of work done on it. Any help would be appreciated I am not a fitter just a tinkerer. Regards Uncle Nige

A few pictures from the Dodge County Antique Power Club show held in Burnett Corners WI, first full weekend in Aug every year. Allis Chalmers and Oil Pull were the feature this year. The feature area was fairly large, hard to get it all in a pic. what you see is about 1/3 of them. Had never see an AC 190 Beachmaster before. These were marketed as an industrial tractor for parks and beaches This tractor would appeal to Ford fans and Hot Rodders. Nothing like a big block and a blower. A real good turn out for the Economy reunion. Kind of a crappy Bolens, (pun intended) Truthfully it was a neat ride sure got smiles from a lot of people. Wheel Horse's were well represented, among many other brands. Can't believe I walked past this one twice before I saw the Horse underneath. My big toys There were also steam tractors, a steam generator, saw mills, a pull (got a third w/ my 30), threshing, rock crushing, and many other demonstrations. Hope you like the partial tour.

A good day on the Delaware Bay yielded a nice catch of white perch and hard shell crabs. And we had the bluebird weather.

Hi Guys Well finally after almost a month I got my Raider 10 up and mowing again that electric PTO was a real pain I could not find a good used one ANY where so my friend of a friend owns a lawn mower shop and machine shop what the problem was the pto would wobble on the shaft and was not makeing contact plus it was sparking so he did a little mill work to it now it dosent wobble spark ect works like new Thank God he did tell me a John Deer electric PTO 360 off a zero turn would have poss worked but any ways work really good now I just wanted to say Thank you to some of the guys on here who tried to help me that why I love this site Take care Jeff J

Nice Jack ... make sure you show the guys that mean looking blackhood wit the "blood shot" eyes! I Won't let out about a the possble decals you might have coming for it! I am going to PM you a pic of that field I got and needs turned over - about 2 acres I'd say and you would like it ... all soft sand & some times hard to keep rooled over. not that hard pack Fox Valley clay you guys are probaly used to! Hopefully going to Pioneer Power show at the end of this month and will see if there is any interest in a mini meet & greet & some plowing this fall with some of the MN guys and possibly some fibs in attendance. Reallly cool video....looks like them tractors were going to town. Also looks like the ground was fairly wet!

My Uncle Roger held a plow day at his farm in early October and I felt that was a perfect time to do some more testing and tuning on GhostRider. Instead I only ended up making a couple of rounds on him since I was busy running and organizing the day. One guy with a Cub broke his lift arm/link assembly and we repaired it at the shop and got him right back plowing. We had a small group with about 15 tractors present but it was a blast! Watch this video and keep an eye out for GhostRider. My friend Nate is driving. I'm on my dad's Iron Horse (875)... GhostRider was running good and working well. I Wasn't real satisfied with the hitch assembly and will likely fabricate something a little more stout in the future, but other than that I know I have a winner! After Rogers plow day, I decided to take my two oldest on a weekend run to Buck Creek, Iowa for their plow day...

@Johndeereelfman That is definitely one fantastic collection! I know there are very few collectors who can claim to have a full set of round fenders! For you (or anyone who didn't know) that same air compressor was available from the manufacturer as an allied attachment. The power of prayer is awesome! They had Dad all prepped for surgery this morning and the dr came in. He said the final blood tests showed no infection and the fluid drawn now shows no bacteria. Dad is coming home with a pic line for antibiotics as a precaution. So glad he is going to get to go home later! Just wanted to share the good news with everyone!!

nothing wrong with a little green. use the same kouler K181 as my 857. inherited this from my father in-law when he passed he got it free from his neibor. I been mowing with it now for a year since I retired my 857 from mowing. nice running tractor and mows grass real well. looked up serial number it is a 1970. i have did some paint work to it since this pic it looks almost new now.

, I like the helicopter landing pad and the airstrip leading up to it . Looks like a perfect place to ride your 's !
