Im using my d160. Next year i am going to use a real head turner. My 1962 Beaver. I have a snow plow for it. Maybe I should mow it again this year. LOL Well at least I'm waring my Wheelhorse hat! 305 380 #5 Posted November 12, 2020 we have had two small snowfalls and i'm already sick of snow what's that Honda in the back? i don't think it's a 305 Dream as it appears the sprocket is on the left side? 150?
bottjernat1 2,194 #6 Posted November 12, 2020 (edited) That deere photo i literally mowed the grass the day before. This photo was the day before. LOL I have a 47 inch thrower for the new fancy pants deere. but where i live she is way to much for the place. So is most of my machines but I love old iron. I like this new deere till something ever breaks. She is a pricey lady. Edited November 12, 2020 by bottjernat1
peter lena 9,309 #7 Posted November 12, 2020 have one of mine changed over 42" plow , keeping a deck on one to finish leaves , and waiting on the 3 rd for a 42" blower swap , from what I a am seeing , weather is calling for a warmer trend , favoring wetter / sloppy snow removal. going to wait a bit to plow. if I could plow or throw snow and cut grass any day that's what I would do . pete
bottjernat1 2,194 #8 Posted November 12, 2020 Id get alot of looks if i ever desided to use this old gal. My late dad had it restored but never used her for anything. Just to show. I think next year i may plow with it. Its a 1962 beaver 750 model. It uses air craft cable down the tube to a gear box to turn the wheels

You come on up here about February 20th or so... I'll let you move that ridiculous white stuff around to your heart's content!! Trina is going to be using her Pig Pen 867 with a 42-in plow. I'll be using either Cinnamon Horse or the Charger Hydro depending on what's available. That will have a 48-in plow and I may even try out a 60.

As they say watch out what you wish for I could show up at your back doorstep😎 on a moments notice!...... nah!! I'm not traveling now anyway but if I was. I have some dirt to push anyway. Fact I may strap the blade on my charger and push some dirt. That 16 horse just doesn't hesitate!!

In Maine. In November. But I feel so much better this morning because I got up out of bed on my mountainside and it was a nice toasty warm 28°.
AHS 1,550 #21 Posted November 13, 2020 Feels like normal, 28 degrees! Does a plow from a B,C series also fit a D series? It does look that way? I found a D series, in Augusta, with a 20hp kohler opposed twin! @ebinmaine

But the x540 is quite and rides smother. The deere was my late dads. He got on an insurance claim. Someone stole jd 318 parts and attachements while we where at a tractor show. So state farm bought him the deere to replace the stuff. I have a tiller and 47 inch 2 stage snow blower for the deere. I dont use it but to mow with because it is easy to use. This year I bounced back and forth between the x540 and my daughters electro 12. I have a question I just now thought of. Will my blade from my 953 work on the electro 12?
