I think that is the name of this current storm... A few pictures with the B-100 raffle tractor. 4 to 6" of gorgeous white stuff.

Was it wet or fluffy? I don't see any chains, You must have a "traction enhancer " on board. Nice ankles by the way!

Here is what replaced my beater 518 Horse. Swapped the previous owner of this nice tractor the 518 for it. Got the tractor and mower deck. Then I got him to throw in a beater snow blade he had laying in the back 40. The cub and mower deck just need a good wax and buff job. The only part I plan to paint at this time are the front rims, which have the usual rust from the PO's letting cut grass stay stuck to them all the time. Cheers Mike

Hey everyone guess what? We are having a strange occurrence here in the great state of confusion. It is snowing. We have 8" on the ground with another 3" to 5" on the way . I haven't seen this much snow from 1 storm in a long time. I was starting to think it only snowed out east . The missus just asked if I was going to plow it? I said, Can't we just look at it for awhile? We may not see this again for quite some time.... No work today. I think I will just hold a cup full and stare out the window for awhile :teasing-neener:

No pictures yet, owner says is a 1951 model, hood appears to be an RJ that had lights bolted on side of hood. Was there a RJ style hood in '51 or where would I search for a modle #, Rest of parts scatered so couldn't see a motor, tran, ect. If his price is right may pop for it. Owner says no seat or steer mechanism> Any advise appreiated. Oh yes, hood has no venting slots in front, fro pics from RJ58 maual looks same!

Hello all, I have been away from Redsquare and tractors for awhile but I am getting the bug again! I may have found one that I am interested in and I am hoping you guys might be able to tell me from the pic what model it is so I can do some research. The add says it runs good and comes with a blade, any ideas on what I should pay for it would be nice as well. Also I must say it is good to be back on this site.

Thanks for the responses and the Vid Clips Gents. I tend to agree that the late 80s- early nineties cars were good. I'll never forget the challenge that Mansell had with that rear tyre Blowout at full pelt and hung on to it. I also miss the Murray Walker commentary and Gaffs. The good thing is , every couple of years (this is one of them), I go down to deepest West Sussex for the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where F1 Cars and Drivers from all eras run the time trails. All accesssible to view up close in the Paddock area. Lots of racing guys and cars from the U.S as well. Here is a link to give you an idea if your interested http://www.goodwood.co.uk/festival-of-speed/news-and-coverage/articles/line-up-for-the-20th-anniversary.aspx Thanks again

I have been the last 2 years and it is an absolute blast!!!!!! And it keeps getting larger every year. Trust me, its one thing to show the tractors, but when you actually put them to work side by side........ its a whole nother ball game. In upstate SC its mostly John Deere and Cub country but there are a few of us Wheel horse guys around. Would LOVE to see some more horses this year. My friend Sammy came last year with his 312-8 and everyone kept talking about his little tractor that was out plowing lots of the larger tractors!!!! I'm sure thats no surprise to you 312-8 owners:)

Well, yesterday was the day to finally get the 312 out for a bit of grass cutting... I should of known that it wouldn't be easy!!! Soooo.. 312 ready to go, jump on it and try to start it..... The engine turns over but that's all!! Here we go I thought.. Quite a while later after checking every electrical connection, giving the safety switches a prod, and even running a separate earth lead (ok, it was a jump lead) from the battery the the engine produced nothing more than a turning over but not firing engine.. Coffee and think time me thinks.. Armed with a mug of Nescafe's finest (you can't beat the original) the "what did I take off and put back on to swap the trans over" thought process started... Seat.... Fender pan... Fuel tank... Wheels... Roll bar.... Er......Hang on.... Fuel tank...... Fuel tank...... Fuel tank...... Fuel tap!!!!!! Doh!! Yep, I had forgotten to turn the gas on With a now working engine it was "get the grass cut take 2" time.. I climbed on, fired the engine, put the trans in reverse and nothing! No movement in reverse or any of the forward gears!!! "Bother" or words to that effect may of been expressed a little louder than normal.. Off I climb, checking that the drive belt hadn't decided to jump off... It hadn't... It was while I was lying underneath the machine I had a thought... After a struggle to get up off the floor I climbed aboard again to find what I had guessed.. The hi/low lever was neither in hi or low!! Why didn't I notice this before I ended up on the floor? Soooo.. Engine running, hi/low lever firmly in Hi, and reverse selected lifting off the clutch produced backwards movement.. First gear worked as well, and the 312 emerged into the daylight.. I knew the PTO linkage needed a little adjustment which only took a few min's.. Climb on again, fire the engine up and engage the PTO... Cool it works... Let's see how it cut's grass... Cutting deck lowered, first gear selected and the Hi/Low lever in Hi, clutch up and nothing!! No movement in any gear again!! More loud words may of been mumbled as I started to wonder if I swapped a very worn/making nasty grinding sounds but still working trans for one that didn't work at all Doing my best to deplete the worlds coffee and tobacco supplies by this point I ended up back on the ground again.. At least the grass was a lot softer if slightly damper than the Workshack floor.. Lot's of prodding, poking and checking bit's you can't see with the wheels on, my fingers found that the grub screw on the trans pulley was very loose!! And thus the 312 ended up looking like this.. Sooooo.. With grub screw tightened, a slight oil leak from both axle seals noted and the wheel bolted back on I thought "let's see what happens this time".. Woo-Hoo we have movement again.. PTO engaged, cutting deck lowered, 1st gear selected off I trundle around the garden finally cutting grass at last... Feeling that the problem was finally sorted at last I got a bit more adventurous and tried 2nd gear.... Er... No drive in 2nd, 3rd, 1st or reverse again!! (Insert "on the verge of tears and climbing into a bottle" emoticon here) And then the penny dropped (with a bit of a dull thud as it landed on the lawn), shouldn't there be a key holding the trans pulley onto the shaft . I'm sure I put one on as the key was taped to the shaft so I would remember to put it on!! Only one way to find out, take the pulley off the trans and have a look... Of course life is never that easy (it certainly wasn't yesterday) and the pulley wouldn't come off with the roll bar in the way.. And the roll bar won't come off with the seat, fender pan and gas tank in the way!! To cut an already very long story slightly shorter, I managed to unbolt the roll bar and wiggle it back on to the right a bit giving me enough room to get the pulley off.. Guess what.. Yep, no key in the key way!! Very puzzled at this point as to why the key was missing when I knew I had put it on, another key was found on the old trans.. Ahhh... Now I see what has happened.. When I put the pulley on I lined the key way in the pulley up with the key in the pulley shaft and gave it a little tap to slide the pulley in place.. Hang on, the pulley still turns on the shaft Pull the pulley off to find the key I had just put on the shaft had vanished!!! Five mins later I had found the key in the grass under the trans.. Quite lucky to find it again as they are quite small key's to drop in long grass.. Let's try this again paying close attention to what's going on... Ah, I see.... If your not careful pushing the pulley on the shaft, the pulley can push the key out of the shaft!!! That's what must of happened when I put swapped the pulley over from the old trans to the new! When I got up yesterday the plan was to start cutting the lawn at about 10am by which time the sun would of dried the back lawn... At 3.45pm the lawn cutting finally started!!! By the end of the day I was (and still is) knackered, but I did end up with a Wheel Horse I can cut grass with even if it does have slight oil leaks from both axle seals (I will have to keep an eye on the oil level) and no Hi/Low lever as my welds on it broke and the lever snapped off, and of course a cut lawn The 312 handled the long dense grass with no problems, I just need to rake it up and find somewhere to put all the clippings now. A fun way to spend the day eh

Some pics: Cab done: Fender mods! Made 2 candy-canes! Went to my rebuilder's house today to finish my engine in his garage. Turned out awesome! Shaved .040 off the tops for head clearence to factory spec plus an additional .015" and then did .050" fly cuts from there for lift clearance and for use of big intake/exhaust valves Beauty: Dropped my Dana 80 off at my buddies house so he can machine the spindle flanges for press fit onto housing. Mocked housing and spring perches up on frame yesterday and it looked and fit great. Going to work on it tomorrow, saturday and sunday with hopes of finishing paint on doors and fenders, finish frame and start final assembly on motor. I hope to test run the motor in the next two weeks. Charlie

tires look good lars....... i wondered how much the 25 x 11-12s would fill the fenders up, i was looking at that size in the carlisle multi trac cs before i decided to go with the 24 x 12-12s on the c125..... the 24" only measures up at 23.3" so i knew id have plenty of room. what do your 25" measure up at?

I'll admit to doing the same. I use a jd model 80 with my tractors. I haven't had the guts to put a picture of it up yet. Deere actually made some really good carts and mine was free so I like to use it. Jake

thanks for all the awesome comments guys........ just as well the pics make it look better than it really is. this one aint anywhere near as nice, but everything has to start somewhere..... and im sure it could make a nice twin for the c125......

Got the frame degreased and blasted today. Got to weld up the crack of doom and then some epoxy primer and then some red paint. It cleaned up real good with very little pitting.

I am the 2nd owner of this tractor. Bought it off of the original owner (who was my neighbor) in 2001. Has a 48" belly mower, 50" tiller, 60" rear mower, plow, wheel weights, and Brinly sleeve hitch adapter. Hours are unknown cause the hour meter stopped working years before I bought the tractor. The current meter shows 860 hours. Kohler K532 Engine has never been gone into but the hydro pump was rebuilt about 3 years ago. The rear end has been gone into twice. Great tractor!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone! Dave, I went with rattle can on this one because I don't have the time to finish all of my projects. That was going to make 4 restorations and I don't have the time to make them all perfect and I didn't want to put a ton of money in this one. I don't have very much in this tractor so I'm very happy and I can drive it around and not have to worry about scraping it. The other 3 tractors are getting painted at the body shop though. Jake

Mike... rather than modify it... I'd just make a slot hitch to brinly style adapter. pretty simple to make... couple pieces of 1/4" steel and a small piece of steel pipe. There's a picture in this thread from a while back. It's attached backwards to Karl's tractor. Here's a picture I found in another thread too... it's the bottom left one.
