C101 value

Been looking at c101 it has good tin, engine runs good so I'm told and the gears all work fine. It has no deck and I'm not sure what it's worth. I took a picture of it

That looks like a well cared for C101. A little polishing and waxing and it would shine right up. The C,s are great tractors. Strong, and simple wiring.

It's going to need tires, seat, I would do a full tune up, no attachments,  this where you start adding up what your going to spend after you purchase it.

  Has the seller mentioned a price? You say you've been told the engine runs good. Better if you can hear it yourself and try the gears. If all ok offer £300 and take it from there.

 Replacement seats can be got new around £50. Tyres depending on what type maybe £200 for a set.

Not sure of prizes in the UK. Im based in Denmark, but for what it's worth, without a deck, 300 pounds would be a fair sticker here too. You will probably end up buying a deck that costs the same, so have that in mind ............ . If you do not need the deck then fine, but otherwise you might get a better deal if you find one that has what you need.

Prices in Europe probably will be higher due to lack of supply.  Looks like it is very complete which is a big plus, missing parts could be expensive.

price is a difficult thing. Its worth what someone is prepared to pay on the day.

For example I bid £200 on a wheelhorse never expecting to win. But win I did and was a bit stumped as the machine was a long ways away.

I spoke with the seller explaining my quandary and he relisted it.

A week later it sold for £500. 

Did him a real favour in the end.

If the buyer is there so is the price.

But do be aware how much you will be shelling out for new parts and how hard it can be to get hold of them.
