@ebinmaine Impressive that you returned to it.  I would have been at the auto shop long ago.

I've wanted one of these Bull nose trucks for a looooonng time.

I've also wanted to build a particularly strong inline six 300 for a looooonng time.

It's been setting around unused collecting dust too long.

Time to ask others for help.

So this is the thing that's been blocking access to Colossus???

:angry-tappingfoot:

Glad you finally figured it out... :handgestures-thumbupright:

Yep, let a pro handle the rear end and whatever else. Get it roadworthy and start enjoying it!

I'd like to use that as an excuse but no.

They sit parallel to each other inside the barn.

Exactly!

I dunno if it'll happen but I'd really like to see this truck pull a trailer to @JCM 's event in September.  If it has a bed by then I'll toss a tractor or two up there. Six in the trailer.

Definitely agreed.

The Pilot is rated for 4500 total. We've had it right around that several times and it does very well.

The F250 on the other hand...

Depends on which towing chart you look at. Some factory charts indicate that truck can tow nearly 7,000 lbs.

If modified on the aftermarket by a professional builder they can easily pull a 12,000 trailer.

This particular truck has done just that with the previous owner.

Maybe I need a WAY bigger trailer 🤔

And then a way bigger truck, and then a way bigger trailer.  Oh where does it end?

Stopped to see the potential repair guy about my truck on the way home. ...
It went really well.
I need to get my truck ready to be towed down there Tuesday or Wednesday of next week so he can look at it late week....
Knock on wood. I hope this all works out.
I told him what I was up to, and he seemed like he was kind of already on the same page before I even defined anything.
Once we get the rear axle issue figured all out, he's going to give the rest of the truck a check over to see what kind of inspection issues and needed repairs we come up with.

All cleaned out.  Next step is to pull the whole thing backwards a few feet for better front half access and get the rollers out. Reinstall the air cleaner and try to start it.
