Thegearhead0324 1,332 #1 Posted Sunday at 10:26 PM Just thinking back about my 1257, back when I helped my dad get it, back when he had his own place to work on stuff in his garage before moving in a smaller apartment building. I want to say it was the summer of 2009 when my dad got it. Then I took over it in the spring of 2016 when he moved in the building. He took it apart and cleaned it up then painted it before I got it, I put it back together and added/changed some things throughout the years. Definitely a big difference between then and now looking back at a couple old pictures. Next year I really want to make it to the Big Show as things keep coming up every year. I’d really like to meet some of you guys as I’ve learned quite a bit on the forum from everything that’s been posted on here. It’s the friendliest and best forum I’ve ever been on. 1

sqrlgtr 695 #3 Posted Monday at 12:50 AM Nice tractor, this was the first year I made to the BIG SHOW and encourage you to go if you can. Took one tractor with me that was sold, but brought three tractors and a 701 motor back with me. Meet a great bunch of guys/gals while I was there, (953 nut was one of them). Well worth the trip, and wished I had not put off going all this time. 5

I heard about the show for 5 years, before making reservations for the hotel. I’m so glad I finally pulled that trigger too! It’s now an annual pilgrimage! 5

It’s now an annual pilgrimage! It was great meeting @Pullstart and one of his beautiful daughters (sorry can't recall which one lol.). They brought me a 551 Suburban that I brought back to Tn. with me.... @Thegearhead0324 that tractor deserves to make it to the show . Btw what size tires do you have on back? 2
Thegearhead0324 1,332 #6 Posted Monday at 02:49 PM (edited) @sqrlgtr thank you, yes i am planning on coming next year and riding it around and meeting everyone. The tires are Carlisle super lug 26x12-12 on wider wheels that I got a few years ago. I’m running inner and outer wheel weights, the hubcaps hide them. I kept the original WH tires/wheels they’re in my shed. @Pullstart I’ve been hearing about the show since I’ve become a member on here and I see all the pictures and videos, it looks like a really good time. @953 nut thank you, my dad was into small engines and accepted the 1257 as payment for doing work for a guys other mowers. I’ve heard that people don’t leave the Big Show without their trucks full, if that’s true I’ll have to bring my trailer next year when I go. sqrlgtr 695 #7 Posted Monday at 07:29 PM Hard to pass up some of them deals for me since there just isn't that many Wheel Horses around these parts. I believe the only thing that I bought at the show was a t-shirt and hat everything else was bought/traded for on here . It all started with @squonk selling me a motor for a 701 and I couldn't find anyone to haul it back for me. @cafoose would have brought it back with him but he didn't get to go this year. He just lives about 10/15 mins from me. So, I made my mind up if I'm going to make the 7.5 hr. trip I was going to make it worth while and brought a few back with me. Funny my wife just doesn't share the same epiphany that I had.
