7 pointsI picked up this 753 which had all the goodies on it! It ran ok. the 2 piece tank of course leaked pretty bad and so did the hy-2 hydraulics. It was in good shape besides the hood was mangled. The day I picked it up 1st thing I did was yank the tank off and replace 2 piece tank seal with Ron Greco reproduction seal and got it to seal 1st time around thank god 2 piece tank is a good and bad idea good cause they are aluminum and don't rust bad cause its a leak point! This is after the 1st stage of buffing This after I polished the original paint with a buffer it came out to nice to fully tear it apart so I left it !

6 pointsCONFIRMATION ON THE SPIDER (DIFFERENTIAL PINION GEARS). !!!! The #3531 spider gears from the #5003 & #5010 RJ & Suburban differentials will work in the #5007, #5025, #5046, #5048, and #5053 Roundhood 2 piece, 3 speed uni-drive differentials and vice-versa...ie. the #4235 spider gears will work in the RJ & Suburban differentials. The only difference between the 2 types of axle gears...one is splined for the axle and the other one is keyed. They are the same OD with the same amount of teeth. The difference in the spider gears...the RJ & Suburban has 12 teeth...the uni-drive 3 speed has 11 teeth. This means that you can use spider gears from say, a 702 transmission in the differential of a RJ transmission. One thing, you have to do it in sets of 4 pinions...ie. You need four #3531 spiders, or four #4235 spiders...you can't mix them up. First 2 pictures show the 2 types of axle gears. third picture shows the #4235 spiders in place of the #3531s. The axles turn smoothly...they have to...the axle gears are the same.

4 pointsSnow picked up again and we waited until about 8:30 and hit it hard again. Don't have much of a driveway, but live at tne end of a dead end street. If we didn't plow it, public works would get it - probably a day later. 520H, 42 inch blade and Matt's foot control kit. We'll hit it again in the morning. Bill

4 pointsSo today re-affirmed for me that there is still good stuff out there to be found. I was checking out Craig's List a few days ago and saw a listing for a new Wheel Horse hood. The ad said it was for a C120, had never been installed and to make a fair offer. I'm still real busy at work, Not at the beach like some people, and didn't get a chance to call. When I remembered about it 5 days later I figured it was gone. I checked, and the listing was still there. I got a hold of the guy and he said he had one guy call, who he had some choice words for because he low balled him at $25 for it. He basically told him to you know what in his hat and he'll crush it first. He then told me there was some other NOS stuff and because I sounded like a decent guy who wasn't trying to screw him he would let me have the hood and all the other NOS stuff for $50. I barely could contain my excitement. That was last night. So today after 32 hours straight at work I headed to his house to collect my bounty. The story goes he bought this stuff over 20 years ago to restore a C120 he had but never got around to it and ended up getting rid of the tractor. He put the parts up in his barn and thats were they have been ever since. Well now the parts are in my shop and they will going on my C160 this spring. The paint is unbelievable. A couple of small imperfections but nothing that can't be buffed out.

4 pointsAfter a mild winter so far this year, I came close to blowing it. And it looks like I will be "walking" this time for this storm. The 523Dxi decided to have an intermittent problem with the glow plugs so it is to the rear of the lineup. Luckily I sprung last year and got a cab for the Ariens walk-behind. It should be handy with the winds that are predicted. In the meantime, planning on hunkering down until ...? But someone else is ready for fun!

4 pointsI think you need a 4 wheel alignment , your tires are out of whack.
-
4 pointsNo, if that was in DC the Democrats would be on one path and the Republicans on the other and when they came to the intersection there would be a total impasse!
-
4 pointsYou certainly would get a few rubber neckers if you was to trot around out there on a horse pulling your ice gear!

3 pointsI would do whatever it takes to get the tractor. It clearly means a lot to you. I have my grandfather's tractor and someone would have to remove me in a body bag to get it away from me. It's no longer just a tractor at this point. Keep us posted on how you make out. I would like to know. Here is my grandfather's 1961 - 701. My husband got it running again and some new paint as a gift for me this Christmas. I know it has a 702 on it, but the guys here on Red Square helped us out with this. Great group of people on here!!
