5 pointsHi. I'm new to the forums. I own a D160 with 48" snowblower, 48" mower deck, 52" tiller and lawn sprayer. Recently my wife decided to build me a snow cab. (Yes, you read it right - my wife) I thought I'd share a couple of pictures here. She made the frame out of wood, which makes it very light and easily installed using only 4 bolts.

2 pointsI purchased this WH aerator last weekend and just finished restoring it. I plan on using it on my yard next year.

2 pointsRun the old girl empty, enjoy the seat time, and before you know it you'll be shooting fish in an empty bucket

2 pointsAll that stuff never happens in the Mid-West...it seems like it always happens out east. All of our kids are Campbells' kids....bright shinny faces and rosy cheeks...homework done...rooms cleaned...and asking, "do you need any help with anything Dad" ??

2 pointsI will have a trailer load of WH's for sale at the Wapakenetta flea market, tractor show on Nov. 8th. My buddies are selling them for me, I won't be there in person. Some of the tractors for sale are, 603 Special, 500 Special, 857, 552 w/1962 snow plow, a 1966 snow thrower and maybe a snow blade or 2 also. I may have an old RJ 58 for sale too and possibly one other tractor, not sure what it will be yet. These tractors are in descent shape and most will need restoration or repairs. Anybody looking for this stuff, feel free to contact me or show up at the show. Thank You...KJ

2 pointsI agree, home would be nice, especially since that stupid tomahawk chant wouldn't be as loud. We get so tired of that. It should be a great game as long as the turnovers that have plagued the Irish lately come to an end. The weather is going to be absolutely perfect so that can't be used as an excuse. GO IRISH!!!!!!!!
-
2 pointsAnd I'm betting all the time the kids were adding oil & pull stating ,the other hand was texing all their little buddies on suggestions on how to fix it. HERE'S YOUR SIGN...
-
2 pointsRemember the BIG GAME this week is ND vs. FSU!!!!! GO IRISH!!!! Only 5 teams left undefeated and this one has the makings of being a true fight to the finish! To bad this game is not beig played as a home game for the Irish. Something to ponder... If Ol Miss and Mississippit State win out the rest of the season, they potentially could be 1-2 ranked and still have no loses. They would then play each other again in the play-offs or possibly, dependig on how the play-offs are structured, they could see each other in the Championship game....... Rob

Gary. this was benefit car show last year at work. A 657 that under a porch and forgotten for 25 years all cleaned up. this was my second 1057 that had I hated to sell it. the engine was rock solid but not a looker.

2 pointsDittos on that. If one more case unrelated to the Duncan one shows up, I don't think the government will have any other choice but to put a ban on travel from West Africa. I'm flying to Orlando on Monday and you better believe that I am more than just a tad concerned.
-
2 pointsI've thought of doing this too....but it might consist of only me out in my shed drinking beer and talking to myself...so, basically I have a meet and greet almost every night

1 pointHad some good shop time today and got a lot done. Should I say I am almost finished. Tomorrow The only thing left to do is put the seat on and finish hooking up the lights. Have to get some male plug in inserts to finish the lights. I am very pleased with the way this turned out and really proud of the work I did. Nu first restore and it looks like a winner to me. Still have some decals to add. Will do that tomorrow also then take a tour of the neighborhood. If you look in the background of some of the photos, you can see the new Deestones for the rear . I need to paint the wheels and let them sit for a while before I install them.

1 pointI haven't seen any stink bugs on my screens since this guy has been hanging out there. If I can document his success, I may have a market for the MANTIS stink bug decoy.

1 pointOh well, I just went out to look for the serial numbers, but the sun went down, and using a flashlight I can not find the darn things.. I read where the serial # is located on the right (front) section of the frame. I don't see it.., Thanks Kudzu3 ... I will post them as soon as I can find them (and see...its to dark for me to be climbing around the things right now. Thanks for helping though.

1 pointI think it looks like one of those Flamingos only it is painted like a pheasant...you getting close to retirement?? My wife has stuff like that all over the yard. I told her..."the first flamingo I see in the front yard...I'm outta here". I'll bet she never thought of painting a flamingo to look like a pheasant...I am going to have to change my password on Red Square, so she does not see this. Thanks Mike...

1 pointI deal with a bunch of these beauties everyday. The kitchen staff where I work is full of them. The dishroom looks like an Animal House food fight took place every day. I'm the first call to repair all of the equipment. Yesterday 1 doofus was screwing around and knocked the emergency gas shutoff button and electrical box clean off the hood with his head. Last week they knocked. a $2000 conveyor toaster on the floor. I tell everyone that I could put a solid block of Iron in the kitchen and in an hour it will be broken

1 pointJerky is not normal. A few of my Eaton hydros are real jerky but most are smooth. I have not investigated to see why the jerky ones are that way. Hydro operation is a very broad topic. Is it possible to change the title of the thread to "Jerky Hydro" or start a new "Jerky Hydro" thread under Transmissions?

1 pointThe guys sitting on top of the trucks roof in the middle of the river got me laughing pretty good. My wife told me yesterday some one who had a few too many to drink ran a stop sign and drove their car right into Candlewood lake yesterday or the day before... I wish I saw that! The wet paint sign is hilarious... I worked on the electrical maintenance crew at the local mall for a few yrs. You wouldn't believe how often people touch or sit in wet paint. You can have the biggest sign in the world, dozens of them in fact, it don't matter because sooner or later that special some one always come along! I can remember a time one of the painters was repainting the parking space lines in the parking garage... He barricaded off a section right around a turn going up the garage. When he didn't have quite enough cones and ran out of yellow caution tape for his barricade he used two FULL five gallon pails of yellow paint. When I saw that I told him, dude, that can only go bad. It wasn't ten seconds later that a car came ripping around the turn and plowed right thru the barricade... I looked at him and I had to laugh, What a MESS! Another time one of the landscapers was driving the brand new Chevy one ton dump. He must have raised the bed and forgot to lower it all the way... When he went to park it in the parking garage, holy smokes he must have been doing 20 because he tore that thing up! I gotta tell ya, it was a daily idiot show working at that mall... Every day it was something else.

1 pointFrom what I've seen on here, any Wheel Horse in Florida is rare and $400 for a 520H is a bargain anywhere. There are more money parts on a 520 than almost any other W/H.

1 pointDo I have a set, yes. Have I ever used them, NO. Why do I even own a set? For that one in a thousand situation where a cam sensor or crank sensor is literally buried in a engine compartment and I'm already 99% sure its the sensor at fault. If I would pierce a wire, I would cut it at the pierce and splice it with an approved self healing silicone crimp similar to what is used in telephone repair work. I would never use these devices on my personal vehicles for the reasons stated above. The manufacturer goes thru great effort to spec weather tite connectors and quality insulation for their harnesses. Dealers highly discourage poking holes in harnesses due to warranty concerns. Is this a concern for the do it yourselfer? Doubt it. Then again I can't imagine these devices being necessary in the repair of lawn and garden equipment. Poking holes in harness wires is certainly not considered a "best practice" in professional circles.

1 pointHF has two compression testers. Get the one that screws in. The Onan manual says: 75-115 psi is acceptable.
