I had no idea the rear tires were loaded. No wonder it was so hard to push into the shed. :laughing-rolling:

Nice work!  I used “Prevailing torque lock nuts, Zinc plated grade 8 (grade C) steel, 9/16"-18” from Bolt Depot and chased the threads for lug nuts.  It seemed to work great!

Thanks @JPWH… I’m sorry I bothered you with the same question you answered in post # 57.

But thanks for the specifics!

@Horse NewbieNo problem. I just went back to see who the seller was. The tires are a soft rubber but I think they will work good when I fill them. May have to raise the pressure some to add weights.

It was 69 degrees when I got home today so I loaded the front and rear tires. 16 gallons total. I took it for a test drive and when I pulled back in the shop my wife came down to see what I had been doing so I told her and asked if she wanted to drive it. Both Charlie and Bentley had to have a turn with her.

I finished the tandem disc build.

Now I need a large enough garden plot to try it out

I have a tandem disc pull-behind... thingy... for a big tractor.

I could cut it down for a smaller tractor... but I have often questioned how good it would work.

You may be giving me ideas for a project... @JPWH

@JPWH Did the 953's have a factory cover with that round pump out, or  is this just your nice personal mod?

What piece of Sheetmetal did you get the nice red round dome from?

Thanks

@oliver2-44 I don’t have any with that.  Maybe there was a PO mod there from before?
