Nothing like a high-HORSE power snowblower to get you through a mid-April blizzard!

Thought I would share a video from local TV station about Pioneer Power. If you have ever thought about coming this may help. @Achto @PeacemakerJack @Rp.whEnjoy

Well—cleared out round one! this is certainly the deepest snow that I’ve moved in several years and it is on “TAX DAY”—WHAT’s the Deal? This is really wet and heavy snow that made the big diesel bark and roll coal. It is supposed to snow all day today and into tomorrow morning. I’m so thankful to have RED and the deuce to clean up this mess. I wish that I had a cab for it—maybe one of these days. Round two in the morning... Here's a Video for those who enjoy watching them. Many thanks to @Coulter Caleb for taking it out in this nasty weather!

@Achto, @PeacemakerJack and the rest of us WI boys are suffering through this. At least 1/2" or better layer of ice under the white stuff and no end in sight. Will fire up the 520 later and crush some ice for tonites cocktail! In the meantime got the shop nice and warm for tinkering with the 1077. With the help of Dan got the lift cylinder relocated on the 1257 yesterday. Nice idea on the mod to the rockshaft Dan!

Hello y'all I just purchased my last mower! Found this 414-8 on craigslist and she is a beaut! All I had to do was free up the choke cable and clean the carb and ready mow! This machine has been taken very good care of . I am looking for other attachments for my tractor specifically a snow blade .

Stick the cooler in the yard and see how much you can get in it with the blower. Might as well make a game of it!

Better would be in the fall when we have 10+acres to plow. We plow from sun up to sun down and then some. @prondzy has lights on his, I need to get mine on.

I like to give them all some exercise Robbie. .Safe way to park a heavy trailer in a tight space. Front mounted hitch for easier backing in tight space and no chance of the tractor flipping. Only used on level paved areas. The braking and traction of a small tractor is not capable of stopping a heavy load on a hill.

I am right there with ya! When I am grabbing a wrench/socket to work on something, I am better off grabbing a whole set, so I don't have to make so many trips back & forth!!

Thanks Denny, That's what I get for trusting my old eyes. I guess they need recalibrated.

This Boy and his family “ain’t goin’ anywhere’s taday!” This WI springtime identity crisis is a bummer... Not sure if I’ll blow snow tonight or in the morning but it will have to be done at some point... The positive part is more seat time and a fun family day! Stay safe my Wisconsin and neighboring state affected buddies...

I was able to take advantage of the nice 70+ degree weather today and cleaned up the deck and painted it. i used a harbor freight touch up gun with valspar ih red with hardener and thinner. That little gun did a really nice job. I will be headed back down to pick up a few more of those for short money.

We can usually get a small area to plow if its dry enough, some pretty black dirt here. Last year @WHX16 @prondzy and I plowed about an acre in a couple hours.

Great video Tom! I enjoyed it very much. I had to chuckle a few times at some of the references that weren’t “quite accurate” but in spite of that—definitely something that I would like to do one of these years. Do they have GT plowing as part of their festivities? It can’t be a “totally awesome” event without plow dogs and furrows... Another thing that brought a smile to my face was the IH dozer that wouldn’t start. Isn’t it true that something mechanical will work fine until someone asks to video you operating it—that is usually when the problems begin!!!

This section "1955 - 1964" has now been rid of all 3rd party links (like Photobucket, jpg, etc). Please post pictures of complete, factory accurate horses in the appropriate threads Original or restored paint is OK. A lot of photos have been lost...if you are one of those that had their links deleted and you still have the pictures on your computer...please post them again. Thank You If you can, add your pictures to the thread that exist for your horse. If that horse thread has not started yet, please start the thread. Some horse models are missing.

I’ve reached that point too, Ken. These old eyes sure don’t see as well as they used to.

Ed, they sure look like 1/4” and the do take a 7/16 wrench. Way back when I worked in an auto electrical shop rebuilding those old motor generators and the size of that terminal is just something that stuck with me. Lol.

Sorry to hear of the problem you encountered. Presuming the transaxle case is in good condition you could replace the internal parts including a bull gear and differential from another 3, 6. or 8 speed using your axles. The end plates on the differential would need to be 1 1/8". I put a six speed from a 1257 in a 953 years ago. no ! this was done several years ago and didn't take any pictures. You could put your axles in any three speed, six speed, eight speed or even a hydro as long as they have 1 1/8" axles. The process was very straight forward, I pulled the axles from the bad transaxle and inserted them in the ten pinion with the roll pins. Took a piece of heavy paper and pressed it against the transmission leaving an imprint of the mounting holes, used a hole punch to cut the holes and then bolted it to the mounting plate on the frame. As I recall it the top two bolts lined up perfectly and one of the lower holes had to be elongated about 1/8". The fourth hole was off enough that I decided to drill and tap a new hole in the transaxle case. Could have drilled the mounting plate but as I recall it the hydraulic lift cylinder was going to be in the way or something, at any rate it seemed better to drill and tap.

The float in the carbs bowl is what lets fuel in and stops it from entering. I think you just had 2 carbs with the same issue. Check for leaks in the float and if you turn the carb upside down with the bowl off your float should be level. You can bend the tab on the float to adjust it. It can be junk in the main jet keeping the needle open as well. You might as well pull the carb and tank, clean them both well, then put a new line and filter. I know it seems like a lot of work, but trust me, its the only way to get rid of carb issues. Randy

Welcome to Red Square You have the WH #5053 for a transmission...it is basically the same as the WH #5025. We have some videos and pictures for putting a trans like your together. Here is a PDF of all the bearings and seals in your transmission...you want PDF #1 We also have a member/vendor that sells all the bearings, seals and gasket as a kit or separately if you do not need to replace everything. The bearings and seals are also available from places like Motion Industries, NAPA, etc. Here is the link for the vendor (Lowell) http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/141-wheelhorse-parts-and-more/

Yes. someone has altered the throttle linkage to totally bypass the governor. I removed the air cleaner assembly to get photos of my Tecumseh HH120 linkage. The throttle cable actually is on the left side of the engine and connects to this lever. The lever is connected to the governor lever by this spring. The governor is connected to the carburetor by a solid wire link. It seems you just need to route the throttle cable to the lever on the other side of the engine as shown in my first picture and add this solid wire link from the governor to the carb throttle. The choke cable should be moved to where the throttle cable is now. Also, I do not see a fuel pump on your pictures. Is it inside where the fuel line passes through cooling shroud? Hope this helps.

So sorry for taking this long to respond all. As always, thanks a million for taking the time to help me out! I just started a business recently and it has me going nuts. I was so relieved when I finally sat down and read your replies. I thought for sure the first thing I'd read was: "Good luck with that! Hope you're a really good welder and fabricator! First, you'll need to raise the boonozzlers up an inch and a half, then bend a new schwizzwizzler for the jenklebumpkis. And after that you better fork over some scratch for 2 new left handed wheel hamplers. Finally, you can go buy another machine because the swap is impossible." So imagine my relief when I read the replys. LOL Thanks again and Ill post pics upon completion!

You may also have and issue with how the choke operates. i put a Mag 12 onto a C-81 and the choke lever works backward..up to run down to choke. No big deal it is my anti-theft device
