S.W.M.B.O. asks what happens when it rains? Does it get washed off or stick?

Honestly both as both times we have put it on it rained within hours some washed away as some stayed put... Sevin Dust is the go to around here...https://www.gardentech.com/products/sevin/sevin-5-ready-to-use-5-dust... I was trying to find something a little less harsh... https://foodtruthfreedom.wordpress.com/2012/02/11/sevin-dust-is-not-your-garden-friend/.

Likewise!  Im not anti-chemical, but being that I like to pick stuff and eat right off the plant, the more natural stuff the better. Not to mention people seem more likely to try things if they know where they came from and are chemical free.

I get all my treatments from Garden's alive, all their stuff works good and you can eat same day you spray. Not cheap but worth it.

I had to go to Appleton, WI again this week for work and as I was having lunch yesterday, I noticed a small wind garden store across the street with some wind spinners set up out front. While they didn't have a red tractor in stock, they did have a variety of my other love (airplanes). I decided to go with the P38 Lightning. I also picked up a Osprey bird. Of course, the wind wasn't moving that much when I got them set up this afternoon. Also included pics of the garden since I haven't posted in a few weeks.

Website is below if anyone is interested.

There's been a real lack of wind since I put those up. Here's a little this morning.

Decided to bring some butternut squash with me on this trip. It's quite nice having something to look after, and having things around that aren't just made of steel!

@PeacemakerJack @WHX24 @ebinmaine @JCM @elcamino/wheelhorse  @Achto   Just unloaded and hitched up my new garden making tool ... Sold the 414-8 I just finished to my BIL then sold the 315-8 as a gardening set-up and got this soil chopper Cherokee TC-050 chain drive slip clutch 6 tines/flange and as a bonus it should fit the Kioti in WV as well.

Our garden is getting there. We have finalised the building plans. Two greenhouse type things with a wheelhorse shed in the middle that can take four machines, and all the attachments :-)

Garden is growing nicely and we are eating the potatoes. It was a rush job, but we are looking at the long game with the real rewards next season. Still have a lot to rotovate.

This is the building that will be going on the concrete pads, should look quite smart once its finished. I might make a few roof lights for the ends to help the plants, but we will see how it goes.

The middle section will stick out a metre more each way to help create a bit of shape and of course more parking space.

@Dan.gerous

What's the construction method?

Wood or metal

Stick or prefab

Just curious...

All wood, I never get on with brick construction like the Brits here seem to use all the time. Detailed plans in head, but I have built my own houses so this won't be a problem.

      I have the opertunity to buy either a model 607 or a 656. Each of them are $300. First of all is this a good price for either of them? The 656 comes with a deck and the 607 is just the tractor its self. Both are in good shape and both run good (so I’ve been told, don’t know for a fact) Second which one is better for farm use/plowing snow? Farm work would just consist of pulling around a yard cart with horse manure. I haven’t seen much about these models so that’s why I’m asking.

      Just wanted to show my garden! Potatoes, tomatoes and onions really took off!
      Spring time prep included cow manure, a little pot ash and 6-24-24 fertilizer.

      Hi WH'ers;
      This may not belong in this section, but here goes. I've got tons of road gravel sitting on the bank of my roadside ditch due to snow plows. More than you can imagine, because last fall the town spread gravel (regular crushed limestone) on my road. The problem is, my road is asphalt (actually, tar and chip), but in such bad shape it was repaired with gravel. Of course, the gravel never packed down over the asphalt that was still intact, enabling the first plow pass to entirely push the gravel onto the bank of the roadside ditch.

      The ditch is too steep to drive my tractor, so I cannot scrape it out with the dozer blade on my 310-8 (did this on some parts not so steep). Nearly 300 feet of the ditch and lots of rock, so too much to rake by hand. Any ideas?

      I see youtube videos of smaller garden tractors tossing around the 36" Brinly-Hardy disc harrow style discs but has anyone  used anything bigger? It may be a stupid question or bad thing to do but I'm just curious. I'm thinking a 520 could theoretically be made to run a hydraulic line set out the back to lift and lower a larger disc. I don't see any reason why with some wheel weights and Ag tires it wouldn't be able to pull a larger disc.

      I'm not thinking anything huge but maybe a small double gang disc, something in the 4-5' range after taking the outer plates off of a 6' unit?
