Lesterjm 2 #1 Posted June 8, 2020 Have a chance to get a pretty nice 54 inch dozer/snow blade for my c-160 but it is off of a Gt-14. Will it still fit if I have the correct rear axle mounts in the back? Thanks in advance, Jon
ebinmaine 72,720 #2 Posted June 8, 2020 If I haven't already said so in the past I don't know if the plow frame will work so I'm going to follow along to see what the others say. Your tractor will push a big plow if you have a LOT of weight and great traction. My C-160 runs around 1350 pounds with all the fluid and steel weights plus me. Lesterjm 2 #3 Posted June 8, 2020 Thank you! Been using the Horse the past 2 1/2 years since we bought our house. It was my dads that he left to me when he passed. He loved wheel horses, and had 4 when he passed and unfortunately had to sell the other 3(C-120 and 2 B-111) and kept the c-160. I tried doing as much research as I could and found that the c series plows will fit in the GT models but couldn’t find anything going the opposite way. I believe the GT has a wider frame but wanted confirmation.

I don't think they made any wideer transmission casings. There is only 5" difference in length between the GT 14 and C-160. don't think the plow frame is going make much difference, But I hope that C-160 is a hydro as hand lifting that 54" plow isn't going to be fun. Lesterjm 2 #6 Posted June 8, 2020 Awesome, it’s a really good price so I might just go get it and worse case might be able to help someone else out. The c-160 is a hydro.
Lesterjm 2 #7 Posted June 14, 2020 Ended up passing on the 54 blade as I was afraid it’d be too heavy and just overall bigger than what I need it for. One was listed a day later that I just snagged up today. It’s a 42 inch blade and in decent shape. Still has the old local wheel horse dealer sticker from my area which was an added bonus. Picked it up for $30 so can’t complain. Need to find some rear axle mounts for the c and then off I’ll go. Have some uneven ground I need flattened up next to the garage to add another parking spot! If anyone has some spare rear mounts they’re looking to sell let me know. Thanks everyone for the help!
ebinmaine 72,720 #8 Posted June 14, 2020 That's an AWESOME steal!!!!! Worth $100 at the least. Mounts can be bought.... Maybe from Wheelhorse parts and more??
