5 pointsIm ready for winter!! I got all of my snow attachments on today. First off is my 1993 520-H with 494 hours. Second is my 1990 212-H with around 1518 hours. Third is my 1988 212-6 with 383 hours. Last but not least my 2007 315-8 with 167 hours. I swear the 212-6 and the 315 will go through just about anything!! The 212-H with the plow will be for clean up. I think its funny how the two 200 series look so small but they can do a lot!

5 pointsFriend of mine had a Fox mini bike with the 5 horse Tin Indian. Another friend had a Kawi 75CC bike and picked on that Tecky and challenged him to a drag race. They took off with the Kawi drawing an early lead, but the 1st guy reached down and grabbed the governor lever and it was all over. Kawi never had a chance!

4 pointsMy wife asked if me if these tractors breed like rabbits! I'm a newbie started with a 59 RJ and 702 in the beginning of September two weeks later a Charger 10. Then last Tuesday a half of a 702. Dennis Thorton told me (you'll find no cure here just lots consolidation ) he was right.

4 pointsI'll throw up a couple different pictures. I have a set of patterns at aluminum factory plus a set at the cast factory. Handle or No handle. Aluminum is more less for show no weight factor 22lbs where the cast weigh in at 54lbs.

4 pointsI would think that your parents would be happy with you messing around with small engines and not acting like a lot of young people your age. they were up until engine number 10. Then there were the mowers they were attached to. Having only a small one car garage things get out of hand quick and i had to throw a lot of em away(most of em were junk anyway and i only had them to look what went wrong) Tell them you are learning a trade, instead of hanging out and doing drugs. They will leave you alone.

3 pointsYou guys! I'm still having too much fun driving Skonk around to put the plow on. I might get the rear fatties on him tomorrow.I did get Ezra finished today.

2 pointsLadies and gentlemen, It is going to snow tonight, so the time has come to assemble the team. Let's see what you have! Go ahead and snow. I am not afraid!

2 pointsJust got back from Scott's Meet and Greet last weekend with a couple of side trips on the way home. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Tour and of course Maker's Mark distillery tour, any time I'm in Kentucky, This was my first real Wheel Horse show and it was amazing! Many beautiful tractors. Scott and his family put on a great event. Met a lot of Red Square members and now can put some faces with some name. Everyone I met was very friendly and hospitable. Just what I expected. It was a little cold but even a wimpy Florida guy didn't think it was that bad. Still have my keister, Racing Bob. Did some trading with Jake with a 400 burb in some disarray for some 3 piece trans work. Jake and his dad, great people. If I ever do grow up I want to be like Jake. For a while it looked like I was going to be the one who came the furthest distance, but then I noticed some ladies who looked a bit out of place for a Wheel Horse tractor meet. I finally asked one of them where they were from and she said they had just flown in from California but were originally from China. Very impressive. Didn't sell my 520H wheel set or my steering wheel, nobody seemed too interested. That's when I noticed the truck bed looked empty so I bought another 400 burb with snow blade and a tub cart. Whats a guy gonna do. If we ever get a foot or more of snow in Northwest Florida, I'm set. Once, again I want to thank Scott and his family for putting this outstanding meet together, and I may be back next year! Who knows there may be someone from Australia next year since this thing has gone global! -Chris in Florida. Here are the pictures of the new burb.

2 pointsI picked up a very tidy 1983 C125 this week. It is a well travelled tractor having been sold new in the UK and then imported into Australia about seven years ago. It is fitted with a 36" rear discharge deck. The tractor model number is 11-12K801. The ID plate on the deck has lost its clear cover film and consequently the number is gone. Is any-one able to let me know the likely model number? I need an outer pulley which are a smaller diameter than my 42" decks. thank you

2 pointsBroken belt or broken key in the axle hub, transaxle pulley or engine pulley would be the first places I would look. I suppose there could be other problems with the transaxle and there are many RS members who have way more experience in that area than me.

2 pointsHere you go Craig. 1st coat. I use 500 degree engine enamel paint it usually stays buy Dupli-Color#1605 Ford Red this also is resistant to oils. I do not prime I just spray it on. As long as it is clean. Close enough I say it is not being Judged.
-
2 pointsOk, what's the problem here?? I've seen many of those weights sell for over five hundred dollars. Yes it was on flea-bay. I do plan on doing some more weights. I'm sure there are some of you New to this hobby as I've been doing now for about 12 years maybe 13, and so as the story goes I've watched e-bay a lot, so yes I've seen expensive an then Not so expensive. It doesn't really matter if it is something you want or need to finish your project you'll either buy or you won't. The original weights are expensive Handle or No handle!!

2 pointsKC For some reason, I imagine the guy sitting in that seat at about 400 pounds. With a beer in one hand, and a turkey leg in the other! Redneck engineering at it's very best!
-
2 pointsWith all that snow removal equipment, no self respecting snow flake would dare to land on your property! I saw this at a tractor show today.

2 points'61 to '64 "round hoods" for me. I'm quite fond of the pewter WorkHorse models too.

1 pointWell things are starting to get Interesting! And as I predicted what a difference the right coach Makes playing with pretty much the same group as last year. John no worries on Northwestern next week We softened them up for you, there is WILDCAT STEW being served at my place in a couple hrs. Northwestern are CREAM PUFFS and other than spending time with my friends the game is going to suck and to be honest I would rather stay home and watch Michigan play Michigan State as I am going to Miss about 3 hrs of that game! Anyways Looks like I am going to have some company at the top after this week when the scores are tallied up I edited my post after I made my pics I had notre LAME picked and I changed it being I'm a Navy man and all I should have left it alone! But anyways as Ole Paul Harvey Said.

1 pointI knew I was destined to the Horses in school also. I was mowing lawns when all the other guys were playing football and getting all the girls. I had two claims to fame in school one baseball related. While on the varsity team we stunk, wen't something like 1-12. The track team was a league champion and challenged us to a softball game. Half the school turned out. We won 23-5. I hit 2 tape-measure homers and almost decapitated their first baseman with a liner right at his forehead! I even told him before the game I was going to do it.! Got named MVP 2nd one was sneaking into the home ec room and cellophane taping the kitchen sprayer lever down so it sprayed whenever someone turned on the sink.

1 pointI was in High School during those World Series. I had one of those small transistor radios hidden in the cut out pages of a dictionary and a wire ear phone in my ear...sitting in study hall like I was studying.

1 pointThere is nothing like power steering. Once you use it, you'll never want to be without it. I have driven SteveBo's 520LXI with the power steering and it is very comparable to the JD318. I really like having the extra ports for the live hydraulics. You can power I wide variety of attachments like 3 point log splitter, hydraulic dump cart or anything that want to make yourself. I will say I'm not a fan of Onan engines in general although this one seems to run great once I took the carburetor apart and soaked it in carb cleaner. This tractor seems like it was gently used given it's condition (still can't figure out why the previous owner repainted it with a brush). But that's fixed now.
-
1 pointI prefer the gentle engagement you can get with an manual PTO. Be sure your blower isn't frozen/jammed with snow and ice before you try to engage tthe electric PTO

1 pointAlright here it goes, something like this: Ohio State, Penn State, IOWA, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minny, Mich State, and NOTRE DAME. it's kind of strange, but I don't mind if the Irish lose to Navy. It happens every year. I always root for the service academies, esp Army because my Dad was in the Army. And ND vs a service academy always has me torn. I also commend the Irish for keeping the rivalry alive and well. We all know that if it wasn't for the Navy, ND might not be around now. This game brings a feeling of old school to modern times. Old school like when college football was cleaner and there wasn't any money involved and its 1953 again and all there is is the game between 2 prestigious schools. No Catholics vs convicts here gents!!

1 pointMost of the stuff i drag home sneaks it's way through the narrow path beide the shop. It stays there for a day or two before i start doing stuff to it. By that time my parents ask where the hell that "thing" came from. Most of the time the answer is i allready had this. They are getting suspicius tho since the small engines and parts of mowers are starting to pile up

1 pointGreat collection, thanks for the photos.I just showed them to my wife and she seems a little more at ease with my collection which is no where near as numerous. Luck,JAinVA
-
1 pointOh Steve -- Why did you have to go there -- Almost as bad as talking politics or religion -- Well on second though most Cub fans I know treat rooting for the "little brown bears" just like a religion -- GO BIRDS!
-
1 pointThat was the toughest one I must admit.. But the constant flashing of a Hawkeye through out this thread definitely persuaded me!
-
1 pointOh, OK. No biggie. In that case I would clean up the connections and make sure they are tight. With the key in the run position but the engine not running, turn on the lights. The needle should swing a fuzz to discharge (left of center). It won't be much. Starting the tractor you should see the needle swing to the + (right of center). With a fully charged battery it will drop back pretty quickly. Look at that and if you're not having any problems everything is probably fine.
-
1 pointJohn Burly, in the past, has had them reproduced. He's offered them in two versions, cast iron, and aluminum. Both versions come with, or without handles...and I don't think either of 'em started at $150...just sayin.

1 point953, will do. I grew up in NC and my folks still live there. My dad has driven my horse and has caught the 'fever'. He is currently looking down there for one of his own. I'll let you know how it goes!

1 pointThat fully hydraulic blade has me all jealous! Been yankin on the manual lift and angle lever so much on my Wheel Horse these last few weeks that I would consider a "greenie" just for the ease of use!! Nice find Jeff. Mike.............

1 pointI have a 314-A, 314-8, 314-H, 520 and a 1968 raider 12 and i like them all. My wife wants me to scale back but i can't make myself sell them off. It really is a sickness!

1 pointI like the mid engine tractors best, but if I had to choose a favorite in my collection currently it would be the 55 rj35 I just picked up.
