In 5 days we will be hitting the road to PA. I am bringing the mugs and also a very good friend of mine who makes buttons has made us 50 button with the following artwork so we can identify ourselves at the show. the first fifty members who come and sign the member guest book will get a button that they can write their name or RS username on with a sharpie. Or just pin it to your hat or shirt. Still time to have a mug made if you have not requested one do so soon as I will have to start printing soon. Remember the mugs are no cost to members.

Ya know what I think? A man's got to have some fun! The hell with all logic, enjoy that tractor. I have a 520 with 230 hrs on it, I don't REALLY need it, I could get away with a lesser machine, but for right now it makes me real happy. If you have any problems with the tractor deal with them as they come just as I'm gonna if my 520 starts to act up. If you have a driveway that is large enough you can throw a snow blade on that 520 and use it to clear the drive. I used mine to clear 26 inches of snow this past winter. I waited till the snow stopped because I really wanted to see what my 520 was capable of. Shoot, I may have SPUN the tires a little but at the end of my drive the snow was so deep it was coming up and over the hood. My neighbor was watching me and he couldn't believe it. I never got stuck. The 520 is a snow pushin beast and clearly the best snow tractor I've ever owned, and there have been MANY.

Take a peek-a-boo in my gallery. Most of the footrests have this on 'em http://shop.ccs.com/product/model:119559/sku:61-33654/mob-perforated-grip-tape/black/&SID=7284&inceptor=1&cm_mmc=SEM-_-Engine-_-Google-_-Plusbox Been using coarse grip tape for years. Easy to apply, stays put, inexpensive. I did bookmark amcrules00 link, nice. Thank You!

Try classic kitchens web site. I tried to put the link down but it won't paste. It's called - classic kitchens and more. They sell Wheel Horse floor mats and other Wheel Horse items.

Thanks again everyone. I didn't realize the quality of the machine I lucked into. Looks like I am going to need to learn about what all this tractor can do so that I can take full advantage of it. Looks like I'm going to have to tell my wife I have a new hobby.

Now this is what I call a Work Horse. My favorite application is this one-of-a-kind single-wheel cart trailer for hauling goat manure. Incredible machine!

I traded my Cub original for this beautiful piece of equipment. She came with the deck and push blade. Everything is solid and works awesome.
  12. 1 point
I ran across a blade and a rear discharge deck at the scrap yard. They have not been used in some time but I think they will work out fine. $54.00

Jason, Why don't you just put a price "that's reasonable" on it and sell it if your done with it. Lets not go back to the past. If you want to trade it for other tractors, list some models up that you want to trade or are looking for. People are gonna be gun shy of your ads. I too have seen your listings on Craigslist. You need to be more specific about everything.
  14. 1 point
you already know what i will trade for it,its just up to you to decide.
  15. 1 point
Won't you need your leg to run the tractor?
  16. 1 point
You know what will happen when you trade that tractor don't you? You will need it for something and kick yourself for trading it off. It just never fails to work out that way for some reason. It's just like all those things you had for years and never used. Throw them away or sell those parts and you'll need what you sold the next week.

Bo, I might should have phrased my statement a little bit differently. What I should have said was: Since both plugs are supposed to fire simultaneously... This is called a 'wasted spark' design. While one cylinder is on the compression (firing) stroke, the other is on it's exhaust stroke. BOTH plugs fire at the same time. One lights the incoming air/fuel charge, while the other one fires into an exhausting cylinder... thus the 'wasted spark'. This is why for diagnosis purposes you can swap the two plug wires at the coil in order to easily narrow the problem down.

If you were closer...I'd trade you my wife and my left leg for it.

Great website, interesting mix of stuff. Didn't see any Boomerang pattern Formica counter tops though. Finishing a repaint of a 244H, will certainly replace the rubber footrests. A note on one of the parts shown there, the fuse block & terminals. $18.00 there, but it is available from Mouser electronics for $3.77 and $0.29 for the crimp terminals: Fuse block: Mouser Part #: 829-12004943 Terminals: Mouser part #: 829-12020321 Common part used on custom cars etc.

I used Classic Kitchens and 3M #80 spray adhesive. I used masking tape for the outline and to cover the holes to keep the adhesive off some areas. I sprayed both the mat and the metal per the instructions. It holds really well. I didn't have a final picture of the floor board (just the whole tractor).

amcrules00 thanks, I for some reason could not get it to paste on here. Always have in the past. Anyway I think he will find what he is looking for there.

On a budget, this stuff can be cut to fit your floorboards. Just find the price you like. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_nkw=skateboard+grip+tape&_frs=1

Suspect you are describing the 103119 bearing/shaft assembly. Look at this file Click on the 36" decks Click on a line with the "C" spindles. That will open a page that has the "I" design. Look at that bearing 103119. ----Groove up---- Is that what you are needing? Garry

The important point is to awaken folks to the hidden interest burden one can encounter when they begin to add ancillaries onto a home mortgage. Don't give away serious big dollar, long term bargaining chips when small change toys are substituted in their stead. Given your scenario, the true cost of the tractor will be at least $3500 not considering the inevitable $2000 dealer Onan rebuild in the future, plus routine maintenance and repairs all of us experience thru the years - coils, ignition modules (he knows those two have already been replaced once), bagger nylon mesh bags, etc - so around $6500 minus deductions of about what, 2% of the overall yearly home mortgage refund? All for something the owner leads off the conversation by saying he thinks is "too much" for the lawn he has. What he has is indeed a solid piece of equipment. Let us be cautious so as not to make him yet one more unknowing RS member who becomes an International Harvester Red "skid mark" ending at the cliff so many other lemmings have jumped from. Jumped in pursuit of the siren's song of tractor fame and fortune only to end up sacrificed on the alter of Onan parts cost and carburetor idiosyncrasies. I wonder how much an Onan ignition module is going to cost in 2030? Will society have already deteriorated into a Mad Max type existence where bands of tractor enthusiasts roam the country to pillage for Kolher ignition points and over-sized Onan valve seats? Who will make away with the last known quart of Regal Red enamel taken from the grips of Tina Turners minions. I will enjoy the show! J. Henry - listen to your gut sir. You know what is ultimately in your best interest as you make plans for the future in your new home. I wish you good luck in all your endeavors.

Those blackhoods are sweet looking. I am definitely going to get one of them eventually!

I did some investigation and one end is indeed .030 longer than the other. It would appear the short end goes down and the long end goes up. Otherwise the blades will not lock down.

Hohum.....if the old saying "location, location, location!" doesn't hold true in this exact situation then shoot me. Around here you'd have paid triple that for sure. Very nice deal.

Hockey fans are an odd lot. I remember going to a Sabres game with my brother about 30 yrs ago. We took the Metro line down to the Aud. Sabres lost inlike the last 5 min. of the game. We get on the train and an old lady about 85 gets on with her purse and umbrella and SHE IS PISSED!! She's swinging that umbrella around cursing the Sabres coach something fierce. nothing like seeing Hockey live. corner seats are the best!

Its a roller right now... I was hoping to finish up the motor today but I had a couple of things around the house that needed to get done and ran out of time. I'll have a better up date in the next 24-48 hours. Thanks!

Check out Craig's List and Ebay. I paid $400 for my engine and it had only been run for a few minutes. Someone on Ebay sells the 6 horse power china diesel engine for like $459.00 with free shipping.
