Winamac , Indiana will have the 35th Annual "Power from the Past Show" on July 19,20, 21 and 22, 2012 at the Winamac Town Park. This year Ford and Fordson Tractors are the featured tractors. This is always a very nice show and lots of nice lawn tractors (a good Wheel Horse bunch here too) and lots of vendors and new and old parts sales on the grounds. The park is a beautiful setting on an oxbow along the Tippecanoe River and covered with with a lot of very old beautiful trees. Last year we had two of our 1964 Wheel Horse 1054's , a B-100 hooked up with a Wh generator to operate the radio and fan! As HOT as it has been here this year we may need an air conditioner this year! EdG made his way up to my house today to pick up that Eaton transmission with hydro that I brought back from Squonk at the Penn show. Great guy and very talented in the sheet metal fabrication dept. Shot the breeze for about 2 hours. Got him on Skype with JimD for a while when we came inside to cool off. Here is the link that started all of this. Good luck with that trans Ed, and was very nice meeting you. Hope to see you again at Scott's M&G. Here is a shot of Ed (red shirt) and me.

hi pycoed. firstly welcome to the forum - come say hello in the Euro Introductions area and get your hime on the map ! secondly welcome to the story of the 6x6 monster ! agree with comments on the chains and sprockets - works for bobcat and argocats... re the low pressure, if I run 2 psi in my quad tyres, then I can't even move the bars when stationary - but can when moving. Higher pressures have higher ground pressure, but less area for drag when slewing. Lower pressure = less ground pressure, but a huge amount of tyre to drag sideways. Ultimately chains would be perfect - or indeed tracks as Ian is going for... The other bit you maybe didn't work out is that the 6x6 special weighs a ton unladed !!!!!! :ychain:

Try to get an epoxy filled coil. The oil filled coils are much more susceptible to internal damage due to vibration. The blue Bosch coils are hard to beat performance wise. Expect to pay a few $$$ more for this high end performer.

The fact that you've got any side-to-side movement is a very good sign. As Don suggests, keep working it with some heat and regular applications of Blaster and it will gradually loosen up. Lord knows most if not all of us have been where you're at with these things! Duff
