Wife says "no garage

Only time those words oughtta be together is in a sentence more like

Wife says "no garage here so you should build one immediately"

Or

Wife says "no garage is big enough so you should build another one"

I'm sitting here before going to church to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I'm reflecting on our lives and this country that my son fought for.  The richest man that lived in Jesus' day could of only dreamed of what we take for granted today.  Electricity, refrigeration, running water, cell phones, computers, flushing toilets, as simple as our Wheel Horses are, that would be a to them what the space shuttle is to us.  After church we are going to our daughter's house for lunch and spend time with our grandbabies and my mom, the only parent we have left.  Whether we believe that Jesus was the son of God or not, we need to take time to spend with those who love us because time on this planet is short.

Thinned the herd out a bit by selling one of the C125's with its rotovator.

Really sad to see it go, but need the room and a few less projects.

Took it up to work for onward delivery further north in Scotland.

That said....I just brought an older C something with implements. Pictures and details soon.

Thank you wholeheartedly for putting your thoughts the way you did.

Not all of us are from the same "flock", so to speak...

It's great to read such an open minded post.

I spent some time in the outdoor workshop getting chainsaws ready. My Stihl MS180C threw the chain last fall when it got pinched in a tree. Happens.

The internal teeth had a few small dings that were causing it to fetch up a bit as it passed through the drive gear.

Filed them down and put the little bugger to cuttin'.

Works fine but needs a tuneup.

I used that saw and my Echo 33cc for one tank of gas, each.

I laid down quite a few small trees brush etc and a few medium sized ones.

All this is being done to help the sunlight for the garden and also to clear the area where the gray portable garage will be.

Trina and her Momma worked on building a greenhouse out of the frame of the old tan portable garage.

They removed a section so it's 15 or 16 ft long now. The plan is to use onsite materials to build up table-benchy things in there.

She added a row of rocks on each side to hold the whole thing down.

In other news, our acreage is starting to wake up for spring.

We have a pair of snakes hanging around with each other.

Also, the frog pond I've been wanting most of my life is beginning to show signs of new life.

We have at least one tadpole and the frogs are singing.

@ebinmaine I came across a snake yesterday myself!  It’s always a bit startling, but then we have a chat about them keeping mice away and I’ll provide plenty of comfort and tranquility on the property!

Brushed the salt and sand off the 314 today and converted it back to summer time usage and broke it in with a little yard clean up! Feels good to have some warm weather again! Oh and keep the garage door open :laughing-rofl:

Usual Thursday been over the Border to my mate Dunc's place. I never really know what we will be doing. Could be working in the workshop on one of his Land Rovers or farm tractors or maybe some landscaping.

There's also the logging. Today we were splitting logs. Dunc was operating the tractor mounted log splitter and I was keeping him supplied with logs. I reckon we got over 5 ton split and put away in around 5 hours work.

Tomorrow I will spend the day recovering. I really must stop listening to my head thinking I'm still 19 and take more notice of my body telling me I'm not.

Caught a few trout this morning.    Was mowing the fence lines this evening when the corporate farmer showed up with his 16 row corn planter.

Pa.  Palomino Trout is a cross between the West Va. Golden trout and a Rainbow trout.   We also raise and stock Brook and Brown trout

Must be one of the biggest planters JD makes?

When Dan and I went on our Iowa score we were amazed at the acreage of the corn they planted ther.
