Just got back from Scott's Meet and Greet last weekend with a couple of side trips on the way home. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Tour and of course Maker's Mark distillery tour, any time I'm in Kentucky, This was my first real Wheel Horse show and it was amazing! Many beautiful tractors. Scott and his family put on a great event. Met a lot of Red Square members and now can put some faces with some name. Everyone I met was very friendly and hospitable. Just what I expected. It was a little cold but even a wimpy Florida guy didn't think it was that bad. Still have my keister, Racing Bob. Did some trading with Jake with a 400 burb in some disarray for some 3 piece trans work. Jake and his dad, great people. If I ever do grow up I want to be like Jake. For a while it looked like I was going to be the one who came the furthest distance, but then I noticed some ladies who looked a bit out of place for a Wheel Horse tractor meet. I finally asked one of them where they were from and she said they had just flown in from California but were originally from China. Very impressive. Didn't sell my 520H wheel set or my steering wheel, nobody seemed too interested. That's when I noticed the truck bed looked empty so I bought another 400 burb with snow blade and a tub cart. Whats a guy gonna do. If we ever get a foot or more of snow in Northwest Florida, I'm set. Once, again I want to thank Scott and his family for putting this outstanding meet together, and I may be back next year! Who knows there may be someone from Australia next year since this thing has gone global! -Chris in Florida. Here are the pictures of the new burb.

Found this at a yard sale last Saturday. '79 C121 It has a good 42" deck. She runs but she's a smoker and it's complete. Seat is roached. It's pretty much all original, unmolested with the exception of someone has bypassed the ignition switch with a push button for some reason. Transmission seems to be in good working order. I'm not real familiar with the Hydrostat trans. My other WHs are manual trans, so I have a question. There is a lever to engage/disengage the trans. Is this supposed to put it in neutral so you can roll the tractor?

I got my Wheel Horse No Name 10 a cpl. months ago. It came with 62 lb. home made wheel weights. I took them off, cleaned all the rust, painted them and made some decals. I used 1/8" pinstripe tape and ran a pinstripe around the outside then clear-coated them. Not too bad.

OK Steve, that post has been edited LOL I don't want to be banned from owning a Wheel Horse, that would be more than I could bear! Please don't take away my right to keep and bear Wheel Horses ! That is an amendment to the US Constitution isn't it?

Van, go back up to one of your posts and delete that comment about trying Stop Leak in your transmission. It only takes a few minutes to replace that seal. Anybody that even thinks about putting Stop Leak into a Wheel Horse transmission ought to be banned from owning a horse!!! I wouldn't even think about doing something like that...even if I was selling the Horse to someone I did not like.

Maybe I could come and show you how to roll it onto my trailer. Marvin

jm the onan engines from about early 1986 used a plastic flyball spacer. ( they probably saved about 20 cents ) these are known to get loose and or break. when this happens they over rev. the original ones were steel. i do have the steel ones ava. if you end up needing one boomers_influence@yahoo.com or call 651 437 2826 M-F 10-7 S-S 12-6 cent time. thank you. boomer ( the used onan engine parts guy,also NOS and new )

This is what I think I know about the snowthrowers for the long frame tractors 1983 model 06-42ST03 was the first to use skids 1984-1987 model 06-42ST04 1987-1989 model 06-42ST05 was the first to use a 7/8" diameter drive shaft 1990 model 06-42ST06 1991-1993 model 06-42ST07 was the first to use the tall chute 1993-1998 and 2000-2001 was model 79360 1995 model 79360 was the first to use the 8" high shield in the front of the chute 2002-2007 was model 79362 Garry

Glad to hear you made it back ok. Now just set back and wait for the first snow. That 400 has a lot of miles on it as I told you. Started out in north west Ohio and made at least 5 trips to Minnesota and a few local shows as well. Have fun with it.

#5 SAE ORB is the fitting size in that goes in the cylinder. You are not going to find it at TSC. Some ideas Note Price in ORB#5 Hose end...I have not found a source for swivel elbow SAE5 Hose ends at any price

Just thought I would post some semi final pictures of the barn as it stands today. Over the past few weeks since the meet and greet I was able to stain the wood and paint the windows. The last thing I need to do is to install the snow retention system on the front of the roof eave and then decide if I want to install panels over the front door or maybe go with a wood shake with dark stain? Not sure yet.

So seeing all of these are just awesome! Steve.....it may just happen one of these years. Oh by the way, I have enjoyed the 70 degree weather the past two days!

Here it is! Where do I find the serial number so we can figure out what year this bird is? I was told 1990 but according to my searches on here the decals look to be more like 1994-5... I love the look of this tractor, even on its unkept state. So, as I'm loaded and getting ready to leave, I ask the owner what it takes to use garden implements on this tractor. He begins to explain about the Brinly adapter hitch. He tells me that he used to have one for this tractor but he sold it. He opens a cabinet in the back of the shop and there it is!!! He says, "I guess I still have it. You can have it if you want it!" I like it for three bills!!!

I got sick and tired of messing around with the vacuum fuel pump on my GT 1100. It has the 11 hp briggs. So after some thought I went to napa today to see about a universal electric pump. I also think this may be good for one of my kohlers if ever those pumps fail. The one I got is PN 610-1051 it says 1.5-4 lbs of pressure. It is actually better than I expected, seems well built, comes with a filter for the inlet side and a hose barb for the outlet(brass even!) The pump is 1/8 inch female pipe thread on both ends. Seems to work great. I jumpered it to run constant while checking for leaks and found none, float seems to hold needle shut just fine. The cost was a little tall at $50 but some of the replacement mechanical pumps are near that and it seems like it will last. Anyway thought I would pass it along.

They were there the other day. Had same issue in another thread that they disappeared in. As for machining new ones, anything is possible, for the right price.

When you do pop that seal off Van... check to see if there is any slop in that axle. Give it a wiggle...up, down, left right...see what happens.

Hey TD, That lever actually has two functions. No. 1, It releases the tension on the drive belt idler pulley disengaging the transmission from the engine. You should always disengage the tranny when starting the tractor. That lever also locks the differential inside the case when you pull it up , thus it is a parking brake. As Davoman said, Never try to move the tractor when the lever us up in the park position or pull it up to the park position when the tractor is moving. You will break off the locking pawl inside the case. To tow or push the tractor by hand, you need to take off the parking brake by pushing the lever down, and you need to open the tow valve as Chorus guy and Kelly described

Directions to push it are on the left foot rest, I can see it in the pics.

No. Under the drivers rear fender there is something called a tow valve. It is a small peg that sticks out toward the front if the tractor. It is either a square it will be slotted for a standard straight blade screwdriver. Probably about 3/8" and maybe sticks out about an inch. The neutral position is simply a stand still position while the tractor is in use or parked. I believe you turn the tow valve counterclockwise about a half a turn to push or tow and clockwise or closed when operating. Make sure it is closed when you operate it. And make sure it's open when you push or tow

It is obvious that you understand the laws of physics, having the front of the frame strapped down prior to adding the weight of the transaxle. very nice work

Finally got my wheel weights cleaned up and painted. Thought I'd make them look a little nicer by making the WH logo with a thin red pinstripe around the outside. Turned out good, huh?

Nice work, If you need tires and rims I have plenty to choose from for a grand total of $0.00 all have good tread and not really any weather cracks to speak of Clean a rim or add a tube and good to go. NC meet n greet coming up soon so I could bring a bunch if you can make it?

This past weekend cousin Timbo and Toddbo came over and we continued to work on the lights in the barn and outside. Maybe one more weekend and we should be pretty close to being done. Got the sign hung on the wall over the main door. I made the frame out of 1x rough cut shiplap siding. It comes off pretty easy to get at the lights behind the sign. Here are a few pics.
