AJ and his friend Zack made to my place to day to pick up a 68" Lawn Ranger I picked up for him last weekend. It was a great day...they spent some time, helped me move some things around, took a couple of my horses for a ride...went to Cabelas" and then AJ bought me lunch. Thank you AJ & Zack...it was a banner day.

I know this is probably not the right spot to post this but thought everyone checks this fourm first, so anyway Just wanted to say what a GREAT bunch of folks we have on this site. Have been looking for parts to fix up a c-160 auto and have had tons of help from everyone on this site. Dave, Bruce, Curtis, they know who they are... have gone out of their way to help me. It is very refreshing to know there are still people in this world that want to help a stranger and in turn make a new friend. TO EVERYONE HERE A BIG THANKS !!

been a busy day we've been staging scenes from back to the future we lacked the flames, but did burn some rubber... Here's kinda how this came around and a whole days testing with a few breakages along the way but finally I think it's sorted, can't wait to get the front and rear 3 points working now.

I will comment on the Onan...WOW! Now that I put about a hour on it. What a sweet sounding engine. Purrs like a cat. No vibration. You can hear the power. I know the torque will be there. A whole differant beast. With a whole diferant sound. Glenn

rollingflat, You are absolutly right, this is a great place! It has been a pretty depressing week when you watch the news, but I know when I check in here my mind will switch to a better place, and all will be right in my little world. Wheel horse takes me back to a time when at least I percieve that life was simpler, and machines were engineered and built with pride to last. Maybe it causes me to look at life through "red" glasses, but if that's the only imparement it gives me, I like it! Rick

This is a photo of my progress so far. No major problems yet.

1999 314-8 290 hrs on the clock with a 42 rd. Initally bought this from the original owner who had m.s and couldn't get in it Soni sold him a new one at work . I had this a year ago and did some bartering with a co-worker and got it back today. Started to clean it up will be finished up Tommorow. Here are a couple of sneak peeks more to follow.

while not as nice as JerseyHawgs 520, I got this 190 416-H for only $225. 500 hrs, tight steering, a little rusty but runs great and 42 RD cuts super!

It was a gorgeous day for sure.. I was trying to talk Steve into following me home so I could put him on some big bass out on my boat tomorrow.

Looks like a great day for you guys. That second pic had me worried for a second, kinda looked like Steve won over another convert to the Chicago NoSox. Boot up AJ it gets deep out there.

Another one bit by the Onan bug...

Nice looking tractor, Glenn. The engine is easier than the 522xi to get the tins off. Put Matt's pedal on it, and Tom's 2" receiver so it can do anything. It needs the cup holder seeing as you already have the armrests.

Here we go.. heading out now for the day. Hopefully we make some big progress !!

Progress !!!!! I was finally able to start the siding. Tomorrow is a BIG day as I have a small crew coming here by 7am to start setting up the staging and getting started on the roofing. I believe that Fireman, Timbo, KenB and a few other guys will come over and we can continue on the siding. Whoo Hoo!!

We need to establish an early warning system.... to get the word out when Geno's on the prowl. Then set, and bait the traps. Here Geno, Geno, Geno!

Here's a photo of my 854 hood/cowling after I did some work on it.Had to weld up cracks and holes where lights were installed. the bottom attach point was cracked and bent, so lots of work, this photo is after a lot of sanding and body filler, but its worth it.

I have a B80 with the same problem for a couple years. Finally I installed an electric fuel pump with a off and on switch. Have'nt had any problem all year. I talk to some guys at a rental store and said there installing them on all there equipment. Hope tis helps.

YIPPEE!!!! Today was sheet metal paint day!! Used BASF products, 4 stage, well, 5 if you include primer, but 4 in the finish layer!! First we applied 2 coats of white base ... Then in the second stage comes the cool stuff ... 2 coats of Arctic Ice White ... this is where we make everything look like we were at a strip club!! LOL It's really hard to see in the photo ... These were all done with 10 min flash time between coats .... Now the first coat of Candy Apple Red ... Looks good, but way too "pink"!! ... so ... the second coat ... Now we're talkin' ... but still not there!!! Try coat number 3 ... then add 4 coats of clear ... AND..... WOW .. that's sharp!! Let dry till Monday AM, wet sand and buff, then start boltin' together!! FINALLY!!

Gophers are as bad as the Queenies! Can't trust them either. Well folks I hope you took pics because that will be it for any Illinois teams winning this weekend!

Very clever mod! I might have to do something like the foot control on my GT-14.

Think I'd be pulling those tins and cleaning that Onan before something let's loose on it.. You'll have it looking top shelf in no time!

A nice diversion rekindles the spirit! Sort of like mine for half tractors as they take up less room also. I can remember going through CG Engineman A School and tearing into those Evinrudes and Johnsons. I'd make it a Family Room decoration seeing as my wife collects Yellow Ware and Pennsylvania Pottery.

I'm not YouTube savvy as far as posting, but, one video and song that keeps me going through all this is Third Day-Sing a Song. Check it out guys! It is awesome!

I've built one on project bendy, here's a few pics. Just the lift cylinder to add, there's a build thread on the arms with measurements on my GT14 thread, the other pics are under project super bendy.

Lookin good!! I have my C-175 with the Eaton 1100 down now for some other repairs and have had my eye wandering over that hand control for several days now and I already had a few ideas -- now I have a couple more!! The C with Eaton is a good bit different but still...
