3 pointsHey guys.. I found a nice beer to day when i was at some x mas shopping here is a pict Thanks Lars
-
2 pointsPicked this up today. It is a 79350 which is a 1995 48". The guy had sold his 5 years ago & never sold the blade. We were talking & he asked if I was interested. He had taken it to the local dealer 3 years ago but the dealer had not sold it for him. I went to the dealer & checked it out. As soon as I saw it I wanted it. I called him & we talked on a price. Well I thought it was a good deal so I took it. After picking it up tonight I found it has the 5 adjustment holes. How rare are the ones with 5 holes? Here are some pics. What do you guys think it is worth? I can't wait for it to snow. I was excited to upgrade to the tall chute blower this year. Now from an old 42" blade to this. :woohoo:
-
2 pointsThat looks like a pretty nice setup you have there. Make sure to take pics or video if ya get any snow! My 633 and 520 are still arguing about who gets to do the work when the first storm hits.
-
2 pointsThe team sits ready, but how long can you keep their high level of intensity and motivation before thoughts turn to warmer temps and smell of green grass to cut?

2 pointsProbably gonna ruffle a few feathers here but this reminds me of a little kid on a playground taking all the toys and not letting anyone else play with them...I have plenty of rare stuff just as most here do but I don't go to a want ad and tell someone I have a bunch but none are for sale HarleyFX I have a complete ready to install one pictured below that I will ship to your door for FREE!!!! Send me a pm with your address and I will get it in the mail. I sell a lot of WH parts but I also give away parts to other members here on redsquare it just depends on the part and how many I have.

1 pointLayout is done And he hopes to run them off tomorrow. Then they will just need to be put together. Should have them in my hands for mailing Sat. :happy-jumpeveryone:

1 pointHi All! Some background info :In 1990 I bought my first and only . At the time ,I lived in town with a small yard. I wanted a 520H, but really,I could push mow my yard if I wanted. So, I bought a 312H with v bar chains ,37" deck and 42" snow plow. It was a fine machine! I polished it , washed it ,really took care of it. Then a funny thing happened, life moved on. Two boys, built a new house (on almost 2 acres), other obligations. I'm not proud of what I let my faithful become, a shadow of it's former glory.... WARNING: Graphic picture to follow! Please! Don't be quick to judge my heinous ways! Don't rush to withdraw my forum membership! I don't know what became of me to heap this terrible neglect on my faithful horse! WARNING: Another graphic picture to follow! Fortunately, I found this forum! At first it was just to find some part numbers. Then it became something more. Looking at all the fine restorations, the pride members took in bringing old iron back to life, I'd like to tell you that I was inspired. Nay, a feeling of utter shame swept over me. What have I done,WHAT HAVE I DONE! I'm about to right a wrong, make amends,do the right thing. I want to be the owner my started with but who lost his way! With your help, yes, you the members of RS,I can achieve redemption . I can make my proud to be owned by me again! But how can I? I use my WH every week to cut grass. How can I do what YOU have done and are doing to your valiant steeds? By doing it bass ackwards and in a 6 day time block, that's how! I will concentrate on 1 part at a time. Because I need my horse to mow, I have 6 days from the day I mow to restore that 1 part. My plan is to show you what I'm doing and if you know a better way,Please post it up. I will ask questions.I will respect your suggestions. I will modify it if I can make it a better WH .The goal is to get that part back on the Horse for next week. I figure in the fall I can tackle the frame and motor .Who knows where this will end? And when? More to follow.........

1 pointNot like back in the day Mike, when all the town trouble makers were out blowin' up all the tractors in the neighborhood. Whew! I just spent all evening decorating the rusty 702 project I blew apart last night... what do you think?

-
1 pointmy B-80 lifts the blower and plow and locks. did you pin the blower flag to the tippy top hole ?
-
1 pointI thought about doin it but my yard is real close to the street and there are a lot of young kids/teens out at all hours up and down it. There's been a lot of trouble in this small little neighborhood the past couple of years.

1 pointTEXAS TECH, AIR FORCE, ARIZONA ST., WEST VIRGINIA, OREGON ST., MICHIGAN ST., N. C. STATE, SOUTHERN CAL, TULSA, LSU, PURDUE, NORTHWESTERN, GEORGIA, SOUTH CAROLINA, STANFORD, NORTHERN ILLINOIS, FLORIDA, OREGON, OKLAHOMA, PITTSBURGH, KENT ST., NOTRE DAME. I picked these games with my head, not my heart, which means absolutely nothing other than I hope the Big Ten teams win. Every thing else is a crap shoot. :eusa-think:
-
1 pointYou don't, just buy it & a few others....pretty soon she becomes oblivious to how many red tractors you actually have. Just tell her that the little cute B-80 is her tractor and you wanted to get it for her so you could spend more time with her while you are cutting the grass. Explain that this will bring the 2 of you closer together. Tell her that every time you look at the tractor you think of her. Then she might even get get into them too and you can buy as many as you want!!!!!!! Before you know it she will be telling you about ones she saw for sale and you will have a garage full of them!!!!!! Oh..... and by the way Welcome to Red Square!!!!!
-
1 pointIt's always nice to have at least one extra horse in case one goes down for a bit. Ask her how many pair of shoes she needs...then she will understand. :)
-
1 pointEvery time i see one of these i want one that much more. I got a call about a month ago with someone who had one but didn't have the room at the time. Its now gone but i would still love to find one of these to use as a solid yard machine. Very nice score!
-
1 pointWow it looks awesome Matt.. you sure do great job on those engines.. Lars
-
1 pointNot the best pics, but I Ved the cracks with a die grinder, both sides, this is only the back side.
-
1 pointThe finish on these is excellent. The old timers' yard and barn were clean, and I mean impecable. He gave me the hub caps 'cause he knows, "I love my Horses." Wish I had a set for my other Stallions.
-
1 pointStill thinking of you fellows-----wishing you the best-----and for the holidays as well-----

1 pointFor starters, no, this isn't why the site was started over. That was because Forumer went to pieces. Secondly, I was fine with your post on the 5th day. I didn't bring it up. I merely tried to show you what I was thinking when I typed it. Thirdly, I think what Steve was trying to do was recreate what was lost when the shout box was closed. I could be wrong about that, and it doesn't really matter. The funny thing is, when this was happening in the shout box it was just a fun thing that didn't get any flack. Now, put it in a thread and suddenly everyone is a critic. I was sitting it out thinking it might be even better than the shout box effort, but somehow the wheels came off. I apologize to my friend Steve for this contribution to mucking up your well intended thread. And .5racer, you have yourself a nice day. OH and thanks so much for your Christmas Greeting. It reaffirms my faith in the Christmas Season. (I'll leave it at that.)
-
1 pointMy two were good little Horsie's this year, so for Christmas I am giving each one a new playmate. I am giving the 417-A a 416-8, and giving the 312-8 a C125. I'm such a good Dad to those little guys :occasion-santa:
-
1 pointLooks awesome with a blower on it doesn't it? Just don't get in front of it when it is engaged. These may be a member's pictures that I saved in my picture library.
-
1 pointI have a '79 C-101Wheel Horse that my Dad bought new on 12/28/79. I plan on adding to my collection this Christmas by picking up an 854 Wheel Horse. My Dad traded the 854 in on the C-101 and received $600 for it (I still have the original bill of sale). After 33 years, I want to get an 854 for Christmas just like the one I grew up on. I plan on restoring it this spring and have already started collecting restoration parts. I will be posting on here as questions and issues come up. I really appreciate this site and everyone who contributes to it. :)

1 pointI wrote the five golden tombstone weights verse. I used golden to tie into the original song, Thought it was a nice touch. Guess I was wrong. So someone should re-write my nine decks a mowing and the eleven HL5 light-kits too and I'll stick to doing what I do best.
-
1 pointWow it is tough to narrow down which one's are my favorite as I have tried to keep my collection down. 1. Commando 8 (first one dad and I restored together) 2. 1966 Lawn Ranger aka "Lady Ranger" that I restored for my daughter 3. 500 Special (tractor I restored for my son) 4. 701 (Another father and son project that dad and I are finishing up) 5. Both of my 1045's Now I like to live on the edge so I couldn't stop my list...... 6. 1954 2 wheeled Walk behind 7. C-85 (Dad's first brand new purchase, the tractor I grew up on) 8. 312-8 (First Wheel Horse I ever purchased) 9. 603 10. 522xi Sorry for being a rule breaker......but love my Horses!
-
1 pointHe claims to have a new one so I may let the pictured one go if he finds the other one...I kinda got in contact with him at a bad time so he was unable to show me the rest of the stuff but when he is ready I will be getting a call. I got another lead tonight from another former wheel horse dealer that I am going to check out too bad all of these are coming up now when it is so close to Christmas .

1 pointI saw this the other day when i was looking for something and saved these pics. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

1 pointI'm half ready for snow, two Stallions with plows ready. Two with their decks waitin' for spring blue grass agronomy lessons. Snowblower sits, gathering dust but ready to mount. Chains are in buckets, oiled, sleeping peacefully (hibernating for this winter, I hope). Hopefully use the plows just to shave the gravel drive on warm sunny days. I'm hoping the Herd doesn't get their hoofs damp! Seen enough snow for anyone's lifetime, and some! We should prefer to pick Pomegranates (Chinese apples) in Mesa, AZ and admire the snowy peaks in Flagstaff (from afar, real far). These two youngsters are gettin' eager for plowin'. See the "dozers?" Sleepin', waitin' for spring agronomy lessons. Lazy things, still have their decks on! What's with that?
-
1 pointLet the congregation put forth a loud AMEN! on that suggestion!!! Duff
-
1 pointTankman, Here in CT we like our horses, Wheel Horses of course. It's hard not to trip over them, they are everywhere!
