Hard to tell.

Mebbe others can offer info here...

Perhaps a heat gun would help ease the removal enough to keep the paint whole?

Your call. But I’d be inclined to leave it if it were mine. Interestingly, the bottom of the sticker looks straight…? Is the hood tweaked? Maybe optical illusion.

Perhaps @Vinylguy can comment on the paint damage potential and best way to do it if you decide. I’ve only removed them off stuff I was going to paint so didn’t care if paint damaged. Used blow dryer to soften decals…

A hair dryer will help remove the decal if you wish. It should take the decal about 48hrs to really set up. Or a day in the sunlight. The sooner you make your decision the less likely to do paint damage. if your paint was well cured before the decal went on (2 to 3 weeks old) the likely hood of paint damage decreases as well.

Like @SylvanLakeWH said, it looks strait on the bottom, maybe just a hair off on top. Your call.

BTW, this tractor is looking awesome. :handgestures-thumbsup:

I have done things in the past… looked at it with criticism, tried to make it better, and end up making a mess out of it…

Should have left well enough alone…

Maybe the case this time, too.  Looks very nice the way it is.  Most likely noticeable to you, more than any one else.  As long as your happy with it is all that matters.

I think of "proud of it" as being work I'm happy to have my name on--that I gave it good effort and attention and didn't withhold anything important (not that it always turns out well!) :)

There was a thread on here about those.  They are available new.  I forget who made them for wheel horse.

Found the latches.  Contact ACTUS MFG.  They have them on their website.  A 3" latch is $6.31.

I hate the decal on the front of the hood is a little crooked… guess it could be worse.

I do appreciate the kind words though…

If it is crooked- I can't see it.

...and it's prolly straighter than they came from the factory.

No, I think it looks good.

There are some serious faults on my tractors. They still look good to me.

That was an accident… I went to buy a seat for my 1994 520H, and when I got there it turned out to be grey… I bought it anyway since I had driven an hour to buy one.

A few months later a friend gave me the 1984 Work Horse GT-1600… since the Work Horse was grey, I figured it would work on it… got lucky !

Is a 3” latch what it takes ?

I will definitely take some measurements and check that vendor to see how what they have compares to the length of mine.

I have been trying to make sure I get the right length. Some people measure from the pivot point to the center of the ball, and others may be using the full length of the rubber as a guide.

That price is good… most I have seen online is at least $20 or more a piece.

I’ll take it !

If a man really means it, or is just trying to not hurt my fragile feelings:lol: that’s okay with me.

”Ours is not to question why… ours is but to do or die”.      I probably misquoted that….   I just like that quote… makes me feel all philosophical…

And besides, it’s just a tractor…well almost “just”… it’s a Wheel Horse of Course !

Here is the image from the ACTUS website.  It should have all the measurements you need.  You can buy just the rubber strap for $3.43.

Yes, thank you sir…

but I’m trying to not pay over $20 clams apiece for them…

Edit:

Actually I just checked and the are $35 for 2, shipping included, so that’s not too bad…

I have NEVER done that.

Decal looks good where it is. When you put the others on, it won't show.
