:confusion-confused:          Might work but I'm thinking it would need to be a lot more robust to get those brown-welded roll pins to budge.

Twist like a pretzel.  plus the hole in the shaft is only a 1/4" so the bolt would have to be that small. Bolt would shear.

That does have some merit .....but... I dunno. The few Ive go into I just dont see that having enough ... oomph?

I don't think you could just "push" out the roll pin, but the combination of pressure and impact on the bolt may work.     Give it a try Pete.

OK, that sounds more like it - after its got good pressure on it, a good whack - re-snug - another whack- etc. Thats the procedure I use often with pullers (think flywheels)

@Ed Kennell  agree with you and @pacer, on a try it and see set up , install , riser clamp in vise , on drill press , drill 1/4" hole , verify its clamp grip and line up on wheel hole area , there is a punch bolt with a smaller starting tip , think with it clamped in place , lubricant on all related spots . it would have the welded nut thread strength , to start the move . also go over to fine thread bolt / nut . all of my wheel pins are free , just an idea, pete

Most of the roll pins do not stick out of the shaft. The roll pin is a 1/4" pin. a 3/8" bolt will not work.

@squonk already changed that over to 1/4", usually change and modify as i go on a trial run , also fine threaded nut / bolt . all of my roll pins are in the original set up placement , the big difference is that they can easily be driven out as needed . I,M  new at this , was not aware  that you cannot  put a 3/8 bolt  into a 1/4 " hole , pete
