Unless its some kind of painful retainer adjuster thats about all I got Yep. A molar extractor. I'll be darned if I'd want someone to use this on me. I’ve been to the dentist about every three weeks since October... I must admit that it was the “profession not a trade” that made me switch gears, and being there so frequently, it was the second one I thought of. Ill have to find a good one, I’ll think as I enjoy my hard won cigar 1

Ed Kennell 35,965 #305 Posted May 9, 2019 I've never seen one, but it looks like it would make a good tack puller.

I was thinking it would make a good cuticle cutter 😂 Get all manicured, then get your dead ends taken care of so you can go out in the shop and scribe a center line on that board before you go get your molar pulled 😂😂 But it is not a tack puller, it works in conjunction with a puller of sorts.

LengerichKA88 1,881 #308 Posted May 9, 2019 Just now, Ed Kennell said: Fish hook remover? Nope, this would’ve been part of a professionals tool kit. Keep in mind that it doesn't really work on its own, it gets used in conjunction with another tool.

Ed Kennell 35,965 #314 Posted May 9, 2019 Yeah, I don't think a full tank of nitrous oxide would have kept me laughing during a tooth extraction with that gruesome instrument.

Ed Kennell 35,965 #316 Posted May 9, 2019 Is it use to separate and create an opening? 1
LengerichKA88 1,881 #317 Posted May 9, 2019 29 minutes ago, Ed Kennell said: Is it use to separate and create an opening? I’m not going to say, definitively “No” because I would image that it was used in such a fashion depending on the individual using it, but that was not its intended purpose. It is used in an opening that’s already been created though.

LengerichKA88 1,881 #320 Posted May 9, 2019 I didn’t really play fair with this one lol. It is called a Goats Foot, and after the Dental Pelican ( @Mows4three molar extractor) was used, this was used to dig in the cavity to pull remaining roots and tooth pieces out. That’s because the Pelican usually failed to remove the whole tooth. In essence: They used the pelican to snap your molar off at the roots, then dig around in your face with the goats foot to pull the remaining pieces out. @Ed Kennell, the smoking lamp is lit for you. I purposely chose a closely related tool in the hopes that you wouldn’t be expecting it. 1
