What a great day started at 9am 55rj35jr & I (octfst) met at speedyleedys & off to Mt Vernon for breakfast. then to Hammerheads for visit & some tractor talk. from left to right octfst, speedyleedy, Hammerhead, 55rj35jr some of Hammerheads tractors couldnt help my self bought a wheel horse from Hammerhead for parts for a future project Then off to Mt Gilead to my barn to drop off parts tractor & pickup my B100 I sold to 55rj35jr son who just moved to house where needs to mow. funny thing is a couple years ago I bought this tractor from 55rj35jr. then back to speedyleedys. had to unload a wheel horse I hauled to his house he bought at auction yesterday. when it was time to leave speedyleedy went to move his new tractor & it wouldnt move. so we had to figure it out. turn out to be a broken roll pin in the clutch linkage. got home about 6:30pm. What a great Day. Thanks guys

I use Sea Foam in both my motorcycles, WH, 2 cycle stuff, pressure washer, and my Ramrod 915. True believer in the stuff. The quality of gas in my area sucks and the ethanol isn't helping at all. The main use is as a stabilizer for the fuel in the off season. It will keep fuel fresh for up to 2 years. During the summer I will run 1oz per gal. every couple months or so to clean out the fuel system. Works great on FI and carbs. I get it by the gallon and it lasts for years.

Well i got it running It took a lot of exhaust valve adjustment, ignition adjustment, and cranking but it finally fired up. Thank you guy for all your help. I had to adjust the exhaust valve down to like .008" to get it to crank properly but it works.

Your dad picked up some bits for your project when he dropped in yesterday - so don't plan on doing anything but resto, resto, resto this weekend! It's going to look grand! Andy

First, you should locate a machine shop that does small engine work. Second, consider a clevite bearing for your rod and have the machine shop grind the crank pin for the bearing insert. Third, let us know what you do! Crank turns in my area (for small engines) run about $50.00

It's always great to have the proper tools and especially handy when someone knows how to use them. Stretching the rod would have never occurred to me and it's a great solution. i don't know of anyone having their own Blacksmith in the family. Very nice work!

Wow, It seems like every other month there is a sad story like this here. The recurring theme is that it isn't yours until the money changes hands, and it is loaded on your trailer. Don't feel too bad. 1900 hours is a lot of hours, no matter how much dealer service has been put into it. I got my last 520H with 167 hours--but it was more than $550!

I'm probably all alone here, but I really like that paint scheme and the small racing steering wheel. I would be tempted to leave it as is and just bask in the fact that I own my dad's tractor regardless of the paint and motor. Mike..............
