2 pointsThis Suburban started out in life as a 1960 550. I'm not really a Techy/Lauson guy myself so she became a 400. Since the Big Show my son hasn't stopped telling me he wants a rat rod / hot rod Wheel Horse. Since seeing Vins SUPER RAT GASSER at the Zagray Farm show Cole kicked it up a few notches with asking for a Rat. Well, this isn't a rat rod (Resto mod maybe?) but let me tell you, he is now one happy 10 yr. old! The rear tires and rims are 23x10.50's off a 520. I had a spare set of front rims with no tires. While cruisin the local TSC today I saw these narrow tires that match the rears perfect! I have never seen a narrow set like this while at TSC so I had to make them mine. I used chrome paint for the rims and it don't look half bad. I'm going to bust out the welder and do a custom dual exhaust straight out the back for it. I'm also going to look for a few sets of spindles because I think it will look cooler with another 1.5 inches added. Foot throttle is a maybe as well as possibly adding a vintage 1960's red metal flake Superior 500 chrome steering wheel. I'm not cutting or hacking anything on this, I can easily switch it back to a regular old Suburban if I want to but if Cole has any say that ain't gonna happen. Nothing over the top here, just clean and cool. I'll add more pics as it evolves.

2 pointsHere's a group I heard recently. I am not a big folk/bluegrass fan but these guys are quite good, and one of the members of the group is the youngest son of a high school friend of mine. The band is called Deep Chatham and they are out of North Carolina.

1 pointI took a bunch of picts of my rubber restoration process, but then decided a quick little video might just be easier to do. Here's the Ruglyde process I use to make my old crusty tires nice and soft again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPpFKG3wji0&list=UUd_ptV1TUpPlW1VhCjxez_Q&index=1&feature=plcp

1 pointGot home from work about noon today, and started right in on the tractor, I needed a nice seat but they are hard to come by used, I did have one on a old tractor I used to use, I put a new cover on it a few years ago it was still nice but it was gray, so I went to our shop supply house and picked up some Vinyl paint, made for soft vinyl, it was $15 a can but cheaper than a seat, so I thought I would try it, first I painted the seat pan with some Rustoleum black texture paint, I think it looks good and hides the scratches I didn't sand out, then I shot the vinyl paint on it sprayed very nice, looks good, time will tell how good it is. Then I started sanding primer, I was only looking for smooth not flat or straight, the hood has a few dips in it nothing big, I welded a hole someone had drilled in the top of the hood and 5 holes in the fender, I didn't use any filler on them or anything, but they all so far look good, I sanded all the parts that are left, so tomorrow I can spray everything. I asked the wife, great wife she is to pick up the wheels from the powder coater, and a few other things when she went to the city, for stuff she needed, and when she got home she only had 8 rims they had a problem with grease leaking out of the front rims when they baked them, so I have to pick them up next week no biggy I have what I need right now, just glad I had extras done. seat back with texture paint Gray seat after painted with vinal paint Powder coated rims These are rims and tires I'm raffling off next week at the MI, WH show.

1 pointwork has come to a stop this week on the c125, but that doesnt mean i havent been busy. jeanine wanted this cart redone so it looked better and she could tow it behind her 1054 at shows or whatever. so the last few days ive been trying to beat this thing into shape and get it painted at work. i got the frame blasted and painted tuesday, the box straightened up and painted yesterday, and did the wheels today. couldnt find a matching pair of 4.80-8 tires so had to purchase 2 new ones. got the wheels on this afternoon... jeanine knew i was working on it, it got dismantled some weeks ago, but then the c125 came along, and then the c160 and all of a sudden the cart was getting pushed out the way to give me room to work on the tractors. she never said anything but i could tell she was worried it might not get done in time for kellys show........... as of right now she doesnt know anything more than the dismantling has been done, im gonna surprise her when she gets home......

1 pointI won the burn out contest at the local fair, 2 years in a row now, the burn out is about 30sec. I had the car in second gear at about 7000rpm another 20 sec. and the tires would have went bang, they are pretty smooth now, turn up the sound I think 400+ hp is like music, my son Ryan shot this video. Next year I need a gas mask, I could hardly breath and could not see, but I got a nice trophy and $150 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...bed/553c2S8qjE4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
