@stevasaurus, remember he is going to have his wife with him, so I imagine the "shot" business is not in the conversation.

But I'll let the man speak for himself......

You could have a double to even things out!!!  :orcs-cheers:  :ROTF:

btw, I've looked at the map and it looks to me the I-80, and then I-84 is the most direct way to Boise.

Aldon, you are welcome to stop in here as you go by.  I figure you will be taking Intr #90.  Live in Elgin, just after you go around Chicago.  Might be time for dinner and a shot of Jack.  :orcs-cheers:  I'm only a few blocks off the toll way.  Let me know.

Awesome idea. I’ll see how it aligns with stops!

Safe travels my friend, may the wind be at your back, and the sun out of your eyes. :auto-driving:

Safe travels and watch out for those orange barrel zones - I might just be out on 80 making sure folks behave, along with Illinois State Police. It has already been a rough year here and elsewhere with the accident rates once again on the climb - so keep your eyes peeled.

If you need a break halfway across Illinois - I'm 10 minutes off Exit 56 and can meet up for a cup of Joe.

Oops......I  misspoke out of ignorance! Sorry to presume too much.

As to road conditions, you may want to scope out road conditions in advance in Nebraska as several roads there suffered severe damage in recent flooding because of unprecedented rainfall.

Safe travels, Aldon!    I hope all goes well in your 2800 mile journey, selling the old place and finding a new ‘Horse stable.

If you need help with the haul, me and @stevebo know someone with some good ole Chevy Duramax power to help that Ford!  :ychain:

@Aldon sorry to hear you might miss the Big Show this year. I got to meet you and it was a pleasure to talk to you and the others about the little red horse's.

Yup. And since I had all my ducks in a row, and tractor stuff either loaded or boxed, the pack up is going very quickly. The Driver(crew boss) is actually surprised at how ready we were for them today. They had estimated 4 full days. Looks like 3 will git’r’done.

It's good to see you have some decent weather (for now) to get loaded.

Hope that holds throughout the entire move.

Steve,

as as much fun as it would be, I don’t think Elgin is going to be a good spot to stop due to minimum distances I need to drive per day.

I hope to get back for a Wisconsin or Indiana show next year though.

And I may get back to the Show in PA. As part of a business trip. Just won’t have any tractors in tow.
