Recommended wiring for electric fuel pump

Recommended Posts

This will be my first venture into the world of electric fuel pumps. I just received my Facet pump and want to wire it into my 1996 416-H (Onan). For those of you who have done this on similar engines, where are you tapping into for 12 volts?

@Bill D I believe it was. Recommended tapping on to the positive side of the coil feed. That way the fuel pump is connected to any safety switches that may be in play also, it gets power during the starting and running phases of the ignition switch.

Exactly.  Couldn't have said it better myself.

But... do add in inline fuse between the coil feed and the pump.
