Isn't there an old saying that "it is easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission"?

If my other half saw two tires at 150 each I might not be alive much longer:P

I just put my fourth set of Continental tires on my car, balanced and mounted at $150 each including the disposal fee. I get ~70k miles per set but for the ride, grip, and safety I'm willing to pay.

See, and it'll accelerate, corner, and stop in dry, rain, and snow beautifully as well. Worth every peso.

Since one of my new ags had a change of heart about holding air pressure inside, I received these today.  They sure look nice!

Jackie’s got new shoes all the way around!  The rears are used... but new to me at least and WAY better than the truck tires!

Kevin-

Glade you were able to put them to use. I agree they look much better!

One down, one to go.

I am very glad that there is a more user friendly center hub from here on out... these things are a bear!

And... we’re in the homestretch!  It was no fun getting that funky treaded Ag off.  I’ll surely keep that for a spare!

@squonk, neat rig , love the portal axel set up , imagine  drawing up something that had no failures built into it ? and had a life as long as you wanted to use it ?  the capability and the original engineering , clearly were were from another time . you can only  imagine  what that has done in its life, can't help but to be drawn to it , pete

Dang.  I did 12 psi in the tubes... but the rubber can tear by hand for some reason.  :confusion-shrug:

I suspect that at some point in the past when that tire was being mounted/dismounted that a tool scored the cords on the inside of the tire and weakened it at.
