The coveted 3-piece Wheel Horse seat

Recommended Posts

That came out great Bob! Have you ever used one of those type seats? I had a real nice on that came on my 75 C-100 but it was one of the most uncomfortable seats ever. I ended up selling it.

So.....did ya restore the sweet seat I gave ya :ychain: at the show?

Mike...........

I agree about comfort. The only gripe I have with WH's is the lousy seats right on the fender and being so close to the steering wheel. I just picked up a parts tractor with a like new $100 seat from TSC .I put it on Marvin along with some springs. What a difference!!

I have a 1986 Wheel Horse original seat and the molded cover and foam is disintegrating before my eyes. Is there any way to save the cover even if it is ripped in several places? If so how? It won't be long till I am sitting on the foam cushion. I would like to learn how to recover this seat. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find the seat cover complete with the WH logo and foam to rebuild this seat and instructions and /or pictures? Thanks for your help in advance.

The model is 21-12k803 on the 1986 WH with the seat cover issue.

Somebody will correct if I am wrong, But the logo is the problem Glenn. Getting a set upholstered isnt a big deal if you got the money, But I dont think anybody YET has took the bull by the horns and figured out how to reproduce the logo in the seat, with that said I think one of the geniouses on here will do it eventually.

Save Old Iron

CNC the logo into a stainless steel "stamp pad", heat the metal logo under controlled conditions and arbor press it into vinyl. With enough practice, someone can get it right even using crude manufacturing methods. If I could get the CNC work done, the design of the heating elements would be relatively simple and the arbor press a no brainer. It could be done ....

Yea, I pretty much new the mechanics of it. Now if the price of those seats keep going through the roof somebody will get the ambition.

And Bob that is a fine looking seat, Kinda makes you want to just display it by itself on its own rights

Our local seat guy will sew in the logo from our old one at no charge.

I like SOI's idea, but you also need the correct type of material to accept the pressing and hold the shape.

C - Series, Hood and Sheet Metal (square black insert) (also known as black hood models) for sale!

This sheet metal set, including C Series Hood, Dash piece, Seat Bracket, and Left & Right-Side Covers, and Left & Right Floorboards was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted the OEM Wheel Horse Red Paint.

The painted set is not perfect, a little metal pitting on one of the floorboards, a few little imperfections in the paint here and there as I'm a rookie painter, but this is a nice painted set of sheet metal to freshen up your C Series Wheel Horse!

Does anyone know where I could find a complete engine rebuild kit from for the k-19 ? I absolutely love my c-195 and have had it for years. But the motor let go last fall and I want to rebuild it or upgrade the motor, any suggestions?

Picked up a 1972 Commando 800 w/36” rear discharge. From the grandson of the original owner. Hasn’t run in decades but have no doubt that with some cleaning up of carb, fuel system and check the head, it will run like a Horse.
Has anyone ever seen the steering cap logo like this?
