8 pointsWhat's going on out there in WH land?? I came across a C195 here a week or two back. It just so happens it turned out to be an 84' which I have very much grown to like. This one will undoubtly will see snow blower duty this winter. That will give the 82' a rest this winter. Thinking I might throw the grader blade on it for shows this summer. I was looking for a seat pan an found one. It will need the panel cut in two different places for the hyd. controls and also the fuel tank. Here are a few pictures, I will Not be adding duels!!!!

6 pointsWas finally able to christen the new hauler today. Thanks again, and was nice to finally meet both the Mr. and Mrs. Baerpath today.

5 pointsLast year 2014 I made the special trip from UK to the Redsquare Row & I had one of the best times of my life , met some great people & I'm planning on making the trip again some time in the future . You are gonna have a ball

5 pointsLOL, I wish thats what it was Mike. Truth is building two barns and remodeling my house since the 2014 Big Show has just about sucked my savings account dry. And of course buying another Bobcat skidsteer with some attachments did put any of the money back in the bank either. This year ol' Van has to fly coach to the Big Show instead of first class!

4 pointsI have one of those 17 cu ft yard trailer/carts from the big box stores and that thing is worth its weight in gold for doodling yard refuse, but I've always wished it had a bit more capacity.... Sooo since I have had it several years and it was needing a 'freshening', I figure while I've got in the 'repair shop' I might as well try and add some to its capacity ability. Of course since it was needing paint it naturally was gonna some RED! put on it! I went to the H depot and looked at what was available, wanted something that was treated because the cart has to live outside and settled on round nose decking, a 2x6 for the uprights. and 6 of those handy support thingys. Construction was pretty straight forward - a drill, handfull of deck screws and a few lag bolts and --- by golly the dang thing looks pretty good! (Course that RED paint is what makes it look REALLY good) Think I just may have to get me a couple 'Wheel Horse' decals from Terry to top it off with.... Thought you guys would like it too and maybe get ideas for your cart....

4 pointsI've got fun plans for this year. Instead of just coming up on Friday-only as in years past, I made reservations for a hotel in Gettysburg so I can participate Thursday through Saturday. Also I'll be bringing a diesel tractor or two.
-
4 pointsWell, Ive got my favorite mug already packed...got my list of things I am hauling out for guys and I got my list of things I am picking up to haul back for guys. Looks like I will be hauling a trailer, so I will have to buy some raffle tractor tickets...I kind of hope they do not call my name...as room will be a factor. I have gotten into some meditation this spring. I was fishing the other day and near the shore line I saw this shiny thing in the water. It turned out to be a DVD for nude Yoga...the models are great. I can't believe anyone would have thrown this out. This is going to help me make it through listening to kids running Tecumsehs mixed in with Kohlers all day for 3 days at the show. :orcs-cheers: Om...Om...Om

4 pointsIndiana's Bicentennial is next year. They placed me in the display area with all the Indiana made products ! I hate to say it but I would have traded my all my Wheel Horse tractors for that 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk behind me! What a ride! I also was across from a 1970 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super 20 that was quite a truck to see! Hard to believe that was 45 years ago! 3 pointsThat's ignorance speaking. The 15hp Command is An OHV aluminum block cast iron cylinder EPA friendly version of the old K & later Magnum series. It has a pressure oil system as opposed to the old splash lube. Unfortunately some engines leak and others never do. Just comes down to dumb luck. Just treat it right and enjoy. 2 pointstaken down to bare metal, . starting to put back together, need to pick up new bolts yet and paint a few brackets Just have to put the rack and the guide wheels on and then done.
-
2 pointsSo while I was waiting for paint to dry...I installed Matts Hydro Pedal kit...It was fun and I can't wait to get it adjusted and try it out. Unfortunately it WILL have to wait, as I have more cleaning and sanding and painting. I guess you folks already know what I am finding out. In my first attempt at a refurb....The deeper you go the more problems one encounters. Found a broken seat pan bracket and my 48" mower deck has severe metal fatigue and a crack that is not going to last the summer....But anyway a few pics of the pedals and my feeble attempt at painting. I hope to learn enough this year, so I can take it down to the frame next year. So that gives me a year to learn to weld and paint...

2 pointsMy new building arrived almost a month and a half early.Good thing I've been preparing for about 3 weeks.I had to get rid of about 7,000 pounds of scrap metal.Cut down 4 trees and take out 2 of the stumps, take down my garden fence, move my chicken coop, and spread and roll 90 tons of crusher run.The three guys who built the building rolled into my back yard about 9:15 this past Thursday morning and unloaded their truck and trailer and started working.5 minute water break in the late AM.Half hour pizza and wing break about 4 PM.Building was done, mess cleaned up,tools and equipment loaded back up,and they left about 8:30 PM.I never saw 3 guys work so hard and fast. The building is all steel construction,30 ft by 30 ft.12 foot high walls. Two 10 by 10 roll-up doors,36 by 80 inch personel door.I'm going to use the building for equipment storage and to store some of my Horses that have been living outside.I'm going to put some metal shelving that I bought about 10 yrs ago along the side walls. No electric power,no heat,no insulation, just a crusher-run floor.Plain and easy storage. Here's some pics.

2 pointsVery nice building. Similar to what I would like to build. I have the space, I have the need, I have a wife. No building.

2 pointsIf those guides are adjusted too close, they will not allow the belt enough room to disengage the pulley. Adjust them to about 1/8 - 1/4 inch off the engaged belt. May take some trial and error with a new belt to get the correct position. The belt must disengage from the engine drive pulley and stop turning it when you push the pedal so the gears don't grind while shifting. Make sure the pulley is clean and rust free too. Technically the tractor is supposed to brake when you disengage the clutch. You can loosen the nut for the brake band to delay this a little. The more you loosen it, the more the pedal has to travel to engage it. Sounds like it's adjusted a bit too tight. Again, use trial and error method until it's adjusted to a comfortable spot.

2 pointsWaiting to see the New Super duty's, from what I here the Super Duty's are suppose to be aluminum also. So my thoughts are 2017 Super Duty will probably be my last New truck. The 12' has xlt equipment so I'm going to step up to either a Lariat or possibly the King Ranch. I'm kind of hoping they bring the Lightning back. I would use that for getting around town besides that I have a few little dodge trucks that think they can't be beat!!! Let them dream! Sorry Craig, but I had too!!

2 pointsHere is the id plate. I do not know the history of the c160 because I got it out of a bramble patch! As you can see it was a bit worse for wear when I got it. I am slowly pulling it in to shape now but it's taking awhile.

2 pointsThat umbrella is quite the sight! You may need a red light on top for planes though!
-
2 pointsI got the rear tires mounted on the 520 rims today. Plan on bringing those to the sand blaster this week then I can paint them. The fronts are all done. I used Navajho White I had mixed. Could not find canvas white at the store. I like the stance...I was able to buff the paint and then wax it. Came out real nice.
-
2 pointsCraig, you just needed to find one like I have. A '74 C-160 with a OHV HH160 Tecky. Its got power, class, fuel economy, sound, etc. Can't go wrong Never had a 520, but this thing works hard and loves it.

2 pointsPlanning to be there again (three years in a row) with Jay and James. Gonna try the camping thing this time to get the full effect of the Big show. Difinetly looking forward to seeing all my Red Square friends! Planning to arrive Thursday as usual. Looking to buy maintenance items like fuel tank caps and shifter boots. I would like to see one of Bob's wheel stud conversion kits. Also would like to find some AG tires at a good price, and of course anything else I can't live without LOL

1 pointI have completed mod on JD Thatch rake I bought last fall. Have always like/wanted a front thatch rake for the Horses as I had 1 a few years ago on a Simplicity Conquest. It worked excellent and was able to tow a sweeper so was a 1 pass setup. It was not very difficult to modify. Made a mount for tractor from angle and spracers. Welded it all up and utilized holes already in frame. The rake mount frame needed shortening so pivit point was not too far forward as would be rake too. Lift lever was a little trickier as Had to go on same side as impliment lever. I made mount for it from a solid steel block (overkill but wanted to thread it). Made a couple bents to clear everthing and it functions nice. Then stripped the awful green/yellow and sprayed with IH red majic from TSC. Not a perfect paint job (couple runs) as was first time using catylst etc with enamel. I'm happy with the outcome as it's just a rake after all. MU

1 pointThen you can expect a very long life out of your Command. That's a motors best friend. Oh crud....I'd be using emoticons but they don't work on this tablet?????????
-
1 pointDave, a lot of folks confuse the Commands with the Courage vertical series. The Courage motors were a definite problem child.
-
1 pointif it is properly maintained them y should get more than 2000 hours, ive heard of some k,s with 3-4 thousand,so a command should go 2000 and more
-
1 pointI've got a 2005 and zero issues so far but it's still a puppy. Kohler claims the life on a Command is longer than a Magnum or K series. Personally, I question that based on extensive experience with the K's. Time will tell......maybe......I don't put near the hours on it like I used to. If Commands are prone to oil leaks I'm not too worried about it. Oil leaks can be fixed.

1 pointSounds like the points are in the closed position which is grounding the I terminal on the ignition switch. This would be correct using the continuity buzzer of the meter. Try your test light on both terminals of the ammeter. They both should be alive all the time. If only the battery side has power the shunt in the ammeter has failed. If that is the case you can disconnect the battery negative cable for safety reasons and then connect both wires to one terminal on the ammeter. Then reconnect the negative battery cable. That should get you running but the ammeter won't work. Garry

1 pointFriday features the evening cruise... which makes for an incredible sight to behold. Then Saturday is our parade day.

1 pointHad both of 'em... still have the 520. Patiently waiting for the video.

1 pointBingo! I had a Grant GT cap that I tried to add a Wheel Horse logo to but it didn't turn out very well, so I purchased this Corvette Flags cap new, and like the way it looks much better. I also am awaiting a chrome "V"-Twin horn to install so it will actually honk when the horn cap is pressed, Mark.

1 pointShoot!!! We were going to have a "live" shout box and were counting on you to bring he broom!!!!!

1 pointHi I am the collector in Canada You speak of, Infact I am 99% sure that this picture is one of my 3 E-141. If not somebody got a shed and a tractor that looks a lot like mine. The E-141 was a 1980(s) electric tractor and was built with want appears to be the odds and ends for the Wheelhorse parts bin. It is not an Electrak per say, which were built in the 1960s and 1970s by GE, Wheelhore, New Idea. The E-141 is well describes in other posts, and is some what of a 10 Point Albino Buck in terms of collecting. Not in the least because pullers like to cut them up for the Uni Drive Transmission. It is built like a tank and weight close to 900 lbs with a full set of batteries. It has the attach a matic. system hooking up equipment but no belt drive so it is limited to the belly mower deck with three electric motors or non power equipmnet like plows. I now have two I sold one to a collector in the south I really didn't need three of them. If you want more discussion ask away. Geof
