@19richie66 @953 nut I see now!  It looks like the bottom bolts would fit up or be close, the one top across from the lift cylinder is in a funky spot...

 

 

It looks like as for plow day, This’ll get some fluid changes going on, along with attention to why the hydraulic lift goes in steps.  Low fluid?  Loose belt?  Loose pulley?

It seems, it sprayed it’s oil on its hardware to protect itself.
I guess it was a Winter machine wasn‘t it? 

What a Brave horse, did protect itself with own fluids.. 😎

 

Anyhow, i would first clean it out,

than check the Oil level - i bet to low  
and after fill up, you can easier find the possible leaks.

 

only expect for the simpliest fail. may be a too old Pipe, that leaks a bit.

Best bet is to pull the pin that secures the lift cylinder to get it out of the way. From the loks of it the cylinder needs new "O" Rings anyway.

Well, I got the belt tightened up and have great hydraulics now!  The return spring for the valve might just be the best I have!

Joe’s getting ready for plow day too.

 

First, hanging up to drain the trans.  Good news is that it’s just dark oil.  It’ll drain for a while and get a fresh couple quarts of 80/90.

Does anyone know the part number for an air filter assembly for a Tecky Snowblower engine in a 1054?    

 

I untied the throttle cable and low and behold it was freed up!  I kind of hack-mounted the cable to the cooling tin with a self tapper.  It would really be nice to mount an air filter of sorts to this thing... in case for some reason the field is dry!  I’m thinking maybe I should extend the exhaust out a ways then build a filter housing somehow.  Ya know, in all my spare time!

Well, here we go.  The fuel line has been replaced along with moving the kill to the starter button.  Joe other than choke operations is fully functional from the driver’s seat!

I love it! That tractor looks like it's ready for business and could care less about taking a couple bumps here and there! 

 

I know what you mean about loaded tires. After almost tipping over my small Kubota lifting a box scraper with the loader, I upgraded the rear tires.  Rarely feels unbalanced now.
