I just joined this forum today and am glad I can help someone out! I made my own lift cable for my 07-36TL03 tiller and 414-8. The rockshaft is not required - my tractor has manual lift and I can lift the tiller no problem with or without the assist spring (I'm skinny and not that strong). My cable has never come undone. Total cost for parts was less than $20. http://s566.photobucket.com/user/Dr_Clank/media/Wheel%20Horse%20414-8/IMG_2217.jpg.html http://s566.photobucket.com/user/Dr_Clank/media/Wheel%20Horse%20414-8/IMG_2219.jpg.html http://s566.photobucket.com/user/Dr_Clank/media/Wheel%20Horse%20414-8/IMG_2222.jpg.html

Well I was looking for a transaxle for a D200 that I have that is cracked (bolt in diff came out). I came across this find for a reasonable price and figured that would get me going and extra parts to boot. With the only problem being a shredded motor from the tractor being towed I may try to get it up and running as well : ) The tractor came with some good extras - front cast weights, pto shaft, three point and tire chains - cant beat that! The interesting thing was what was mounted on the rear fender. The PO inherited the tractor from his grandfather and he has fabbed up a "guide" to tell him the elevation of the 3 PT. As the lift is raised or lowered the aluminum indicator (with marks on it) will slide forward and backward. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think. I know he had the rear lift pinned so he would have down pressure and this would indicate just how deep he was plowing, tilling, etc... I have never used a three point but I can see how it would be nice to lower the impliment down to the same height every time. Also note the aluminum fuel tank. I have never seen one like this so I guess it is a custom built tank. Builder did a pretty good job!

Not sacrilege at all! Although we have a few purists here, even they concede that what a person does with his/her own tractor within their means is perfectly acceptable. The main point is we're preserving Wheel Horse tractors as a fine example of American engineering and construction. What color (well, maybe except for GREEN ) they are is a matter of personal choice. I have one it's basicly a mower, they make blades and blowers for them, but I have 520 to do the bigger work, the trans is not very heavy in the 246 but I like mine for mowing, No attachments from the 520 will fit

That is a beautiful piece of WH art. Personally, I would recommend signing the front of the piece by the artist instead of the back for copyright reasons. There are a lot of crazy people on this planet who would claim the artwork as their own just to make a buck or two, jmo.

A friend is offering a deal on a big block chevy. With a slight nose modification, I would be able to push the snow into the county the Tecky landed in!

The one I did was a 1982 GT1848 and I mixed my own paint. I used Ford grey and some gloss white and some black to mix the paint. I just kept going back and forth until it matched the underside of the hood, which was the only place I could find the original color. I mixed about 8 oz. at a time. It came out pretty nice. Gary, Is the offset only on one end, so that, say, the top is set over about 1/2" from the bottom? That is what Jo's picture looks like.

I've done that before too. Doing a little extra for someone that needs it and deserves it makes this hobby more fun and meaningful. To do this right, it ain't all about how cheap we can be. I can't expect to grow a good crop if I don't plant the seed like it needs to be planted.

Ok guys, I have spark. But no fire in the hole. The diodes were in bassackwards, causing blown fuses and no charging. Fixed A finger on the stator dragging and shorting causing no spark and a very slow starter. Fixed. Have spark and the starter cranks like a champ. Have fuel, but no fire. Had a couple poofs that may have tried to be a backfire, but came out the head gasket instead. So I guess it's time for a head gasket and then check the timing. If any one has tips on doing that please let me know, I will have the manual handy for this. P'Chop will make sure I get it running even if it kills me! LOL
