6 pointsI am going to organize a safety course for our younger tractor drivers, maybe have them bring their Wheel Horse that they are going drive letting them show me what they know about the tractors operation. I could check over their Wheel Horse to also make sure it is in safe operating condition. Possibly an easy test and a wrist band to show they have past. I liked the engine cackle with the decibel meter but I am still looking for a way to show the world with the web TV just how many people and Wheel Horses attend the Annual Wheel Horse Show and I have figured out a way BUT BUT BUT It will take major involvement. I was thinking of a DRIVE BY in front of the camera, not like the parade but ....... lets say we mount a camera in a stationary spot and we all just drive by the camera one Wheel Horse right after another. The time and number of Wheel Horses would really show the world that this show is big ! At the show this year Neil and I were talking about world records and maybe we should contact the Guiness Book of World records as the Annual Wheel Horse Show is the largest gathering of Wheel Horse tractors and the largest garden tractor show. 5 pointsThis year was an amazing time at the WHCC show. Being able to spend Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the show is really a must for everyone's bucket list, and trust me if you don't have this on your list, you better put it there! One of the best parts was hearing feedback about the forum. I didn't hear anything negative, but I learned quite a bit by listening. As soon as I get MY computer back running again, I will be getting something together for business cards. I can't tell you how many times this weekend I heard someone promoting and we have NO cards to give out. During the raffle, I was sitting almost directly across from Redbird who was explaining to a friend of hers what RedSquare was and all about, and even Tony kicked in explaining how we got our name, better than I can do too! So RedBird, unfortunately no one had a card to give (but that is going to change), you really don't have to post a picture as your first post, but I am glad you did, and thank you for the awesome things you said about this place, it made my day! One of the most memorable conversations that I had was when a gentleman pulled me aside and told me about his hospital stay where he had an extended recuperation time. He spent a lot of time on here, reading through posts and isn't even a member, but he wanted to thank me for keeping the site available as it really helped him pass the time. I learned that there's a large percentage of enthusiasts who don't know about RedSquare, and I need help to figure out how to reach them to at least let them know that we are here, if they want to post a picture, read to pass the time or figure out how to change that mower deck. Of course, the regular crew. You guys are amazing, and even thought we have our "family squabbles" you're here, supportive, enthusiastic, and just the best group of people around (but Craig, next time call me a little EARLIER for the campfire). So what I've learned is this, it a really cool thing that we have going on here, and I am really, REALLY proud to be a part of it. I am humbled by the conversations about RedSquare, especially from those who may not have known I was listening. We're listening, thankful and eager to engage more people to bring into the folds. Finally, what i learned is something that I knew for a long time. I brought my oldest and youngest kids with me. Megan fell ill the first night, and I was really upset about leaving her in the camper by herself, so her brother stayed with her (maybe just to play mine craft I don't know) and I know she didn't have a stellar time, but I asked her and she did.... she had a good time because I had a good time (and that she got to speak with someone from the U.K. thank you Carolyn). So, thank you all for a fantastic show. It's always a pleasure to see everyone, and I am honored to be the guy who sits in the back of John's wagon riding around the grounds with a laptop in hand recording the event! Hope to see you all next year!

5 pointsNo, but thanks for thinking of us all. We have it in the rules that there is no posting of Craigslist or Ebay ads. Mainly for two reasons..... 1-- Because this is the internet... if you are savvy enough to be on the forum... you likely check your own craigslists and ebay anyway. 2-- because you never know who's "deal" your posting about... they may be a member here. Inevitably someone will comment negatively about the item for sale, (usually some nit-picky detail) which causes feuds/rifts/squabbles/flame wars among the membership, so...we just don't allow it.

5 points2-3 months ago in Merry Old England.. Neil: Honey, lets go on Holiday in June. Carolyn: Great! To the Greek islands? Neil: No, to the states. Carolyn: So where are we going in the States? Neil: To a tractor show in PA. Carolyn: Oh no, they have those nutters there in the states too?!? but isnt there a lot of crime in the States? Neil: Oh thats just on the telly...

4 pointsThis is a great thread. Some good ideas to ponder over the coming winter. I like the WHCC Wild Bill Show idea. I could make a couple banners that could be mounted on some wooden stands that could be positioned so collectors could be interviewed one at a time in front of the portable backdrop during live broadcasts. Also a great way to promote the WHCC as well as RedSquare. I am thinking of investing in a camcorder with wifi and a wireless mic. Maybe we can find a software that allows us to by-pass youtube and also archive the live broadcast for playback at any time.

4 pointsVOICE !!! By the end of the cruise night I could hardly talk, I guess the cool night air and whoopin' it up all night ..... wellllllll I went horse ! OK OK pun intended . The amount of Wheel Horses and people attending was unreal this year, I'm sure the tractor count was over 800. Keep in mind that quite a few people do not register their Wheel Horses . Some how Karl with his computer skills managed to siphoned just the correct amount of gas out of my Mighty Lawn Ranger Six Speed so the tractor would come to a stop during the cruise night right in front of the camera so I would have to do the Wheel Horse dance standing up on the fenders ! A THANKS to Eldon for bringing his decibel meter, we did get up to 126 decibels during the engine cackle and that was with only maybe 20% of the attending Wheel Horses participating . We will try this again. . The Friday night campfire talk ....... that ended early Saturday morning was fun, I did not get there till 11:00 pm but it did last till the am ! Neil I hope you enjoyed the show and short tour of the grounds Friday morning, I hope to make to a UK show and see your Wheel Horse, thanks for saying hi to Chris Sutton for me. If you have not yet been to the Annual Wheel Horse Show then next June you need to stop every thing else in your life AND GO ! You will not regret it. Wild and Very Tired Bill

3 pointsBoy it was sure another great show!! In my opinion, the BEST part was the people you meet or see again and the conversations Thanks Duke (HorseFixer), stevasarus and Van (Wheel-N-it) for you know what Thanks to Fun Engineer for the extended conversations . . . I think we solved all the world financial problems I really hate to name names because I'm afraid I'll miss someone. You all know who you are. We have a NEW member "Rocuski" that I sucked in last year (friends with his dad). He brought the 1267 and made a new purchase of the 753 that I'm sure he will try to have there next year. He and dad had it running the day after they bought it! My "setup" beside buckrancher The raffle tractors with Neil from the UK and his lovely significant other Wild Bill (bpjunk) revving up the crowd at the parade Boy, if it was red Mrs. Zeek Me explaining the fire breathing capabilities of a finely tuned Tecumseh and Wild Bill pretending to go temporarily deaf buckrancher's beautiful brand shpankin new (NOS) LSE work of art that doesn't touch the ground Neil on stevasarus's ride I should have taken more pictures and will have to work on that next time. I saw a bunch of camera clicking so I'm sure there will be other posts.

3 pointsOur camping neighbors the Wilson's (Wayne and Rich and their families) from PA. had some nice tractors and they were great people to connect with. I think Rich Wilson made up this 1968 Wheel Horse Lawn Ranger for his daughter into the cutest little tractor at the 16th Annual Wheel Horse show! I did not see any other as nice! His daughter ( and her sister behind her with grandmother a tow) drove this thing several times around the show grounds. And she drove safely and well!

3 pointsI had an awesome time at the 2014 WHCC show. After attending the previous two years as a visitor, I brought four of my horses to the big show this year for the first time. The Friday night cruise was the best... enjoyed participating in the cruise very much. I did not take a lot of pics but will make sure I correct that faux pas next year. Here are four of my horses set up for the show on Friday morning... L-R, 1955 RJ-35 (bought from fireman Jeff earlier this year), My dad's 1962 502 (restored from basket case condition), 1977 C-120 puller with a 22hp Robin Subaru V-twin under a 1965 hood (bought from Big Jake last year), 1995 314-8 worker I bought on local York, PA CList two years ago. My cousin Levi trying out my dad's 1962 WH which I got to take on a road trip for the first time. It took me nearly three years to finally finish it... well, that is until I can get fire in the old Techy... I am in my first WHCC tractor parade behind Mike (Squonk). I am riding on my 1955 RJ-35 which I recently acquired from fireman Jeff... Could not resist looking at this 1961 hot rod WH eye candy. Gave me ideas as to what I want to do with my 1961 basket case project sitting in the back of my garage waiting for some attention... Thanks to all of the WHCC members who put on this show. Already looking forward to next year.

3 pointsI "have this friend" that has a quad remote helicopter that has an HD camera mounted on it that does live feed or recording. If that seems like a good idea, I can probably arrange that. I'm not sure if we have ever had an aerial view
-
3 pointsI got a few little odds and ends but mainly I got to spend 3 days with a great bunch of guys and gals and lots of little red tractors Brian

3 pointsKarl, I agree with everything you mentioned. I also am proud to be a RedSquare Supporter and Wheel Horse collector. Until three years ago, I had no interest at all in Wheel Horse tractors other than I knew my dad owned one 50 years ago when I was a kid. It was then just three years ago, my uncle found my dad's old 1962 WH and gave it to me for free. I immediately began to disassemble that tractor thus beginning the start of a restoration project. Knowing absolutely nothing about Wheel Horse tractors and their history, I did some internet googling and happened to find RedSquare forum just by luck. Well, three years later and now today, my dad's 1962 WH is finished other than figuring out some carb issues. But, I am now a full fledged RedSquare Supporter and collector of eight Wheel Horse tractors. I brought four of my tractors to the big show this year for the first time and had a great time riding around the grounds as a proud owner of several Wheel Horses! Being one of the "new kids on the block" so to speak, I am somewhat of a shy person by nature, and would have liked to have personally met each and every RedSquare member who attended the show. Unfortunately, most of us go by a "nickname" other than our real names and I find it difficult, at least for me anyway, to remember names and faces especially when I have no idea who most of the people at the show are if they do not have some kind of "nickname" identification on them. Seems like I "know" a lot about RedSquare forum members by their posts that I read on the forum. But that doesn't always help me without a real name or face to associate with a forum nickname. I would have liked to have met Sparky and fellow York Countian ekennell, for example. Anyone whom I asked who or where Sparky was had no idea if he was there or not. I have learned that Ed (ekennell) through the 2014 show pictures thread was set up not to far from my tent, however I did not know what Ed looked like or that he was even near me throughout the show. I also would have liked to have seen fireman Jeff again to show him the RJ-35 that I recently purchased from him as I had it all painted up real nice. Anyway, all in all, I had just a great time at the show and am looking forward to next year.

3 pointsI came home minus a Charger 12 roller, But I got a decent cab for the 520, some spare ignition switches and condensers, and decals from Terry. Really pleased to get the cab and it fits real well. Just need to make some ductwork to pipe in the heat from the vented belt guard. Then take it apart and paint the support frame and clean the windows and canvas. Started a pattern for the duct work.

2 pointsMy brother David Ralph and I attended our first Wheel Horse Collector's Club Show this year (at the urging of Ray "Doc" Buesking We thank Ray and Carol for being such good neighbors during our stay. I took quite a few photos and we departed the Big Show site at 6:30 AM and arrived in Greencastle, Indiana at 7:00 PM -safe and sound. I will post a few photos of some things I saw the Wheel Horse Collectors Club in 2014. I want to also thank all the Red Square Wheel Horse members I visited with for their great visits during the show.

Keeping track of him is a handfull! loaded up to leave: Thursday's festivities after the skies cleared was constructing a tractor out of odds and ends by Wallfish and co.Motor was full of water no ignition switch ect. I hope you enjoy. 1) cleaning the trailer at the house 2) two women with kids driving in the rain holding umbrellas. Where else but the Wheel Horse Show do you see this ? 3) Wheel Horses from West Virginia 4) Wheel Horse powered ice cream makers 5) the rarest Wheel Horse Show raffle prize ever ....... estimated worth over $10.000 6) Wheel Horses from Maryland Wild Bill

2 pointsI really didn't want to sell my recently restored 603 at the show but once I saw this 161 8- speed I knew I had to have it. I bought it from Dale at Dale's mower service who was a vendor at the show. (he's a real nice guy) He rebuilt the engine at some point and let me tell you, it has some snot! I've owned a few C-160's and a C-161 but they pale in comparison to this one when it comes to power. When I got home I made some very minor adjustments and threw a 42 inch side discharge deck on it that I had "in stock" I thought my 417- 8 had some nut but it now seems tired in comparison! I would have liked to have kept my 603 but space is limited, besides I can put this C-161 to some good use.

2 pointsIt's probably not the same type of generator..and i'm certainly not the best to explain things in English But maybe you can do something similiar to what i did when the 10HP Briggs broke a rod on my generator. Mine also has a tapered crank and a long bolt thru the armature / rotor. I found a bolt a little big bigger than the hole in the end of the rotor ( where the long bolt goes ) and cut new threads in the end of the rotor and put a long piece of steel rod thru the rotor. The steel rod will then fit between the end of the crankshaft and the new bigger bolt that i cut the threads for. Tighten the big bolt and it broke loose. Sorry for my English spelling..it is the best i can do.
-
2 pointsMaybe by contacting Guinness book of records , it maybe possible to get an entry in the book of records for the largest gathering of garden tractors or something on those lines, wouldn't it be great to add a Guinness world record holder advertised on the WHCC website .
-
2 pointsNeil: Enjoyed meeting and talking to you ! I just wish we had been there a week to get more good conversations conducted! Keep up the good work you do on Red Square and your enthusiastic love of Wheel Horse tractors!
-
2 pointsWith the internet capabilities we now have I need to get a hold of NORAD! I need tracking on the whereabouts of Craig. Just like they do with Santa on Christmas Eve. Maybe put it up on a Jumbotron! He's a hard guy to keep track of and if I had a dollar every time someone asked me "Where's Craig?" I could have bought Steve, Neil and their wives dinner!
-
2 pointsFor next year's video effort, we'll certainly kick it up a notch. Most importantly, the live feeds are great BUT we need to publish a schedule of events a week or so prior to the show and be ready for the video effort. This year was awkward for me as what now appears to be a hard disk cable failure put my Macbook out of operation and I used an unfamiliar computer to get the recordings going. I really like the idea of the training class, but what I think would be really cool is to follow YOU around Bill as you tour the grounds and work the crowd. You're very active in the show, not shy and I think that the "WHCC Wild Bill Tour" would be a nice segment.
-
2 pointsI bought lots of stuff but the bigger items are pictured. 1984 C195 from Jordan, a very clean original 1957 RJ35 to complete the missing year/model in my collection, a nice K91 that runs mint, and a original Ride Away Sr snow plow with original rear chains. Not pictured are many items like 7 seat covers (4 from Mrs. Buckrancher, one from Fun Engineer and 3 originals, a 1959 RJ that I bought and sold after I got the "planter" and rear seat bracket off it that I wanted, and a bunch of other smalls that really added up... This was another great show and I had a blast as usual. My regret is not having enough time to spend talking to all the members here.
-
2 pointsMy son Cole and myself had a fantastic time even though we got a little wet and it seemed as though the time really flew by this yr. Most of the ride home we talked about what tractors we'd like to fix up and bring to the show for next yr. which was a good thing because if I slept a total of two hrs. since we pulled in on Thursday I'd be real lucky. I know that I learned at least a few things... Well, for one know one recognizes me without my hat on. And two, them 6.0 Ford diesel's can get it done! Karl was towing at least 13,000 pounds and his truck pulled that huge and I mean HUGE camper up them Penn. mountains like it wasn't even there! Pretty impressive I must say...
-
2 pointsMore pictures. 1) bringing the Wheel Horses out of the barn for the day 2) super neat 3) ever see a Ride A Way Senior pulling a Ride A Way Junior ? 4) the registration table 5) almost home at a rest stop in Virginia, Scott from Wasaw , Indiana called me when we just happened to be stopped here to thank me about the show. Wild Bill

2 pointsGas in a water bottle can lead to a distasteful mistake! Seeing Brrly's 4x4 rig in a picture is one thing but seeing it in person is a whole lot different! The craftsmanship and attention to detail is incredible! it looks 100% factory built. I saw the miniture Senior up close and talked to the guy that built it, again, the attention to detail is incredible! I also saw Brians NOS 420 up close and talked to Brian for a good 15 minutes about it. This 420 looks as though it just rolled off the assembly line! Its gorgeous. After seeing it I have too say that if it were mine I'd be tempted to start it, but I wouldn't! Great pics Mike.
-
1 pointMorning all, if you have been following my Project Zero-ish turn build then you will of read there has been a big change of plan for it... Well, here's the big change of plan Here's a clue.. Here's a bigger clue.. This should be a big enough clue for you Yep that's right this Raider 10 is being reborn as a fun machine. Powered by this water cooled, 48hp V twin and 5 speed box Yesterday was a long but good day as the Honda was slowly taken apart. Until the engine came out.. "Walking" it up this plank to get it onto the bench was fun! A good looking engine.. But... Will it fit in the Raider without having to chop bits of the hood out or stretch the chassis???

1 pointPicked up a great item at the show just before I loaded up to leave...This hitch set up is meant to go on a the rear of a Unidrive machine but I took a couple of 2 inch U bolts and and fastened it to the front axle of my beater 633...after I unloaded the flatbed I hooked it to the trailer (which doesn't have that much tongue weight empty) and moved the trailer around with ease....it is a real pain in the neck to back the trailer into the yard with a my crewcab 8ft bed superduty with the truck camper on ...I have to come off the street blind on a 45 degree angle up a slight hill on grass and into a alleyway in between my shop and the sundeck of the house, with this I have everything in front of me and don't have to get out 10 times to see if I'm close to smacking something and tear up the grass with the pickup. I didn't get the name of the guy selling them...but it works like a charm !!! Bob T

1 pointI too had several people come up and say how much they enjoyed the forum. I also had a fellow tell me his hospital stay was made somewhat more pleasant my reading the posts between me and Steve going back and forth. Wonder if was the same guy.My RS hat took a beating with the rain but the button with my name on it made it easy to strike up conversations. Great Job Karl!
