Worked on the 1257 today a bit. Decided to finish up the belt guard. Still have to tweak it a bit but seems to be doing what a belt gaurd should do!

Got to finish welding it up and sanding it down but I think ita fitting pretty well so far. Had to re weld up my belt guide since I forgot I only tac welded a part if it and got excited to drive it around alot... and it broke 😅. But all better now. Was nice to get down into the shop again today! Till next time hope everyone is doing well and enjoying everything!

Finished up the belt guide and gaurd today. Put the paint on the guide and re installed it. Then installed the gaurd for final testing and fitment. Seems to work great no rubbing and bolts into place really well. So finish welding it up grinding it down and painting it for final install, and that will be 1 more thing off the finish list for the 1257Heavy!

I finally decided to restore my grandpa's 1974 C-120 with the original HH120 motor on it.

It will be a big project and i look forward to getting it completed for everyone to see!

I would like to hear anyone's criticism or advice as i have never done a project this big especially engine work on this level!

Happy 4th to everyone out there!

I’m building a lowered 300 series wheelhorse. So far it’s a combination of 3 scrap tractors.
the frame, trans and tins are from a GT2500 anniversary special given to me by a neighbor with a trashed Briggs. The Kohler M12 is from a junkyard 312 that was roached. The parts tractor I’m using for the build was another older 312. I’ve got the k301 in the garage. The trans was toast. Both axles wallowed out keyways and 1 axle actually broken.
Anyway! I needed a project and a toy to putt around the neighborhood. I couldn’t find any other posts on how to do the whole thing. I’m trying to keep it cheap using stuff I have on hand and looking as “stock but cooler” as possible. So here we go.
I’ll update this as I go along.
