Gave the "replacement" motor another good workout this evening moving the piles from my blowin' and plowin' on the driveway in front of the garage. It runs great. Some smoke on the start-up after a three week sit. Idled rough after use. I still need to fine tune it.

I added a new horse to the herd tonight! I have always wanted a 953 and now I finally have one! I paid $250, but it does need some TLC. Needs a seat first of all, and some lights, but it does runs very well with no smoke. Also it pops out of 3rd gear so the tranny needs some attention. The hydraulics seem to work well though. Oh yeah, and i also drug home what was left of a 1045 lol. It was a great day!

First I had to do my least favorite chore. Since Paul didn't take my hint and travel south with his power sweeper, I had to hand rake for about two hours to get the stones out of the lawn and back on the road. Then I hooked my favorite worker to the roller and got two hours of quality seat time rolling the lawn and the road. Also rolled in a breaker to turn the water off the road.

Case in point Bob, even your three caterpillars covered all the bases and their fuzzy tails just like the pros. And they did it w/o 12 computer models and a BS in meteorology degree. I always attempt to stay clear of or take the middle ground on all the important hotbed topics, i.e. politics, Onan, religion, Tecumseh, and weather forecasting. But after enduring the weather in SC Pa for 70+ years , I feel almost as qualified as the fuzzy bears to predict the weather in this area. So here are my forecasts for SC Pa. Tomorrow---- The sun will positively shine between sunrise and sunset although it may be obscured by clouds at times. There is a chance of rain or snow. Winds will be out of the NSEW at 1-100 MPH. Long range 2016 thru 2020 We will experience warm summers with average temps exceeding 50F. There will be frequent late afternoon thunderstorms with lightening and sudden downpours. Our winters will be cool with average temps less than 70F. Some snow and or ice is guaranteed during Farm Show Week.

Geez, I am very envious. Of the seat time you got, the nice tractor, the nice roller, and of having grass. We still have about 8-12" of snow cover still!

Traveled over to the Auburn Auction Park in Auburn, IN last night to get our display set up for the show this coming weekend March 13-15. There is already a great turn out of machines and the folks have until Thursday night to get their stuff under the roof. I am set up this year with a small club that I am part of known as the Northern Indiana Garden Tractor Club, where we will have over 40 machines together. The show hours are as follows: Friday 9-6 Saturday 9-5 Sunday 9-3 Parking is free but admission is $7 or $10 for a 3 day pass. They have food available on site, big tractors, little tractors, old farm trucks, old farm tools, farm toys for sale, craft area, and much more. I believe your paid admission will also get you in the automobile museums across the highway. I will be on site Saturday and Sunday so please stop by and say hello. My display is set up at the table with chairs. I would love to meet you. This picture shows the 1965 Jacobsen Chief 800 that I purchased last fall from Clyde Potts in Wooster, Ohio. They asked me if it could be displayed on the main stage next to my good friend Billy Orr's beautiful 753. Here is a photo of the C-120 that the tractor club is working on thanks to David Rice, Crawfordsville, IN. It is the tractor located on the right of the photo. Here are a few photos of my tractors, along with some from our club. We have a great turn out so far and can't wait to see what the place looks like once the show begins. Okay so we finally got some decent weather and I had a chance to put all the pieces together to complete my GT 14 3 PT hitch and platform (good for 400 lbs plus). Hope you like it tried it out today with my wife on the platform and it work flawlessly.....

The one I wanted the most took me years to find a nice original working planter. No rusted out cans, ect. I really like using the tractors / implements I have.

I have been working on a box blade and foot Control for my hydraulic lift and I finally had a chance to try them out. It's been raining 2 to 4 inches at a time for weeks. I didn't think we would ever dry out. Foot Control works great as well as box blade. Now I just need to add teeth to the blade and make adjustments to the pivot part and find or build the pedals.

...and it's Techy powered too.

You lucky devil. Can't believe your snows all melted from last thursday. I got atleast 8 inches laying in the yard yet. I can hardly wait to get started on cleaning up! Only place it looks like that is where I went through with the blower.

Aside from pump and separate motor, hubs, and maybe axle length, would think is similar if not identical on the transaxle. The motor removal will leave a big void so you may want to drain first and tag your lines as to location on motor and take care removing manifold. Protect all opened hyd areas with rag or suitable cover to keep out debris. The motor and manifold gasket will almost assuredly need replaced, so get you some along with case gasket, some use RTV sealant. Gasket is economical. Your hubs may be stubborn, be prepared for a fight and they can break/crack without warning. D's hubs are prob a lot rarer also. If you get a chance get some pics and show us what we missed by not being there rootin' ya on!!! Bye the way where in Ok, Shawnee/Earlsboro was my old stompin grounds!

Cab was delivered today. Looks pretty nice. An interesting summer project getting this varmint fitted to the C-160 to say the least! Sorry about the Power King Sign!

Raking the stones back into the driveway and back on to the road was my least favorite chore. (and after this winter that wouldn't quit there will be a whole lot of them).. Blisters sore shoulders etc etc. This makes it much easier. Since the picture I have added casters to at the brush ends and weights on the rear wheels and draw bar . The project probably doesn't take an hour of sweeping time ( I have several hundred feet to do.) but it is spread out over a couple of days waiting for good wind conditions. The broom is fixed angle. We have all had snow blower discharge get us but believe me dirt rocks and grass are not something you want in your face when the wind blows the wrong way. This is a permanent set up the C175s only job now. Hooking this beast up is too much work to keep taking it on and off..

I got to talk with Jim for a few minutes today. Good to hear him. Sounds like he is going to start chemo tomorrow. Good luck my friend. He is still checking out the nurses, so he is still OK.

I made it a little tough by loading it backwards. It looks pretty good. I am fairly sure much of it is original. Unfortunately a previous owner somewhere along the line drilled a few holes in the hood and one set started tearing out. Also there is a cigar lighter drilled into the dash portion of the gas tank... something doesn't seem safe about that.. and I'm pretty sure its not stock was not an option from wheel horse. Edit: and it has 5 bolt hubs, and may need some bearings in the transmission.

Evening all, well after the shock of finding a fully grown tree outside my workshop when I arrived! I started to sort out this mess of wiring.. And by the end of the day, the Beast has awakened

Martin, did you mean KM 125? The KM 125 is equivalent to the Timecutter seat that I was getting. Or is the KM 123 more equivalent to the original Toro seat? I got my Timecutter seat yesterday. It was very nice with one exception. When the seller was boxing it up, he put a carton staple through the vinyl on one side. He is taking it back and has refunded my money, so I am looking again at the KM 125 or KM 123 seat. The current price is $100.00 plus shipping for the KM 125 and $93 plus shipping for the KM 123, plus $12.75 for the seat switch.

Great question Mike, OK, the answer is, Yes, except on the days we set our clocks back. Oh, and the sun may not rise the days we set them ahead.

Wish we had indoor shows like that around here. Most are in muddy fields!

Be sure to stop by the bus stop and drop your loose change in the cup! I'll never forget finding a $10 bill in a puddle at the food window last year. I handed it to one of the ladies working there. She was so overwhelmed that I was so honest I got a free pop!

hey Jim...looks like Squonk has been in the Hospital also. You got that going for ya. It's hard to believe you would lose your patience...besides...that is "their" job. So did you get to met the real Jim Beam...I am on a first name basis with him. Hang in there Mate...sleep with one eye open.

Again I want to thank you all. Had a tiring day with three procedures. First was another bone marrow biopsy, then an echocardiogram followed by a central line for IV,S. I am beat folks. Will try again tomorrow.

it's been out of commission for awhile but it's back with a new motor and new rear meat, some maintenance on just about everything and after moving some snow piles back from the road and driveway, I shined it up in the garage since the temps were in the high 30's today with a little rain! Now I need to find another Onan or repair the original that was in it. Need to tear into that later this week or next weekend to find it's issues though I just know it is most likely a valve seal in the rear cyl.

Here's kind of an update, from what I read on Jim's facebook page is that Jim is being transferred to the University of Cleveland hospital and that as soon as he is released will enlighten us about everything going on. Wishing nothing but the best for you Jim. Prayers sent
