That's what I did, charlie. I sprayed my sealer then top coated over that. Its flash time was 20 mins. Which I hate.

Got all the steering components, pulleys and trans painted today. They look surprisingly nice!! No runs. The sag on the frame dried up to where you can barely notice it.

Finally repainted my hood AGAIN!! it turned out extra nice. I'm surprised :) now all I got left to do is my tool box that I just got in the mail, break caliper, wheels and seat pan. Then for reassembly..I'm getting scared..

Thanks tommy. Glad to hear that :) I am extremely pleased. The pics inside make it look a little bit orange but its really not. I'm glad its over. Painting the hood is too stressful!

Thanks. Does anyone know where I can get a gasket that goes between the carb and back of the air filter housing?

I believe you can get gasket material from any auto parts store and make it yourself. If you can't find any, let me know and I'll send you a piece.

The decals vinylguy (terry) made me look absolutely amazing. Here's a few.

Thanks , Bob. Work with my tractor has been slow the past week. I'm itching to put this project to rest so I can have my tractor again.

Yes. Pictures don't do it justice. Go to redoyourhorse.com. its easy. I think you'll be very happy with the results. And if you're a supporter you get 25% off. Thats worth it.

Zane what type of paint are you using it looks good. I want to use a good quality paint. Is it true that you have to paint over primer very soon after it is applied?

I'm using classic series viper red. I believe ae10 is the paint code. That is true. You want to do a wet on wet application. If not you'll have to sand your primer which takes a while and if you sand through in spots, your top coat won't have an even color.

Does this mean I can not take several weeks sand blasting parts spraying them with primer and than painting them.

Also where did you purchase the paint you used?

Well its up to you. If you did that you'd need to scuff up the primer before you paint the part. Or if you sanded through you'd want to recoat with primer or sealer then let it tack then spray the color. Also if you prime the pieces and then scuff them up and do go through down to metal it will rust quick. Just be careful :) I got my paint though a family friend who has a body shop so I don't know where it came from. But Napa has paint called crossfire and its good. Some o' rielys sell automotive finishes. You could check there.

Hey all. I have a Electro 12 with a factory belly blade. It runs* and drives. I had used it to grade my driveway the last 6 yrs. Having moved I'm looking at my options on storing it or selling it. Frankly I have no idea what it is worth. I watched "ISaveTractors" video on 5 things to do with a new to you wheel horse/12hp kohler. (When i got it 6yrs ago) And went thru and did the adjustments and replaced the parts mentioned. It has been a good strong tractor for me until around July of this year. (2023)
*Around July it started dying after running 20-30min. I replaced the carb (Chinese Amazon purchase) with one from isavetractors web site. That seemed to help it idle smoother(the old carbs jets wouldnt adjust), but it still dies at around 20-30min.
      So I've got 2 questions.
      1. What is it worth? (As-Is) and
      2. What do I need to do to fix it?
      Thanks yall!
