What did you do today?

So one of my “Z71 OFF ROAD” decals was missing on my 1998 Chevy Silverado Z71. So I ordered a set and put them on today… muffed up the first one/ few air bubbles…:ranting:

Used the “wet” method on the second one and it looks good… oh well. I’m not redoing the first one because the truck ain’t perfect neither.

Sooo...Dugs gettin a workout with a supporting role performed by a machine of the *cough *sputter* green/yellow variety.

Removed 3 good size bits of hedgebush and relocated. Leveled to within about 1/2in the 15ft circle for the pool. And cut in a new access from mom and dads property to make it easier for them and the grandkids to wander, or ride this way.

Dug got a carberator adjustment, and a new fine tunable hydraulic pump tensioning system! The bolt that was there had bugun rattling loose.

We had a very random Sunday and decided to visit the "Kagyu Samye Ling Tibetan Buddhist Monastery & Centre for World Peace and Health" which is not far from us in the middle of the Scottish countryside.

It was recommended by the hitchhiker we picked up the other day, so we thought "why not?" be something different to do.

Was actually quite enjoyable, and very odd to wander about a monastery!

Photos pinched off the website - I didn't take my phone as thought that might be disrespectful in such a peaceful place.

I woke my Cockshutt 20 Deluxe up from it's long winters nap. She was a little argumentative about being woke up but after a little carb cleaning and some new lubricating fluids she purred like a kitten. Gave it a bath & went for about a 5 mile cruise. This was the last tractor that my dad & I restored together, there was some good memories rolling through my head while on my cruise.  She should be all ready for this years show season. :thumbs2:

I bet @oliver2-44 would like this tractor, it's kind of in the Oliver family. :)

Yep, definitely would make room for that beauty. My Oliver might even get a little envious.

This Cockshutt 20 has the same Clark drop type transmission and rear axle as our Oliver 440 and our Miniapolis Moline BG 1 Row.

I cleaner the entire inside of the refrigerator . What pain ! Of course my 4 legged feline  help got in the way, she even got in the frig and laid down while I was getting paper towels. Wet tabby fur is a big pain to get out of the crisper drawer.

Our push mower wouldn't start so I gave it a boost with starting fluid.. it ran for a few seconds... soooo, after removing the carb... a good cleaning and reassembly.. she fired right up.  I took the opportunity to replace the fuel lines (hard rubber) with new semi clear lines.. and also install a fuel filter.  Running like a top now...

Now to get back to work on my Lawn Ranger.  Deciding to replace the carb or rebuild this one.  I could not locate any makers mark; just a few numbers here and there.  Not sure what carb make I'll go with.

@Handy Don has experience with the OE Tecumseh carb.

@Pullstart has replaced a Tecumseh carb with a small Kohler carb with good success.

There are some good options.

Took a garbage Tractor Supply trailer and made it worth having. Roads in Michigan are crap and I was a little concerned with the tongue and it’s strength. I will be picking up a legend of sorts on my way home from vacation. Yes it’s a horse. More details to come later.

Worked some more on the power cart today, put all the winch wires on got my battery terminals in, havnt mounted them yet but touched up the inside bed paint. Tomorrow might try and rig up trailer light mounts and run some power cables. Then... just need to get the 314 driving again and I'll be back in business, 1 step at a time. :laughing-rofl:

The vertical angle iron for the rail is off from the factory. 3”x3” square tube was added in the center like a spine and welded inside the tongue and through the first 2 angle irons for floor. I will stiffen the rear of the trailer later.

Post or PM a picture. Assuming it's the original engine, a 6hp H60, the carb is the standard can-be-finicky item. Assuming the throttle shaft isn't to worn, then it'll either clean up smartly and run fine or it'll make you crazy. I've been able to keep mine clean so far (fingers crossed). An aftermarket I got to replace a worn out HH100 snowblower carb (~$19) worked ok for me, though as you'll read here, that isn't true for everyone.
