Wild Bill in VA 1,450 #3 Posted June 26, 2022 Jo has been a BIG HELP over the years running the parade and I thought it's 'bout time for her to get some recognition for her work. Keep in mind folks the parade lasts generally way over 2 hours and Jo in meticulous in timing for sending the next person with their Wheel Horse up to me. Anyhow when I first saw Brian at the show I told him that we have something special planned for Jo and don't tell her. The only other person who knew that something was going to happen was the chief photographer, Linda. I hid my Senior behind Jim and Karen's display which was not far from the beginning of the parade route and so right after the last person with their Wheel Horse came under the tent for me to talk with, I handed the microphone to Jo and told her to hold it for a minute. Quickly I ran back to Jim and Karen's and got the Senior and drove right up under the tent where Jo was still standing ...... now she tried to hand me back the microphone back to me but I wouldn't take back ...... at that point you could see a little worried look on her face! Now Jo is a smart woman and she figured out really quick what she had to do ...... interview me about my Wheel Horse! Now no matter what question she asked me ..... I was not going to give her a straight answer and I was not going to finish talking! Jo was a good sport about the little fun we had and because of her work at the show she received "Life Membership" in the Wheel Horse Collector Club! Thank You Jo.
