4 pointsBob, Back in 1975 when I got out of x-ray school I worked midnights at St. E's in GC for a couple years as an x-ray tech. Then I worked as a tech at the hospitals in Belleville til the late 80's. That's why all my friends call me DOC. I moved away from the area in 1988 and have sold X-ray equipment for the past 25+ years. Cancer is not a death sentence today by any means. Treatments have greatly improved and its not unheard of to live many good years after diagnosis. My best advice is go with your gut, if you don't like what you hear, by all means get a second opinion. I do know one of the best treatments is a strong positive attitude. Like anything in life you will have good days and bad days. Fortunately with treatment regimes now days the good will out way the bad. Above all you have to keep an attitude of you can and will kick this thing. Keep the faith and may God bless you and yours!!! STAY POSITIVE!!!

4 pointsWell as the title states, I have become a first time member to the super "c" club. Dad made a trip to pick up a new to him xi and I worked out a good deal, at least I thought it was for this C-195. I just brought it back to my place tonight. It needs a few little things and maybe some cosmetic work, but she will be a fine worker! Here it is at home. Need to put the pins back in to the 3-point arms.

4 pointsMartin, I like what you are thinking about the shots this year...I have 3 at the moment that I would like to submit...

3 pointsI bought my mowing deck for 25 bucks but it had serious rust damage. I started patching it last week. I haven't welded in probably a decade. Here's before and after pics of the first patch. What do you guys think?
-
3 pointsI got the handlebars and wheels painted then sent the wheels to "Rideable Bicycle Replicas" in California to have the solid tires installed. These tires are cut to length, the rubber has a hole in it that a wire is inserted into. It's then installed, the rubber is pulled back and the wire is either twisted tight or pulled tight and brazed to hold the tire on. It took a lot of searching to find someone to do this, I'm glad I had this done by someone that knows what he's doing rather than try it myself.

3 pointsyou guys are funny asking if they are worthy!!!!! ALL of the tractors that everyone has posted is worthy of being in the Redsquare calendar. one reason why i want to do two different ones this year is so some of you guys with the older unrestored, workers, abandoned and rusty, barn dusty ones have just as much chance as the very nice restored ones. hey, i have a few shiny ones myself, but i will go down the garage and sit and stare at the original, surface rusted ones as well. i think they actually have more character!!!!! the deciding factor is going to be more about the creativity with the person behind the camera rather than the tractor itself being 'good enough'......

2 pointsI was originally going to replace just one, but I'm really getting too old to jerk with this stuff, so they're all getting replaced. The rod bearing looked NEW, I've never seen one in such nice condition. I think that it's going to last a long time with 6 new pistons.

2 pointsMine is broken also...Check your air cleaner during your annual maintenance.

2 pointsI think I'm going to have to go out and get some 'new' good shots ... I can't find the one I really want to submit of the B80 alongside the garden ... For now here's One that might be okay, and one that I'm sure isn't but I'm putting it up anyway because, well I miss her terribly and this picture will be going in the Shop when it's done ... my Mom on the B80, when we still lived in town... always supported my love of history, and all things WH ... right there along side helping and encouraging. Wanda F. 4/11/1940 to 6/28/2014 (sorry but I have to share - don't be too hard on me)

1 pointI just obtained a Wheel Horse C-125. If I read the tag accurately, it is a 11-12K802 w/ 28022 following. That's all I can read on the tag. It is a black hood with steel fenders. Can anyone tell me what model year it is?

1 pointLast winter, during one of those super cold days, I started up the Cherokee (because the diesel had gelled) and took a kid to cheer practice. On the way home I heard a really loud and bad knock. I parked the Jeep and really didn't get motivated during the summer to fix it. Well, this weekend I got it torn apart and this is what I found! I've ordered up 6 new plugs, the rest of the engine looks really, really good. No sludge, everything is clean, can tell it was maintained. Turns out that the 4.0 is NOT as bulletproof as you would be led to believe since this is a relatively common problem.

1 pointI put one of these decks on my C161 after I restored the tractor. I figured that by the time I got a deck cleaned up enough to last a while I would be half way to a new one and the new one are built better any way. The new decks are one of the few things that were made stronger that the older versions. I guess that was Toro's contribution.

1 pointVery nice Scott! I have driven Steve's on a number of occasions. They do sound real nice and they are large and in charge for sure!
-
1 pointHave the same issue on my '90 520-8 Onan. The little plastic barb fittin' would probably break again if I replaced it. Why bother? I don't use it, keep an eye on my air cleaner. In my opinion, just a tad too much.
-
1 pointTell me about it.. Even though there is only 1 Wh in the shack at the mo it looks even more full Have some photo's of the mess Here's some photo's of the new workshop taken by Nigel on Sunday.. It will soon get filled up today

1 pointGet some duct tape around that wire tie and you'll be good for a good 100k miles (kilometers?)
-
1 pointVery important to remember the indicator board only INDICATES - it DOES NOT CONTROL any function of the tractor. You can remove the board from the tractor and it will function without issues. I'll wait for your response when you are ready to send out the board. I'm sure the outcome will be several repaired boards and maybe 3 or 4 more people worldwide who understand how (and give two hoots) about this board works. p.s - I started preliminary work on reverse engineering the components on the top 1/4 of the pcb. Most of the components are there solely to flash the oil light - fascinating, as there were simpler alternatives available when this design was conceived.

1 pointNaw, Geno I was just looking for the wheel weights. He has two mounted to each rear wheel and they are the thin inside wheel weights... I was hoping to have inside and outside weights this year. Haha no I just asked him if he would separate, didnt even give him a price.

1 pointI know that I started this thread about a year ago, but I have some updated pics from this year to share. I applied new vinyl graphics that my cousin made for me earlier this year. So, she has a bit of a "different" look now... So, other than new vinyl graphics and rear tires, this puller is still basically the exact same tractor that I bought off of Big Jake a year and a half ago. Still a ton of fun to drive. Giddy up!!!

1 pointHere is a pic of the mod I made to my 520s seat. I also removed the coil springs and the slider, then added big rubber bumpers made from an old bow roller off a boat trailer. I also added a hinged 1/16" thick plate to cover the holes in the seat pan. This keeps the grass out and also acts as a reinforcing plate for the bumpers to rest on. This arrangement is very stable.

1 pointSold some parts and traded as well. Brought home a 59 RJ, mid cultivators from Chasm for the 704, a homemade york rake from Wallfish and a plow from Wallfish's dad, a nice K321 and a bunch of little stuff for projects. Not pictured is a 10" Brinly plow from Denny Clarke that was shipped on the "Haulasarus" and is now being hauled by buckrancher as I ran out of tie downs and room!
